Waited in line 15 minutes. Needed a small ring box to propose to my gf. while the store did had them the staff refused to give them or sell them. Disappointed as I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with Sears in my home state, I get the runaround for a paper box here! I would avoid this place, and would recommend you go somewhere else for anything jewelry.

The store is old, it feels old, and the some of the sales associates act like they just don’t care. They act like you are bothering them when you ask for help. The only ones who take time to listen to you are the ones in appliances, and the tool are since they are paid on commission. The positives of Sears is the Kenmore appliances, and craftsman hand tools.

Horrible Service. Employees were sitting down, Manager was reading a magazine, asked for help and the lady rolls her eyes. This store is on the verge for a closing sale!

We were in a tough spot, traveling from So Cal to OR, on a Sunday. Every auto repair and tire shop were closed AND we were out of cell range for about 4 hours, making it hard to find a shop to service us. We had one tire with a nail in it and another with a manufactures defect. We’d already traveled over 100 miles on our spare tire. We finally found the contact info for Sears. The guys at Sears Merced were amazing! They were kind and sympathized with our unfortunate events. They swapped out our two tires in record time, even finished sooner than predicted. Impressive. The guys all wished us safe travels and waved goodbye as we continued on our road trip. That’s great customer service.

My husband and I have been purchasing appliances from Sears for over 25 years. About a year ago we had problems with the stove/oven and since we had a service warranty we called for a tech to come out, the tech informed us that it was the control panel. We were all set for it or be replaced when the tech informed us that they didn’t stock that part anymore and the control panel would have to be removed and sent to the manufacturer. This would take 8 to 12 weeks to get it back. We asked the tech what we would do for up to 3 months with no stove. He said«I don’t know». Little did we know that in our service plan we could have gotten a rental and then would get reimbursed when the panel came back. We declined to have the panel sent in and canceled the service warranty.(Why pay for service that we couldn’t use?) We got a call last weekend from the Warranty department about our other warranties and we’re asked about the stove. We informed the gal that we can celled the warranty and explained the situation. She said she would look into it as we should have been offered replacement since it was in the warranty. Of course we didn’t hear back from Sears and my husband called to see what the status was today. After being on the phone for over an hour and a half and explaining our situation to a customer service rep, their supervisor and a second supervisor AND then the customer service Manager we were told that it was our responsibility to read the fine print and that they were not going to do anything for us. I DONOTRECOMMENDPURCHASINGAPPLIANCESFROMSEARS!!! We won’t be giving them our business any time in the future. If you do purchase an appliance from Sears and purchase the Service Warranty be sure you read the entire thing and be informed since the tech(who calls the warranty Dept while at your house) apparently is not schooled in customer service and doesn’t know how to help Sears customers.
