Came here on a Saturday eve and didnt relaize they were going to close. We got seated like they just opened and got our menu right away. Smaller sized menu, but has all the classic dishes. Ordered the spicy pork. Absolutely delicious. Nice and spicy with great flavor. Rice was spot on. The décor was a bit like someones house and the staff/owners(?) were really nice. I’m not from Merced but I’ll be a repeat customer when in the area.

I love this place. My husband always gets me phở here, usually to go. We go so often they already know our order. They are very friendly and have great service. They have the best phở in town.

I went here for the first time today. The restaurant is in a bit of a sketchy area in my opinion, but the service was really nice. I got there seafood stir fry rice plate and it was delicious. Perfectly flavored and the prices were cheaper than other Vietnamese restaurants in Merced. I also got their Thai iced tea and it was the best one I’ve had in awhile. It was not too sweet like most places and was creamy and had a good balance of tea flavor. This is a definitely a hidden gem in Merced.

The Three Elephants is definitely a place to go try if you haven’t already. Their menu selection isn’t huge since they just opened. The big bold flavors make up for it. My friend and I went and we had the combination phở and the spring rolls. The broth for the phở was a darker brother than most places. Turns out they use ox tail for their broth which gives it a wonderful flavor. Normally I do not like the meatballs that are in phở but the meatballs here were really good! It didn’t have much of a fatty consistency like other places. The portions are huge also. I really liked the spring rolls as well. It had pork and shrimp in it and you had the option to adding peanuts to the sauce. The spring rolls tasted very fresh.

This is the hidden gem of Merced. The orange chicken was bomb, the chow mein was beyond fresh, and the spring rolls were even better with that yummy sweet sauce. I’ve tried all the other Vietnamese restaurants around merced and this by far is the best place. My only complaint, add milk tea to the menu. I will definitely be coming back with my other friends.

Super delicious ! Customer service was good and prompt. Ordered the beef phở and combo phở regular size and they gave a big portion. The curry we had order to go had a great authentic taste! It did take a little long but Everything was made to order so no complaints there. Will def come back to enjoy phở!

everything is made to order. The orange chicken is fresh, with a light crunch, and a nice mild orange flavor. The curry is very good and can be mild or spicy. The spring rolls have marinated meat, plump juicy shrimp and the wrapper is moist not dry. The menu is small however if the execution on the remainder of the menu is as good as the food that we tried, I am anxious to return. Service is attentive and friendly.

A new restaurant in Merced, right off Santa Fe. Limited menu right now as they are still new, but the Phở I had was really good and priced fairly. I will definitely be back to try some of the other stuff on the menu.

I gave this restaurant a four start because I feel like the customer services I received was not good enough. I was the first one there at the restaurant and I didn’t get served first, instead someone that came after me got served first because she were more close to the kitchen. If a customer is there first, you should always serve that customer first and not serve someone else that was there after, first. I found this to be very unfair, but other than that the phở was a lot and very delicious. I would come back, but because of the customer service I received it make me have a second thought about going back.

I tried the Orange chicken and I would say it’s the best orange chicken I have ever had! Usually orange chicken at other restaurants are too sweet and rich but the dish was really good! I highly recommend.

The food isn’t bad. The custormer service was a bit lacking when we entered(«No greeting»). For the price its decent food.

Five dollar phở is great and inexpensive. Where else on Atwater would phở be available? The extra drive to Merced isn’t worth it. Trust me. An old worker from the Merced Thai restaurants told me they cross contaminate the chicken and sea food and even re-serve some old customers dishes! Maybe they’re disgruntled but I wouldn’t risk it. At least you can see them prepare your food and it’s an open kitchen and friendly staff. Hope the menu grows! Good luck

I tried this place on a weekday for lunch. It’s a new restaurant in Merced off of Santa Fe. They’re still pretty new so their menu is pretty limited. I was craving phở that day so I ordered a beef phở. They have two types of phở at that time: beef and combo(beef and seafood?). Their phở is like a fusion of Vietnamese and maybe Thai flavors. I’m used to eating phở in the Bay Area where it is mainly beef broth and meat. The broth was not as flavorful as I would like it but it might just depend on the day and how it was made… Service is good. I was given a lot of attention. Pricing is good, didn’t hurt my wallet. I will come back again. They also had other things on the menu I also wanted to try. Don’t let the three stars discourage you!
