Oh! Chocolate

I walked in here the other day for a box of chocolate for my husband. What an absolutely adorable, cozy little spot! The chocolate was delicious, too! Great quality. I was so glad it didn’t have that cheap, waxy texture to it like most chocolates I’ve had.
I will definitely be back for more. :-D

Nice, quaint little chocolate shop on Mercer Island. Not too familiar with the history of the company but definitely can sense the family owned and operated vibe. Lady was really nice and went over options with us to pick out gifts.
All boxes comes with a nice ribbon for gifting.
Pricing is moderate to fair for specialized chocolates.
After spending $ 130 on chocolates was finally offered a sample. I took one but my fiancé declined at the time. While checking out, he decided he wanted a cheap Oreo and we were charged for it.
Just my opinion but you’d think after spending that much, they would consider that the over sample. It also seemed stale and tasted like a knock of Oreo under the chocolate. Could be wrong though.
Other than that, great experience!

I’ve been to Oh! Chocolate several times now and I continue to enjoy their chocolates and service. I’ve tried a variety of their truffles and the Ben Hur is my favorite so far, but I can’t think of one I didn’t like. Pricewise its fair and in line with other smaller/​local chocolate stores — and cheaper than the last time I went to Godiva! I recommend any one stopping by to give it a try.

It’s always a beautiful thing when you meet people who truly love what they do and the kind folks who run Oh! Chocolate on Mercer Island are living proof of this. As soon as you walk through the doors, you are greeted with such warmth that immediately puts you in a great mood. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about chocolate and rather than try to sell you anything, I appreciated how they took the time to ask me what my preferences were, if I had any allergies and which flavors I enjoyed the best. The chocolate is some of the best I’ve ever had– dark chocolate, milk chocolate, caramel, bourban, rum. I loved that they even had some more unique flavors like key lime pie (SO good, btw). The packaging is also super cute and elegant, so it makes for an amazing gift to give someone. I hear they do chocolate classes every once in a while so I will definitely be back to take one some day soon!

Luxurious, hand-​made chocolates served with a smile. This store is a rare gem, blending tradition and quality into a carefully crafted chocolate that you will be remembering for days. You’ll never eat cheap, tasteless, mass produced grocery store chocolates ever again! Great for gifts! Moms and girlfriends love it!

The owner of the shop is a sweet lady~ The couple that are there are so friendly. The gentleman’s descriptions of the different types of chocolate make you drool a little… he definitely has excellent taste and his recommendations were on point! Everything I have tasted is delicious! My favorites are Bourbon, Rum, and the Cabernet. Beautiful people who make beautiful desserts!

First off I’m not a big fan of sweets but I do go here at least once or twice a year for gifts for my grandma. She is a tough old lady but loves when a box of chocolates from Oh! Chocolate arrives in the mail. I’ve always had the friendliest encounters and this is the only location I’ve been to. I drive out of my way to get here and it’s always worth it. I noticed some reviews complain about the price. It seems reasonable to me and by no stretch of the imagination am I wealthy. I’d rather pay more and get something nice instead of a mass produced product. They put a lot of care into there merchandise and it shows. As long as this place keeps making my granny smile I’ll be a customer for sure!

I had the mint truffle and chocolate covered oreo. That’s my fave for now. I can’t get enough of this place. So glad I found the store!

Had to pick up a very last minute birthday gift for my boyfriend. I had passed by Oh! Chocolate many times and never been in, so it popped into my head when I was thinking of gift ideas.
I walked in and was immediately greeted by a lady behind the counter. She helped me select an assortment of chocolates based on what I told her about my boyfriends palate preferences. Then she put a beautiful bow on the box, and told me about their chocolate making class. She had a very warm and inviting presence.
When I gave my boyfriend this gift, I popped in while he was at work. He didn’t seem very impressed, the look on his face was like, «oh, thanks, a box of chocolates that I’ll never get around to finishing.» I said goodbye and went back to work.
When he got home, he could not stop raving about how amazing these chocolates were. THANK GOD. I realized then that the only thing standing between me having given him a mediocre gift an an amazing gift was the taste. If they had ended up tasting so-​so, his first reaction to my gift wouldn’t have changed. Luckily, he loved them, and still talks about them to this day.

This review is for the online ordering shop, not the Oh! Chocolate stores. This has been my go-​to local chocolate shop for gifts and holidays, and I have spent lots of money here. I moved out of town, otherwise I would pick up my order in person, and recently placed an online order for a friend’s birthday. I left a message with the hoped-​for delivery date (the birthday) and then sent an email message to the online ordering contact to make sure the order was received. Then I heard nothing and got no response. On the intended delivery date, I was a little concerned that I had not gotten any type of shipment confirmation, so I again emailed them. A day passes, then I get a reply email saying that the order had not been received due to a glitch in their system, and it will be shipped out today. I emailed asking if it would be overnighted due to the error, and I get a reply saying it will be delivered in two days. Despite there being a glitch in the system, Oh! Chocolate had gotten an email to follow up on the order and still did not respond for four days. And they are not willing to overnight due to their error. My friend’s «birthday surprise» is already late. Now I look like a procrastinating friend. Thanks but no thanks, Oh! Chocolate. Bad customer service. I will think twice before giving you my business again.

I am a chocoholic and definitely had to try this place, which is located right down the street from me. The truffles tasted nothing special and were terribly overpriced. I got three truffles and paid over $ 6. That’s more than $ 2 per small truffle. Not worth it.

I recently purchased a Groupon for a box of their salted caramels. The lady there was very nice and I had no problems redeeming the Groupon. She even asked me if I wanted milk, dark, or half and half, which is nice. She also tied a nice ribbon around the beautiful box.
The chocolate shop is very tiny, could probably fit like 4 people at most. Their chocolates look amazing. I tried their latte truffle and it was delicious. Had a hint of espresso in it.
I hope to try more of their chocolates in the future.

My family and I have always loved Oh Chocolate, and usually their customer service is wonderful. But on two recent trips to the Mercer Island location we had terrible customer service from a young girl with dark hair that works there. She was extremely rude and condescending, trying to get us out and fill our order as quickly as possible. With that kind of attitude, you shouldn’t be working in a position that is made on customer service, and I’m usually sympathetic as I work in food service myself, but this was unacceptable. Definitely won’t be coming back to the Mercer Island branch anytime soon.

We came in at 5:40 on valentines Day with a groupon for caramels. After being told they were sold out, the woman offered us a different box of caramels which saved the day. I’m not sure what type is in the box but they are delicious.
As I told her when we left, you have a customer for life.

As a chocoholic I am very qualified to rate this store with 5 stars! Yum, yum, and more yum! This is a great little store and has been around for a long time. My favorite is the dark choc. habanero truffles! –To die for!

4.5 for the tiramisu truffle, 4 overall.
Tiramisu truffle. Yes, they have this concoction of dark chocolate, coffee and a carmel-​y like butter cream. Did I mention that Tiramisu is just about my favorite dessert (on par with Sweet Potato pie). Oh, sigh, I would like to eat one very day, or at least just hold it close, sniff, lick, and all that savoring activity. You get the point. Well done chocolates in a pretty fair variety. Smallish place, but not an issue for a box on the go. And no, I am not sharing.

I personally don’t like chocolate on its own, though I like it in brownies, cookies, or cake.
Mother’s day was coming close, and my father and I wanted to get my own mother something special. Besides flowers, we wanted to get something else. I had heard good things about this chocolate shop, and it was new to the island.
We decided on picking our own chocolate truffles for my mother. They have a variety of nuts and chews and French creams. Oh! Chocolate also carries a bunch of other goodies including: chocolate drenched grahams, toffee pretzels, chocolate dipped macadamia nuts, old fashioned malt balls, chocolate covered oreos, chocolate espresso beans, toffee almonds, silver chocolate stars, and crispy ginger snaps.
After picking out our selection of truffles, we were set to go! They packaged the chocolate truffles into a nice box with a big, colorful bow.
On the day of actual dedication to mothers, we were excited to try out the truffles. I remember trying the mint truffle with dark chocolate. I don’t really like dark chocolate, but when paired with mint, it is divine. The truffle is creamy on the inside, with a mint infused cream. The chocolate shell is a little bitter, but a good amount of sweetness to pair with the mint.
I’ve definitely eaten better chocolates from the grocery store if THAT tells you anything. I think I’d rather eat a candy bar.

Great chocolate shop. The chocolates are much larger than at other chocolate places and only $ 1.50 each when getting them in a box. The people who work there are very nice and offer you samples even before they know if you’re going to get something. During my time there, I had 2 ½ pieces of chocolate and bought a 24 piece sampler box. My husband and I are still working through the box but our favorites are the almond buttercream, chocolate nougat, tiger peanut butter, and honey ginger caramel. I’ll be back and buying more for gifts :)

Best chocolatier in the area. I like that everytime I go in I get a free sample, plus they are always asking for recommendations for types of chocolates we would like to see as well. The combinations are very interesting. The secret is to buy by weght rather than buy in the boxes. If you need some chocolate to impress someone, you cannot go wrong with Oh! Chocolate.

These are by far the best truffles in Seattle. All of the people who work there are very nice and helpful. They even give you a free sample every time you visit. I would go here everyday if I could!
