Studio 904

I’ve been to Studio 904 3 times and each time they make the grade — professional, on time, knowledgeable, convenient in a great location with parking! Their facility is clean and they always have a great selection of product on hand. I have long hair, and a lot of it, and my process takes a while. I like that they team up for the application process of color and highlights! It helps expedite my visit but I never feel rushed. Maria (and her associates) has done a great job at matching my color while adding her own style. My hair always feels so healthy and looks awesome! Thanks Studio 904!

Not only do they do a great job with my cut and color, I love that the owner is so focused on giving back to the community — they always have something fun going on that supports animals and/​or kids. It’s also nice that they offer daily specials and different discounts each month. I really appreciate this locally-​owned small business!

I have been going to Studio 904 for at least 8 years now and have always had the best service ever… Their customer service is outstanding!.. My hair has always been extremely stubborn with the highlights and it takes a long time to get the perfect color, but Studio 904 always does it perfect… and if anything is not the way you like it… they go above and beyond to help you achieve the color and style that YOU want… The team has been consistently friendly and helpful with suggestions for your type of hair and what will work best for you!.. Crystal at the main desk has always been helpful and efficient getting you an appointment that will work best with your schedule… All of the stylists help each other on different clients to ensure eveyone is taken care of!.. My appointment today has totally made me grateful for their expertise and consideration for how I wanted my hair to look. If you want to treat yourself and get a great color and hair cut I can only recomment you try them out…
I have to say… I have been to one other hair salon that was closer to my work and I did not get the service and color that I wanted. I will not stray again!

I have had my hair cut here quite a few times. They do a pretty good job and are very friendly. I think it is too expensive, however.

I used to go to Studio 904 fairly regularly to get my highlights done and I think I had my hair cut there once. The hair cut was nothing exceptional but my highlights were great. After hemming and hawing about getting a perm, I finally decided to return there after not going for 7 years. What sealed the deal was they had a Daily Special for 15% off at select times and it happened to work in my time frame.
The day I went to get my hair permed, the stylist Jackie was attentive and listened to what I wanted and gave her opinion. And two hours later, my hair looked great! I was thrilled I had trusted her and that it turned out so well.
With a perm they tell you not to wash your hair the first couple days, which I knew. So after not washing it for two days after, my hair was absolutely deflated. I had multiple people ask me why I was having a bad frizzy hair day, and when I explained it was recently permed, they asked how recent. I called Studio 904 to ask what to do and they said it was happening because my hair was long and I should get a hair cut to not weigh the perm down. And that I needed to wash my hair and put product in it every day. I got a perm because I wanted to keep my hair long and to make it pretty, not so I could cut it and risk «poodle hair».
After washing my hair and using the same Aveda products they used, my hair is wavy at best but nowhere near what was done the first day, especially at my roots. I am normally thrilled to tell people where I got my hair done and if asked, I will still tell them, but as a precautionary tale and not as a recommendation.

Jackie is an amazing stylist. She listened to what I wanted and delivered (and trust me, my hair is hard to work with)! I shouldn’t post this as I am sure her clients will increase but had to give her props on the cut and color she gave me!

After having a really terrible experience at a hair salon near my work last month, I decided to try a salon near my home… and I honestly can’t believe I haven’t gone here before! Emily was amazing. She tactfully tackled my concerns about the old haircut (it was supposed to be layers but instead was two layers one about my shoulders one at my chin… just bad). She even made some suggestions as to what I could do with my hair currently and if I wanted to mix it up. For such a young stylist, she really knows what she’s doing!

The stylist I go to is Mai… I haven’t gone to anyone but her so I can’t really speak for the other stylists but I trust Mai with my hair. :) She listens to what I’m looking for and then does her thing. To add, I’ve only gone for haircuts as I’ve been trying to give my hair a break from color for now.
Studio 904 itself is alright, they’re pretty good about reminding you of an upcoming appointment and a follow-​up call regarding customer satisfaction.

I have only been here once for a haircut, but several of my friends go to studio 904 regularly and it’s a community favorite. While their cuts are not inordinately expensive, it’s still a little much for a teenager to be throwing down on a haircut. However, they did a good job, so I don’t think it is a waste of money. They seem to be professional and know what they’re doing, but what really made me like this place was that you can go back in up to two weeks after your original appointment and get your haircut fixed if you go back home and realize there’s something you’re not satisfied with.

This is NOT an Aveda salon! They sell Aveda products but NONE of the staff is Aveda trained. It took 3 visits to come close to getting the color right. Two haircuts were acceptable but short on style. Three was not an option. While the staff is friendly and follow up calls after each appointment is good customer service I left after 18 months when I found a better place. See my review for Salon Nuveau.

Initially I was attracted to the «no tipping» policy but this is really the tip of the iceburg for how great Studio 904 is. This is a minority/​woman owned salon that gives stylists in-​house training, socially responsible policies and is high involvement in the local community. Stylists are friendly and services are offered at different experience levels with corresponding price points. Usually there is no problem getting an appointment when you need one. However, I have decided to move on to a new salon because my haircut had started to get stale.

I’ve been going to this salon since 1996 when I first heard about them in a Glamour magazine article. They were fantastic! I went there religiously for cuts, colors, foils, updos, etc, etc. However, over the years, they’ve waned in customer service and quality. They’ve lost a wonderful receptionist that greeted everyone with a wonderful smile. They lost several of their top hairstylist. The cuts and colors that I use to get where top notch! Wonderful quality at a wonderful price. Now, the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. When I leave the salon, I feel like the cut was average and nothing to get excited over. I was sorry to no longer go to Studio 904, but the location is not convenient for the prices and service that I get there.

I always come here for waxes and facials. The services are very reasonably priced and I love the Aveda products. Sometimes they can be a bit pushy about making another appointment or buying products, which is the only reason I vote 4 stars and not 5. Overall the customer service and the services themselves are great! The facial here is SO incredibly relaxing. The location isn’t the best, but overcome by high quality service. Give it a try!

This place is in a strip mall sort of hidden away. They use all Aveda products and have a no tipping policy. They also have different levels of stylists who charge according to their experience and training.
I love the gal who does my color. Anyone who can highlight Asian hair without making it look brassy or trashy is awesome in my books. I’m still working on finding the perfect gal to cut my hair. Although the last gal told me that I have pretty and shiny hair :) Yay, validation!

Nice product selection, but again I cannot stress the value of lower prices in a competitive city market — you CAN get away with charging a lot in the city and survive, but to flourish as a business you really need to have a lower general price and a higher profile. not the best location either.

I just received spa services here. As with the Seattle store, they have superb service and the staff members are all professional and friendly. They carry Aveda products. Spa services are not necessarily cheap, but they often have specials and discounts. With no tipping policy, I would definitely go back again.
