I’m disgusted in the haircut they gave me tonight. Like they didn’t even care how bad it looked like they don’t care about their reputation at all

for someone who gets their hair blown out on the regular, this was literally the WORST place I’ve ever been to!!! also false advertising because it was the MOST I’ve ever paid for a wash and blow out($ 50 as opposed to the usual 30 – 40 I pay at every other salon in Meriden) — a horrible blow out at that. the hair dresser was super nice but had NO idea how to work with my hair and I ended up w a frizzy semi-fro that I had to go home and touch up myself. horrible horrible horrible. will never go back. this place shouldn’t even exist.

Been coming here for 4 years now. Staff is friendly and courteous. The hours are convenient. The location is also very convenient. Wait time is short and they are fast to take you. Deborah has been my stylist the past 3 times this year. She by far is my favorite.

Save yourself lots of trouble and heartache and don’t ever set foot in this place! Horrible cut! I told the«stylist» exactly what I wanted, and, moreso, what I did not want I wore(before this horrible butchery) a chin length Bob. longer in front. I told the cutter that I wanted my hair to by UNDERCUT, NOTSTACKED. I hate stacked hair and I have a surgical scar on my neck and want it covered much as possible. Stacked back leaves the scarring exposed. I repeated that I DONOTWANTMYHAIRSTACKED, While she was cutting, I observed her lifting the back sections, the way stacked hair is cut. When I first observed her doing this, I told her, once again, «S., I do not want my hair stacked!» She replied, word– for– word, «Don’t worry. I’m not stacking your hair. I’m doing your undercut.» She bold– faced lied. My bob hair style is, in addition to being three inches shorter in the back than I had told her, is STACKED, When I saw it, I was upset and said that I told her that I wanted my hair undercut, not stacked. She looked me in the face and, again, lied, saying, «No, it’s not stacked» It is, and way too short, and uneven. When I got home, I noticed, in addition to having stacked hair, that it was technically wrong, so I went back and told her/Stephanie, that she needs to even it out. She didn’t even wet my head to check the cut, but snipped one of the uneven hanging pieces off. It was still awful, so, a few days later, I went to the shift supervisor, Helen, and she, also, didn’t wet my head to check the cut. She also snipped one other uneven strand off. While there, I asked one«stylist» if my haircut looks stacked to her. She, honest– to– God, said, «I don’t know». At least Helen, the shift manager was honest enough to say, «Yes, it’s stacked. Isn’t that what you wanted?» Not that getting my money back would make this much better, but no one offered me A refund. Save yourself lots of trouble/heartache, and find a real salon. A week later, and it looks horrible. A bad cut is bad enough, but being LIEDTOISUNACCEPTABLE and unprofessional. Sent from my iPad

I’d give zero stars if I could. I wanted a basic cut. I walked out with uneven hair three inches shorter than I wanted. Avoid. Also– the woman cutting my hair was shouting to speak to her coworkers the whole time, right in my ear. When she asked if I liked it, I said it was uneven and not what I wanted. She was not phased by that in the least. Not to mention some coworkers were swearing, and there were young children in there. Not very professional. I understand it is a cheap place, but maintaining my shape and taking off two inches(not FIVE) should have been well within their capability.

What can I say about Cost Cutters? I can’t say its great but I can’t say it sucks either. I’ve been there several times when I needed a hair cut in a pinch and all I can say is you are rolling the dice with your head or is it some heads are gonna roll? I’ve had some really good hair cuts here. I’ve also had some where it looked like I cut my own head after 6 beers and two shots. ok maybe 3 shots. If you find someone there that cuts your hair well get their name and when they work otherwise you may come out looking like Nick Nolte’s DUI mugshot. There are some good stylists but the problem is i have not always gotten one. Next time I find a good one i’ll take my own advice and go when they are there.

I’ve been going to this Cost Cutters on and off again for years now. You can’t beat $ 16 haircuts everyday and $ 12 haircuts every Tuesday. While some aren’t the best, the hairdressers are experienced and professional for the most part, and they give you the haircut you ask for. If you don’t like it, your hair will grow back again, and you can’t feel too bad because you didn’t pay too much for it. About a year and a half ago, on a hot summer day, I decided to cut all my hair off on a whim, and I headed to Cost Cutters to do it. To my surprise and delight, it was a $ 12 Tuesday, and the hairdresser I got knew exactly what to do with my hair. It was probably the best haircut of my life, and I got out of there for less than $ 20 including tip.(Spoiler alert: That hairdresser was Cecily, and she no longer works there, but she was fantastic and I don’t know if I’ll ever find a hairdresser as good as her ever again.) For the last year or so, I was going to this Cost Cutters regularly because I finally found a hairdresser I loved and kept wanting to go back to. I recently found out that she is no longer working at this Cost Cutters, and I realized it was time to write a review. While she will be missed, and I will be on the search for a new steady hairdresser, I will always think of Cost Cutters as a good place to get a haircut.
