Really good price for the food, fresh ingredients, pure authentic Mexican food. My personal favorite: Tacos al Pastor and chicken tamales. I recommend you to try it out.

Not taco Tuesday but taco Thursday! Drove to Tacos Mi Nacho after seeing good reviews. I ordered a chicken tamale, and 4 tacos(bouche, carnitas, cochinitas and the al pastor). It’s a small place, with about 5 booths and 3 counter seats. Service was quick and friendly. When I sat down to wait for my food, I got a basket of chips and 2 different types of salsa. I liked the green salsa(close to a guacamole in texture but not quite), and the regular salsa roja was good too, albeit a little spicy at times. My tamale came out first with a small tub of sour cream, This was my first time having tamales so I was excited to dig in… verdict: It was pretty darn yummy! The meat inside was tender and moist and the masa was flavorful too. I put some salsa and sour cream on it just for kicks and giggles but I think the flavor of the tamale itself can definitely stand alone. Next came the tacos. All the fixings were on it — cilantro, onions, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. The buche –pork stomach, was alright, not very strong on flavor but it was tasty nonetheless.(I’m used to having pork stomach in a dish that I eat in Singapore called Kway Chap, but this was my first time having it in a taco so it was interesting). I think my favorite and the tastiest was the cochinita and the al pastor. I wish they had cut down their tomatoes into bite sized chunks instead of serving it as a slice but that’s just me being picky. A solid spot for Mexican cuisine. Onward and upward — stay tuned for more as I head off to the next taqueria in Connecticut.

Excellent authentic tacos! The best in Meriden! The marinated pork tacos are perfect with just some cilantro and onion. You must go get food here!

This is a great little find. We went for lunch yesterday and the food was amazing. Friendly staff and great food. Growing up with my Latino side of my family I felt like I was at an aunts house. Food came fast and fresh. My wife had the ceviche tosada and I had a quesadilla la lengua de res(beef tongue). The rice and beans were fantastic and when I got up to pay I was shocked that the bill was just a hair over $ 13! We will definitely go back again!

Fantastic Mexican food. It is a small place(looks to have been a convenience store in a past life), but it was packed with people waiting to order their delicious food. There are only a few small tables in the place, and it took a while for them to clear the table and take our order because there was a huge line at the counter. Everyone in the back seemed to be cooking and prepping furiously. It was definitely worth the wait though. First they bring out a basket of warm chips with best pico de gallo I have ever tasted. You also get some guacamole too. Delicious! Two of us ordered a chicken tamale, a carne azada taco, and a carne azada quesadilla. I had wanted to try the quesadilla with the carnitas(pork), but they had already run out of it. The food came out super fast and it was delicious. I honestly don’t think I knew what a tamale was until I had one here. I have ordered tamales at other places and it usually is a little bit of meat surrounded by a bunch of corn mush wrapped in a husk. The tamales here were amazing!!! So much chicken in the middle and the corn wrapped around had a completely different texture. It was a little bit crispy on the outside, not at all mushy and tasteless. It still came wrapped in the husk, but it was better than any other tamale I have ever had. That alone is a good reason to stop there. The taco and quesadilla were great too, but if there is one thing you must have and experience… it’s a tamale! Cannot wait to stop here again.

The only thing wrong with this place is the parking. Everything is fresh, authentic, and delicious. I just like to order a variety of tacos. The burritos are tasty, but not huge. People are nice, and the price is good.

This place has good authentic Mexican food at really good prices! Come early for lunch, the booths fill up fast! As a side note I left my purse here by accident and they were so kind and found my number and returned it to me… they wouldn’t take any cash in return for the good deed. Support your local mom & pop places, the people here are very nice!

Decent food at an even better cost! I think the tacos are a little on the small side. The quesadillas are awesome along with the sopes! The ingredients are all fresh and flavorful. This will definitely continue to be our midweek dinner!

Absolutely delicious !! Authentic Mexican food … The food is fresh and very flavorful. I ordered the nachos. They were very good. Next time I won’t order them because they give you a large basket of chips with two kinds of great sauces. Very nice for lunch

As authentic a mexican place can get, out here in the north east. Brilliant tacos, guacamole, quesadillas, burritos! Lengua tacos are sweet, but my favorite are the barbacoa tacos. Too good! I also tried the tripe soup once. Gotta hand it to the staff there. My first visit, I had no idea what was going on, so I ordered 1 of a handful of items! And they had it perfectly down. I wouldn’t have blamed them if they messed up one, but they did wonderful!

I thought I had great Mexican in CT before, I confess I was so delusional because Tacos Mi Nacho is the real deal! Think full of flavor and low on sodium. Many Mexican establishments think they can throw some over salted meats and spices together and call it Mexican food. Tacos Mi Nacho has the perfect balance. The food was amazing and the price was acceptable for what I got. I’m so particular about the lettuce I get and I approve. All in all this is place is worth a drive. The Mexican joints in Hartford don’t compare. You know you find a great place to eat when you have the uncontrollable urge to tell everyone about the place — even if they don’t like Mexican food.

Five stars for great food at extremely reasonable prices. My husband and I eat very good for under $ 20. Our favorite is the Carne Asada burrito. It comes with some nice sauces. Other meats are also very good and so are the tacos. Cerviche is good. We tried the beef tripe soup and it’s very tasty if you’re not afraid of it. This place is crowded all the time so we sometimes get it takeout. The dining area is very small and not much to look at. Great for a quick, cheap and easy meal.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, look no further than Tacos Mi Nacho, in Meriden. Walking through the door, we were welcomed with smiles and told to seat ourselves. One of the servers brought us menus along with a basket of chips and bowls of salsa. We eagerly dug into the chip basket, as soon as it was placed on the table. There were two red salsas and a very smooth guacamole. All of them were very good. One of the salsas was a little too hot for me, but my husband and father enjoyed it. I ordered three tacos for myself; Al Pastor, Barbacoa and Carne Azada. I also ordered a cheese quesadilla and rice for my son. My husband ordered the Al Pastor burrito, my dad ordered the chicken nachos and my mom ordered the veggie tacos. All of the meals were delivered quickly. All of the ingredients were very fresh and delicious. The Al Pastor is out of this world good! My husband was only half joking, when he asked if we could come back for dinner. I’m guessing that I’ll be visiting again, very soon!

Decided to give this place a try again after a few years passed since my last visit. The al pastor taco was my favorite part of the meal. It had great flavor and I wish I had ordered more of that instead of the barbacoa taco and the carnitas burrito that I ended up getting. The complimentary chips and salsa were excellent. Both were fresh and tasty. I’ll probably stick to my favorite taqueria in Wallingford for future Mexican food fixes unless I need more of that al pastor in which case this would be my destination.

The food was 5 star; the location was only 3. The menu isn’t lengthy, but it’s very, very good. I had tostada ceviche and quesadillas rancheros(with chorizo) — both very good. My companion’s burrito(beef) was generously sized and very tasty. We were both full at that point, so we didn’t sample the desserts. The service was prompt and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. The only downside was the dining area — entrance is through a motion activated sliding door, which opened(and allowed a blast of cold air) every time someone passed on the sidewalk outside.

Let it be known that I’d have given them four stars had they not screwed up our order. Apparently, they cannot follow directions and lack any attention to detail. Alas, because the food actually was very good. We ordered a chicken burrito with NOBEANS, some Al Pastor tacos, and a chicken tamale. They gave us beef taco’s instead of pork and put beans on the burrito. At least the tamale was correct, although we had to get chicken since they were out of pork(no problem, just was feelin’ some swine that night). We had to drive back there to have them correct the mistake on the burrito(I just said screw it and ate the tacos). In their defense, they were quite apologetic, made another burrito and comped us a free piece of flan(yummy, delicious flan). So yeah, the food was very good, IF you get what you order. However, their sauces weren’t spectacular. I will probably go back again, but only if I want to stay local since they are only a short drive up the street for me. Also, that parking lot can be a nightmare.

For delicious Mexican food the prices are great. Avoid Taco Bell if you want to sit and eat. They should open up a bigger restaurant for being such a God bless you a small mouth watering yummy restaurant.
