We just moved to the Island so we wanted to try a mom and pop place for dinner. We picked up a white pizza, cheese pizza and garlic knots. Sooo yummie! The crust is crispy, the sauce was perfect. Even my very picky 6 and 8 yr olds claimed it was delicious and the best pizza ever. This is good since they eat alot of pizza lol. We will definitely be back.

Small local restaurant in a strip mall. The dining room is small. They do deliver and to-go orders. They make all of their bread fresh in store. The subs and pizzas we got here were delicious. The owner was the cook both times we went. Soft drinks are by the bottle and they had some beer and wine offerings. Everyone in our family enjoyed the food from Basil’s Pizzeria.

Tried the pizza deal and it’s not good, bad choice for lunch. Maybe other food items are better, but won’t recommend the pizza slices.

Wonderful calzones! They are the best I’ve ever had. My husband and I order from here on a weekly basis.

This is a mom-and-pop pizza and pasta carryout with eight small tables in the front in case you want to eat-in. The owner has 30+ years running Basil Pizza, first in Miami then in Melbourne. He has been a long time Merritt Island resident and moved the shop here instead of commuting to Melbourne every day. Everything is homemade. The sauce is tasty. Meatballs are great The garlic knots are excellent. He has great lunchtime specials for $ 5 or less. It has personality that you won’t find at the Italian chains across the way. For a small carryout restaurant, the menu is surprisingly varied. Wings, Gyros, Baked Ziti, Stuffed Shells, Ravioli, homemade Cannoli. The bread is homemade every day. They have beer, pizza by the slice, catering. One negative — no coffee. My 91 year old father has coffee at every meal, but I was able to easily convince him to go with a Bud Light instead. The owner even sold my dad a lunch portion of pasta even though we were there at dinner. 2 pastas, garlic knots, 1 salad, 2 beers, all for less than $ 20. We’ll be back. It is admittedly tough to find this place, tucked away in a strip mall with Tuesday Morning and the Barking Gecko. If you are looking for pasta, but don’t want the high price of the high-end Italian places on the island, Basil Pizza and Paste is the place.
