I’m always so impressed by the performances put on at MCC’s Theater Outback. I have seen The Wizard of Oz and Into The Woods. Each show was a different year and both times I was blown away by the talented students and the high quality of the productions. Since it is a community college the ticket are ridiculously reasonable and worth every penny paid. The chair are comfy and there really isn’t a single bad seat in the house. My only bump is the bathrooms are too small to handle the lines at intermissions but being a former student I know of a nearby restroom that is usually open during matinée shows.

Outstanding performances are the hallmark of this tiny college theater. These performances easily rival major shows at other ‘professional’ venues, such as the Scottsdale Center for the arts, but at a fraction of the price. If you’re looking for an awesome date night and you’re sick of the ‘dinner and a movie’ scene, you need to check this out. Call ahead to make sure they’re having a theater performance on a given date. They usually have performances on Thurs, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Some performances are not family friendly(they occassionally cover adult-only themes).
