Mike’s Bikes

I have used Mike for a number of repairs over the last four+ years and have had very good, honest service. He is a good wrench and his prices are very reasonable. If he does not have a part in stock he will order it for a good price or give you recommendations in the East Valley if you need it today.

I used to live was nearby, so it was the most convenient choice when I needed a new tire. I walked in and there was a woman and 2 other employees behind the counter. All of them noticed me, yet not one of them gave me the common consideration of saying Hello or asking whether or not I needed any help as I walked my bike in. A couple with European accents walked in to look at bikes and the woman behind the counter immediately bolted towards them with a warm greeting and a smile. Unbelievable! After the couple were scared off by the exorbitant prices of bikes for sale as well as for rent, the employee asked if i needed any help. I could have left right then, but i had a flat and I’m not going to let my pride get in between me and the open road!!! To add insult to injury, i experienced another flat on the same tire that i took to Mikes and took it to a little shop in Guadalupe (the Garage bike shop). That’s where i found out that Mikes bikes didn’t even put a new tube in yet certainly charged me for it. Those guys had the audacity to put a patch over the hole. WOW! I not only feel cheated out of my money but as if i was betrayed for relying on getting what i paid for. I could have worn glasses or walked in wearing nicer clothes, but i can’t do anything about my skin tone and don’t appreci8 being treated any different than anyone else. Please $ave your money and time by going to where you are appreciated as a customer as well as a person.

Only because I can’t give zero stars. Went in for a chain or parts of a chain with a master link to make mine work for a sod cutter. The burnout behind the counter had no idea what state he was in more less able to help. Mike came back after «acting» nice to an older guy who he thought was buying a bike. Took one look at my chain (without having any idea what I was wanting), and barked that he didn’t sell moped chains, I needed to go somewhere else! So he didn’t know all he thought he did and he’s an asshole. As far as bikes go, the inventory is pathetic and no parts and obvious bad service. Go somewhere else.

So helpful in renting us perfect bikes for exploring Mesa. Reasonable as well! We were able to catch canal ride for a scenic ride and enjoyed neighborhood around the store. We definitely recommend These folks!
