Studio 480 the Salon

I called in desperate need, after having had a bad haircut, made my appointment with Renee.
She is AWESOME! Sweet, patient and very experienced with hair cuts. She turned my frown upside down. After 3 attempts, finally, somebody knows how to trim hair! My hair looks and feels soooo much better!
I won’t need a cut for awhile, but when I do, I will go back to Renee.

Called 04/​01/​2016 for an appointment with Marjan and was told she no longer worked there; I accepted an appointment for 10:00 am for the next day with Casey. I arrived for the appointment and there was no appointment made. Very unprofessional and would definitely not go back!!!

This place was a great find! So glad I took a chance on them. The salon is beautiful and not at all what I expected at that location. Kacey took care of both my girls. My daughter wanted roughly 12 inches cut off her length. Kacey did not try to talk her out of it or suggest longer styles. She did exactly what was asked and it came out perfect!

Casey C is so fantastic. She listened to my requests, gave me the perfect cut, recommended the perfect product, and is super sweet! The salon is clean, chic and cozy and in a great location. This is now my salon of choice. Thank you!

I just moved to Mesa from California and was in need of a hair cut. I wear my hair short and it is thick and course — takes a special kind of person to know how to cut it right. Well on my first try out of the gate I found that person in at Studio 480 and Renee. The salon is clean, everyone is courteous and Renee was right on time. She cut my hair in 30 minutes and I couldn’t be happier ! The cut is PERFECT !! I would recommend Studio 480 and Renee for your hair cut needs.

This salon was great! I got a cut and color from Nikki today and love it. I showed her pictures of what I was looking for and she was very helpful and listened to all that I wanted. She offered great suggestions. Nikki was very friendly. I am very picky about my hair so this was such a pleasant experience. The salon was clean and very chic. I also love that they do waxing and nail services as well as hair. I am definitely coming back.

Had a great experience at Studio 480 today. I was a new customer, and set up my appointment with Renee. Everyone was friendly and warm the moment I stepped through the door. The atmosphere is classy and inviting.
I wanted to get my hair cut short, according to a picture, from hair that fell to the middle of my back. When I confirmed that I planned to donate my excess length, Renee took the time to prepare and bag the hair for me. As she was cutting my hair, she consulted the picture, and communicated with me about aspects I might have wanted to keep or change. My new look is exactly what I wanted. Will definitely be back.

AMAZING service! Yes I know it was only an eyebrow waxing, but. she was really sweet and easy to talk to. There was minimal pain and they looked great. Nice price oh and it looked clean and very chic! I will be coming here again and checking out other services. Melanie answered the phone and was sweet I am sorry I didn’t get the name of the girl that styled my brows.

Excellent service in cool and beautifully relaxing surroundings. Renee has an especially kind team that works well for clients of all ages. Took my mother there so she could feel her best at her grandson’s wedding and she was not disappointed. They also do great highlights and balayage… we will be regular clients, for certain!

The salon is fine but it was empty and not much going on. The stylist didn’t talk much and didn’t really ask for input on my color which surprised me since I was new. The cut was blunt and my bangs looked like a little girl for 2 weeks! I won’t be going back.

I was scared about cutting my very long hair; I have had bad hair cuts in the past. I cut off 6 inches by myself, walked around with it for a few weeks and realized I wanted, needed it short. Irene was awesome. I had her cut at least 7 inches off, so now I have barely shoulder length hair – she shaped it perfectly. No regrets and I will be coming back to her for trims.

I recently just moved from San Diego to Mesa and had to do the dreaded task of finding a good hair stylist. After doing some research, I found that Melanie from Studio 480 had some great reviews so I gave her a shot. I scheduled a highlight and cut and am very happy I did because Melanie did a fabulous job! She took her time and made sure I was happy with everything before I left. My highlights and cut turned out great and I have since been back. She is very sweet and easy to talk to. I was also very happy with the comfortable and stylish atmosphere of the salon.

Called on Saturday morning and was fortunate to get a same day appointment. She was ready as soon as I arrived; I hate it when stylists keep me waiting. Ashley my stylist was knowledgable and friendly. I gave her a picture and she did a great job of doing exactly what I wanted. She didn’t try to sell me product, one of my salon pet peeves… a great experience! I scheduled my next visit before I left.

Found Studio 480 on Unilocal and decided to try it out. It’s very hard for me to find someone who understands what I’m looking for in a cut and highlights but today I found that person. Melanie was awesome. She has compassion for people and a love for what she does that made my experience all the better. She picked out gorgeous colors for my highlights and lowlights and I absolutely love the cut! Thank you, Melanie! I will be back :)

Typically I don’t get independent salon haircuts because: 1.) I’m a dude and my hair is not that complicated and 2.) Expense.
Enter Studio 480 and my new stylist Ashley. The interior is a «Rustic Modern meets highlights of elegance and functionality,» appeal. I had an appointment so I didn’t wait however the waiting area seemed comfortable. Ashley was hospitable and quite capable of taking my wish-​washy thoughts about what to do with my rats-​nest full of hair and turn it into Adam Levine quality style.
For a male, it’s nice to have all the edges nice and clean, good fades (as my sides were requested — significantly shorter than the top), sideburns trimmed with the edges of beard cleaned up. Most important: she washed my hair AFTER the cut, so I could go back to work and not worry about being itchy and covered with tiny little hair particles.
The styling was great and she gave me some tips on how to reconstruct the styling (fat chance I’ll be able to do that…).
I honestly feel like I got a great haircut, at a reasonable rate and will be sure to come back again. I might even make this a once a month affair. Thanks so much!

So happy to come across this salon, Ashley is so good at hair cuts that I brought my daughter in for a color and it turned out Great! My other daughter had Ashley do a Brazilian blow out, because she was tired of straightening her natural curly hair everyday. She is so Happy! With the great job Ashley has done.

Came in for a hair cut today. I got a haircut with Julie. She is very nice and did a great job. She didn’t talk to me much. maybe because shes a bit older and there isnt much conversation to do lol. Not exactly what i wanted with my haircut but it wasn’t bad at all.
This is a cute little place and very nice and chic inside. Wish they had some music or something on though. Very very quite, i was falling asleep lol. It is kind of in a somewhat deserted lot, but not too deserted!
The girl at the front desk is very nice. She was kind of struggling maybe due to being new?
All in all, this is a good place to go and get a haircut. They also have a mini nail corner if you want to get your nails done. The owner Renee is very nice, i can see why most people call in and request her. Shes more talkative :)
Pricing is not bad at all.

Melanie did a great job on my hair. She asked great questions about my hair habits and what I need and want. It was a real consultation on what is best for me and my hair health!

Just scheduled my second appointment with Renee for a highlight and haircut. She did a great job the 1^st time so I’m heading in again. The Salon is very clean and décor is chic and everyone I’ve met is friendly and helpful. I’d recommend anyone looking for good value for the price to try Studio 480!

After a few years of not going to the same place twice, I am so glad to have found this salon! Renee gave me a great haircut and great advice on my hair and the salon prices are beyond reasonable.
