Sun Land Motel

Awesome spot for what it is. the lingering smell of curry in the office made me want to offer the owners $$ for room service. (Which they should consider:) I had perfect service with the staff and WiFi that worked! The room a lil dank but all in all the major stuff was nice. Nice shower, bed and toilet. all that matters. There was a mini fridge and microwave, bonus! There was a chair that I refused to sit in. looked like a horror movie prop! My boyfriend and I had a running joke and would talk to the chair as if someone was sitting there. so, we made the best of it! I was expecting this to be a horrible experience but I was proven very wrong! Sun Land is accommodating and friendly!

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much in the first place, but that doesn’t mean it automatically deserves more stars. Basically, it is a fleabag motel. My first impression is that hookers must frequent this place.
It was relatively clean with a working shower, but it doesn’t look like they’ve painted or deep cleaned in quite some time. It kind of reminds me of my first apartment. You know how you try to keep it clean but the housework ultimately gets away from you? That’s this place. The linens seemed pretty clean, but I didn’t exactly take a black light to the room. I don’t like surprises anyway, so it’s best to preserve that particular mystery.
Our room had a microwave and a mini fridge which was cool, but even with the fridge temperature set to the coldest setting, it still barely kept our perishables. The microwave worked okay, though.
Everything else worked fine as far as I know and we didn’t experience any major issues. The place is just super dated and therefore could really use a face lift. At least the owner was nice and we got a cheap room.
