Advenir At Mission Ranch

This place is so horrible that I’m writing a review before I even had the chance to ask about floor plans and prices, however, I blame it on the new management that this apartment is run by. I walked in to get info on plans and prices, but a lady walked in before me so the leasing consultant attended her first. So, I sat down to wait, and the consultant saw me sit down too. Then, this other lady walked in and was attended and greeted right away. I was like… What the hell?! Very unprofessional. I walked out of the leasing center and won’t ever consider coming back. One word of advice… Learn to greet every person that walks through your doors.

I would avoid. I had looked into these apartments a few months before my move and found that they were a decent price for the time frame I was looking for. Once I discovered the price online, I called Advenir at Mission Ranch to try and secure the price that was posted online… and it turned into an adventure filled with horrible customer service. The first time I called and spoke to Ashley, she told me the price I had found online was indeed not the price that I would receive, and that it would be $ 100 more a month. I went ahead and submitted my reservation for the price listed online and emailed the associate who showed me the apartments months prior to see if I could obtain the price online and what I would need to do in order to secure an apartment. The reservation is good for 48 hours after submission. I finally received an email hours before my reservation expired, and by the time I actually had an opportunity to submit the application, my reservation had expired. I called the leasing office and was basically told, «You’re out of luck.» The leasing office was extrememly rude to me when I asked to speak to the associate that had originally showed me the apartments, and I’m very glad I was unable to complete my submission. Judging by other reviews I have found, it looks like I dodged a bullet!

DO NOT MOVE HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I wouldn’t refer this to my worst enemy.
We moved in here two years ago, before the recent management change. Management WAS friendly, knew us by name, and had a lot of community events that were provided to residents. Cookouts, Easter egg hunts on Easter for the children, the pool was kept clean (no greasy films on top of the water, brown water, people having sex in the pool while children are swimming 10 feet away) etc… Maintenance was quick, correctly handled, and very responsive. Parking rules were enforced… It was clean and kept presentable and as safe as Mesquite could feel.
Then… Management changed to Advenir and it pretty much instantly became a dump in the most literal sense. All community activities stopped, burglaries increased, all of the polite and respectful residents left (ran for the hills) and the section 8 clowns moved in. Cars that were left unmoved /​broken down for prolonged periods filled up all the parking spaces and were never towed. Some for as long as 6 months now and counting. Maintenance is about as useful, knowledgeable, and responsive as a dead horse.
The management office is run by rude, incompetent, lazy morons who haven’t read the leasing agreement and are of absolutely no help. The mailboxes were vandalized /​destroyed a while back, and it took them over a week to send out a notice about what had happened, where our mail was, how to get it etc…
The fire alarms in the buildings malfunction quite regularly typically at night and once they go off there’s about an hour to two hours that you must wait before they shut them selves off.
The current residents who have moved in since the management change are thugs who slam weights down after 11:00pm every night on the third floor, yell going down the stairs at 2:00am in the morning, and intentionally disrupt everyone around them.
The grounds are completely covered in dog turds. I don’t mean some here and there, I mean every INCH of the grass and most of the sidewalks are layered with it. People stay in the stair wells and let their dogs run down off a leash to leave these land mines and then obviously don’t pick it up. Sometimes this is because the poop bag «stations» are empty… but generally it’s because the people are lazy, inconsiderate, and know there are no consequences for doing so any longer.
Moral of the story, this place should be bulldozed, and the management should be air dropped into the Atlantic Ocean.

Avoid this place like the plague if at all possible. Only reason they got 1 star was because I couldn’t give them zero or negative stars. I had numerous issues while I lived there with my plumbing & refrigerator that was NEVER fixed. After the maintenance man came out to attempt to fix one of the issues he forgot to turn back on the fridge, leaving it off all day — causing all of my food to go bad — as well as dragging all of his equipment to my kitchen ruining & dirtying my carpet from here to there. I reached out to the office staff afterwards several times with no luck, so then had to escalade it to the management company. They offered to credit me for the food lost to my rent once I could furnish receipts for all the food I bought that was in the fridge. Really? Who keeps receipts for food that they’ve purchased over time from the grocery store? Anyways — at this time my lease was also up for renewal. Due to all this going on I told them I would NOT be renewing & put in my nonrenewal letter to the office, paid my last month rents, turned in my keys & moved out thinking I was finally done with this place. Boy was I wrong.
3yrs later I find out that I apparently owe over $ 3k that I NEVER knew about — I’m assuming probably bc I chose not to renew my lease & everything that happened prior to my move out. they chose to make me regret that by putting everything they could think of x10 on my move out charges (& w/​o ever notifying me)! I have been fighting these charges all year so far and the apartments are absolutely no help. Even though I have all my emails from the apartment management company documenting everything & my notice of nonrenewal letter (they claim I didn’t give notice which I clearly did) & pics documenting everything. They just tell me since they have been bought out twice by different mgmt co’s since I lived there that there’s nothing they can do for me to help. The debt aka «balance» was sold to the collection agency the month after I moved out so the apts apparently never had any real intentions to even notify me (probably bc they knew they weren’t real charges & I would dispute them!) The collection agency is telling me all The Mission Ranch Apts have to do is tell them the debt is settled or not valid & this will all go away. But they won’t, so now I’m being told I’ll have to get an attorney & take them both to court for civil damages when all I’m trying to do is find a place for me & my son to live next month & for us to move in to now & this is preventing us from doing that!
