El Chico

This place is horrible, the food looks nothing like the menu. On December 23, 2015 my family and I ate at the Town East location. When the bacon wrap chicken was delivered to my table I asked the waiter what it was, he said it was what I ordered, told him that it doesn’t even look like the menu item I ordered and asked that he have the manager stop by our table. Manager said that other than not having the lettuce under the bean bowl, and having the chopped tomatoes on top of the beans, and not having the corn and other vegetables on the plate it was the same item. He asked if I wanted a desert to make up for it and I declined stating that what I really wanted was what I ordered. It looked noting at all like the picture menu. I took a picture and posted it on el Chico Mesquites Facebook page and they said it look like someone ate off the plate! The manager was there all the time and couldn’t justify what was served other than to make comments like «well if it had this or that it would be the same». Beware of what you order there and don’t expect it to look anything like the menu item!!!

Went here for lunch. The food was just ok. But the service was excellent. They’ve got good lunch specials during the week.

Please do not waste your money unless you have a very low standard of Mexican food. It was totally horrible. We ordered several different things on the menu and it was all horrible. I have no idea how this place stays in business. A frozen Mexican dinner would have been better. The enchilada sauce tasted like tomato sauce. My daughter had to stop eating it because she felt that she might throw up. You have been warned!!!

Best service you’ll get in the mall. Jeff the GM is always making sure everyone is happy. Food is consistent, fast and inexpensive. Stop in, you won’t be disappointed.

The food and service sucks. Avoid like a plague.

Since we walked in the door nothing but great service! A gentlemen asked how everything was going and greeted us with a smile. Our server Megan was very sweet and presentable. Went that extra mile to make sure we where good and satisfied with our meal. My order was done wrong but she gladly took my plate and had it redone. Now usually people will get servers that will make that annoyed face or the are you serious right now face. But not megan she did it with a smile. Brought my food and I got to admit my order was wrong again with the meat selection but I didn’t care something about her just made me not care she was a sweetheart to us. Now while we were eating there was another server just talking and talking to customers about her whole life story you could tell the customers just wanted to leave since they were a senior couple shoot even I wanted to leave hearing her yap away. Well after all our experience was way beyond Excellent.

Friendly staff. Solid food. Not amazing, but worth a visit every once in a while. The kids love it and that’s important.

Very close to home for me. Quit eating there for years, no rhyme or reason, just chose other places.
Recently visited several times and each time has been a pleasant event.
Super nice to my 4 yr old twins everytime they are with us. Always accomodating my needs with fresh limes to corn tortillas. The manager is super friendly and always shares stories with us =)
The top shelf queso is fabulous. It has beef and pico de gallo in it– enough for several people to get full off of and not order a meal. Their chicken fajitas are fabulous. The steak sometimes seems charred to me and I like mine a little less done so I only order the chicken.
My spouse and kids love thier fried ice cream sundae at the end of the meal!
Way to go El Chico!

Yes it’s a chain but it’s always great and I know what to expect. I can drink their salsa and have NEVER had bad service. The manager always checks on us and it’s close to home.
