Taco Bueno

Been going here since I was in high school! Still one of my favorite places! the food is always hot & fresh. And that homemade salsa. So good! Try the firehouse salsa, it’s the best!

I go here quite often and have only had an issue once with my order. Normally my order is correct, ingredients are fresh and service fast. I really enjoy their daily specials which make it possible to have a good meal without spending a fortune.

We get take out food a few times a month from here. Usually I have no complaints. Not sure what’s going on there tonight. Salsa bar was gross and the salsa looked like it has been in there all day. Crusty around the edges. No ice in the machine, Pepsi is mostly fizz and little syrup, even AFTER I told them and they switched it out (I guess I have my doubts about that actually happening). They see me standing waiting for Pepsi but no one can tell me when it was ready? They never filled up the ice while I was there. The ‘queso’ is absolutely disgusting. I get home and my order is wrong. I guess it might be awhile before I get food there again. Maybe they are having a bad night but doesn’t anyone there tonight know how to run a fast food place? Come on, man. I should have went down the road to Chipotle!

We have eaten at this location many time throughout our 15 years in the Mesquite area. We’ve noticed the cleanliness of the location has gone downhill in the last few years, but our visit on July 17^th was the worst yet.
When we tried to find a table there were none in the dining room that were clean. There were only about 5 tables being used and at least 10 dirty tables. My husband went to tell the workers and asked someone to come clean one of the tables. No one ever came into the dining room to clean. Eventually we found on of he counter spots relatively clean and sat there.
During this time, I observed a large family using napkins and water from a bottle cleaning their own table off. That is unacceptable! When I went to get salsa from their salsa bar, it was a disgusting disaster. I witnessed one of the workers refilling containers at the salsa bar, but never cleaning around it. There were pieces is food and crumbled napkins all around the bar. It’s a fast food restaurant, I’m not expecting fine dining, but I do expect cleanliness!

Cheap, fast, greasy, not as bad as taco bell.

Another restaurant I randomly decided to dine for dinner. Nothing to write home about in my opinion. The service wasn’t top notch at ALL!!! The cashier seemed to be bothered that I needed a moment to glance over the menu. Once my order was placed she disappeared to go chat with friends in the dining area. I was ignored when I returned to the counter for a carry out box.
–Poor customer service
–Unpleasant staff
–Large portions, but not tasty or appealing.
I’d rather dine at Taco Bell, at least the food is good and the service is friendly.

I come here often after a long day at work, and they are always extremely friendly and they always fix my special orders correctly, without making me feel like «that customer». lol I will be back!

good clean place to grab a quick bite

Loves me some Taco Bueno!!! Living in Chitown I crave Bueno! I hit this one up every time I visit. Not the cleanest joint in the world, but I’m here for some tex mex fast food goodness! Love the muchaco and party burritos. Beats Taco Bell by a mile.
