Have eaten there several times. The food is good but be careful if you are reserving the private room. I reserved the private room on Dec 1st, and when I booked the room I told them that it was a party of 8 – 10. I told them I understood if they did not want to book it for a party that small. They said first come, first served and that it was booked for us on Dec 18th. On Dec 14th, they called and said that there was a double booking and that the other bigger party had given a deposit. That they did not know that I had booked it… if they did not know, how did they know to call to tell me that it was double booked? A deposit would have been given if they would have asked for one when the original booking had taken place. We were offered a 3 feet ‘wall’ to be put around another area for us. So we would be like herded animals? Then offered a few free appetizers for our trouble. We found another great restaurant that we were able to get into at the last minute. Sorry but this is just bad business!!! Too many other great restaurants that treat their customers right to give money to this establishment. Beware if you are booking the private room, if a bigger fish comes along you will be bumped and lied too!

Pick and dish… any dish! Like seriously you could probably close your eyes and randomly pick an item off the menu and be extremely satisfied. Hidden away in Metairie, Andy’s has it covered on all fronts. The food, ambiance(take advantage of the outside seating), service, drinks, EVERYTHING is A-1! And you can’t go wrong with the happy hour specials… because who doesn’t love Martini Madness?!(On Tuesday’s and Thursdays). Everything from the salads, burgers, pizza(which is award winning and cooked in a wood burning oven), and tons of FRESH seafood… you can’t go wrong with anything you choose. Our bartender for the night Allen was super cool, as is everyone who I ever encountered there! Keep it up Andy’s! Even though I wanna keep you to myself :-)

A great place tucked just off the beaten path. I have been there several times. From hamburgers and pizza to steaks and fish. Everything is always first class without being stuffy.

Amazing food and service! Oohh Wee aka Elizabeth is great at what she does. We went here for Thanksgiving and we will be back for a regular meal. All servers should take notes from her. She loves her job and is great at it. There aren’t enough words to describe our experience here. We had the 3 course Thanksgiving meal. Traditional Thanksgiving with a Creole Cajun flare.

We absolutely loved our date night here at Andy’s. Neil was our server and he was great. Not intrusive, but helpful. Started with the cheese plate and cool brees cocktail. Had the filet and chargrilled oysters for our main course. All was wonderful! The chocolate bread pudding was a bit rich, but that is expected. Would go here again for sure. Beautiful interior, quiet and charming.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Metairie. My husband and I have been twice and have had excellent food/service both times. The first time we went in, we had Chris as our server. He was funny, attentive, and knew his stuff about the menu. We got the cheese plate for an appetizer, which was a great assortment. We were in a burger kind of mood, and they were nothing short of amazing. You can tell everything is made fresh, especially those fries! Second time we went was for happy hour. My gin cocktail was delicious and for 5 bucks each, you can’t beat it. We also got a flatbread and potato skins to split at 5 dollars each. Both were amazing. Nothing beats a pizza made in a firewood oven; you can definitely taste the difference! Andy’s will definitely be put into our rotation of places to eat out. We can’t wait to try the steaks.

We had a great meal on Monday night. Thank you Joseph T for the great service. The steak was perfect and the Brussel sprouts were a great surprise. The atmosphere was very classy and all the staff were frendly. Can’t wait to go back to the NOLA area and indulge again.

I had heard some good things about Andy’s from a very reliable source, and had checked reviews on Unilocal, and all seemed a «go». The menu Listed chicken livers as a «snack» and Crystal onion strings as «small plate». Being raised on chicken liver, I was excited to try them. Expecting maybe 5 or 6 pieces, I was stunned at the large size serving. It was enough for an entire meal. My better half doesn’t like chicken livers so I left more than ¾ of the order uneaten. The crystal fries were served as a «mountain«, almost a foot high serving size. Again, quite a bit was left uneaten. Food quality was not better than«average». For main course, My wife had the Redfish meunière, and it was a very large serving and she said the fish was fresh, but nothing special about the flavor and taste. To go along with my Draft Abita Amber, I tried the French Burger, served with melted Brie, Arugula and carmelized onions. Very disappointed, in that an overwhelming sense of Worchester Sauce permeated the entire sandwich and the expected taste of Brie and arugula failed to materialize. If you like large portions, Andy’s will fill the bill. Fairly expensive for two. I rate Andy’s out of five.

My husband and I brought my parents there last night for my dad’s birthday. The place was really nice. Service was excellent. Problem was the food was just ok. I had the shrimp and oysters minus the oysters extra shrimp and it was just ok. My fries where way over cooked. I actually had the take the skins off to eat because they where a little too hard. My husband got the shrimp and grits and said they where just ok. Nothing special. I guess if we go back we would try something different.

Awesome night! Great steak(rib eye) cooked to perfection, and sizzling when they bring it out on a plate to the table. Desert is to die for. Banana Foster Cheesecake! A must try! Service is excellent and the staff is very knowledgeable of the menu and friendly. I will be back soon!

Place is very inviting and friendly. The food & drinks are«On-Point» and the staff are a «Class Act!». Our waiter Joe T. was excellent and treated us like family. Can not wait until my next trip down to NOLA.

Perfect filet’s, fantastic shrimp and grits, awesome creamed spinich, and incredible chargrilled oysters. Highly recommend the Sazerac-styled cocktail. Only thing that was«ok» were the BBQ shrimp. The sauce was very thick and a bit rich. Other than that, man… those filet’s!

This place was an awesome jewel to find. It’s a bit of a sleeper as it’s off the beaten path a bit but super nice ambiance and amazing food. Yes I’ve ordered the same steak(tenderloin) every time I go but why change perfection. The staff has always been sincerely friendly and the vibe is very comfortable and pleasant. I’d definitely go back anytime I am in the area.

So far I’ve only been here once but I can’t get enough of this place! I went as a little post-birthday celebration and looking for a reasonably priced steakhouse. I wanted to try out somewhere more local instead of the big Houston’s or Ruth Chris steakhouse chains. I found his little gem on Unilocal and I’m so glad I gave them a try! We got the Steak Andy(filet with lobster topping) and the Steak NOLA(filet with shrimp and a peppery gravy) with creamed spinach and mushroom sides along with a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. In my opinion, the steak options are more reasonably priced than what you might find at most chain steakhouse restaurants. Also, the quality was phenomenal and probably on par with service you would expect at top dollar fine dining establishments like Antoine’s or Galatoire’s. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. In fact, everyone at the bar was incredibly friendly! We made new friends after sitting down for only a few minutes. Homemade bitters and fresh fruit adorn the bar. The speciality cocktails looked awesome too although I stuck to their house red since there was a $ 5 happy hour special. I have to say, as an avid lover of red wine, their house brand is a surprisingly good quality. I hear there’s $ 3 martini happy hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I’m excited to give that a try. Also, $ 18 burgers and beer Mondays. They also claimed to have some saints game specials as well. I just can’t wait to come back to Andy’s soon and explore my little Metairie hidden gem!

WHISPERINGQUIETDINNER Have you ever observed kids horsing with a gumball machine. They rough play it hoping for a gumball to find its way out. There will be fast and slow manipulation of the turn key. They’ll try sticking their hand up the dispenser slot. Everything but dropping and breaking the glass globe. Comparatively speaking, that’s a normal day with my client. Always trying to squeeze something extra out of me IMHO. Night before I dined at the New Orleans Food & Spirits and earlier today I had a balanced but rich saucy seafood pasta lunch at Russell’s Marina Grille. Both places were packed and jacked up with lots of chattering diners. This evening I’m going to Andy’s Bistro which is on the way back and not far from the Marriott Metairie. No Creole or Cajun but Italian in a country club like setting. White table clothed tables spaced apart so that there’s more comfort and calmness. The waiting area is clean, open and seemingly well lit with the precision white Italian oyster tiles. Beyond this room the rest of restaurant is wall to wall polished hardwood flooring. A nice touch of class. Since they’re in season it’s grilled Redfish accompanied by an Italian vegetable medley with of course zucchini and pearl onions. The fish filet is skinned on one side exposing it to spreading pinches of aromatic seasoning and a more than generous thin overlay of lemon lime beurre blanc sauce. Other side of the filet still has the thin skin attached which is crispy and lightly salted shielding the Redfishs’ moist and tender flaky delicate white meat from being overly cooked. For dessert a dense sweet Chocolate Chip crusted Pecan Pie Vanilla Ice Cream ala mode affectionately and playfully caramel drizzled. Together enough for a lite dinner for two. We ate slowly and enjoyed every bite in a much appreciated and relaxing setting. Glancing at other tables I couldn’t resist from noticing the heaping mound of fried onion rings, mac n’ cheese and steaks being served. A most enticing sneak preview for my next visit. Sogni d’oro ! Everyone.

I got a love like whoa for Sarah working the bar. She can make some mean drinks. Don’t even tell her what you want and just let her do her thing and you won’t be disappointed. While I was there I got to enjoy the wedge salad, which was done perfectly with all super fresh ingredients and house made dressing. The italian pizza was also very tasty that is cooked in their wood fire oven. The ambiance is appealing to the eye with dim lighting and a modern atmosphere.
