LOVE this place! Great food and the employees are so nice! I try to come and eat here at least once a week. I have sent so many people over here and they rave about it too!!!

3⁄5 cravings satisfied. there’s a deep, salt-driven hunger for chinese food. and when i say chinese, i mean american chinese, and when i say american chinese, i typically mean fast food. panda is all these things for me. so for a while now, my teenage self has been having these chinese food cravings, and here i was. after an afternoon of mall-ing(it was a very socal day). the fried rice is what it is, the chow mein that’s on the dry side is what it is. the chicken is forever going to be what it is, and if you’re looking for more than what it is then you’ll need to look elsewhere. not sure if folks know this — you can totes go half rice/half noodles as the base of your plate orders. plus: all the calories are readily posted. it helps you know how far you’ll need to run later.

Loved this place elsewhere. Maybe here in the Deep South people don’t like steamed veggies but I do. Buy them elsewhere. They were cold and not even steamed thoroughly. I also remember the honey walnut shrimp more flavored. It was a nice taste of elsewhere but probably won’t be back till I try somewhere else

Attention people, this is fast food. If you are expecting a gourmet sit down meal cooked to order, delicately seasoned to meet your especially pretentious expectations, then don’t bother. When evaluating this restaurant for what it is, fast food, I cannot think of a single thing wrong with it. It is clean, the service is acceptable and some of the menu items are actually tasty. I don’t care for everything they serve, but that is the case at every fast food restaurant. There are different menu items designed to appeal to a broad range of people. Some you like some you don’t. You walk in select your sides, then select your entrée, they hand it to you, and you pay for it. Not complicated, and any delays are usually the result of a super indecisive person agonizing over orange chicken or beef. Every time I have been in here, the service has been friendly, and acceptably fast. If you don’t think the food in the service line looks fresh enough, they will gladly make you a fresh batch of your selected entrée and have it ready in less than 10 minutes. They even have some grilled veggies that are pretty darn good. The chow mein is always a winner to me. At night they seem to become a haven for hungry partiers trying to gobble down a drive thru meal before 10 pm. If you are in the mood for some yummy Chinese style food, that doesn’t make your bank account scream, then give it a try.

I like It! You can get good value and still eat healthy. The food was fresh and hot. I like the fact that they do small batch cooking. It’s a great option for lunch.

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Disgusting. I’ve been sick for hours after eating it. No quality whatsoever. I’m only giving it a star to be able to post this.

Its tough for me to give a good rating to a place with express in their name who asks you to pull over and wait over 20 minutes for your food. I already know the food is mediocre. I guess I can only blame myself. Next time I have a Chinese craving this will not be my first second or last choice.

I love chinese food, but the Panda Express spelled out ‘disappointment’ for me. It still seems fairly popular, and I know many people have many different tastes, but I disliked this fast-food chain. The preparation seemed rushed and frantic, though it was probably due to the long line behind me. Anyway, the noodles seemed bland, the beef pasty, the orange chicken was«meh», and the spring roll sauce seemed acidly sweet. Of course this is only my opinion as many people do like this restaurant, but I prefer to stick with my usual restaurants instead.

Chinese fast food. The food usually isn’t that fresh. But I go here occasionally when I’m in a hurry and the Chik Fil A line next door is ridiculous.

I have been to Panda Express before and chose to drive-thru at this location on a rainy night. Service was quick, I picked up a two entrée Broccoli Beef & Mushroom Chicken w/half fried rice and half chow mein… It was pretty good and satisfied my craving for Chinese food. They give you a fortune cookie as well!

It’s fast food not a Besh place, what are you expecting? It’s fast, it’s cheap and it’s yummy. Panda Express is trying to revamp the menu and I’m glad I gave them another shot. There are plenty of low cal dishes now and brown rice. My only issue is that you usually have to wait for the dish you want bc they have run out of it on their line. The place is always clean, plenty of seats. Drive thru is available too.

I never thought id dine on Asian fare in New Orleans, but what can I say, I was hungry and did not feel like going in anywhere. The drive through was fast, efficient, and the food was good.

This is to Chinese food as Taco Bell is to Mexican food. I’m sure it has it’s fans, and I guess it meets the basic standards of «food». It’s clean. It’s pretty on the outside, and it takes credit cards. If your standards aren’t too high, you could do worse. I guess.

With a group last weekend, this is where we ended up. I wasn’t thrilled. Good news! I found two things on the menu that are actually tasty and taste much like real food! The Honey Walnut Shrimp — yum! The Fire Pineapple(or something) Chicken — yum! The rice and the noodles are still bland, tasteless and pretty much gross, but I’ll go back again for those two entrees.

Eh… It’s ok?!? For fast food it took a mighty long time for me to get it. The food was okay but the service didn’t make up for it, so I doubt I’ll try this place again eventhough it was packed and the drive thru line was kinda busy too.

The first time i came here I think i was blinded by the fact the two items i ordered were out and had to be made fresh. Sweet fire chicken and beijing beef was great. The next two times the food was absolutely gross. I’m pretty sure I’m done with this one. They are only getting two stars becasue of my first visit.

I was craving a spicy chicken sandwich from Chick Fil A for lunch, but upon seeing the line, I decided against it. Instead, I giggled at the«Gourmet Chinese Food» sign next door at Panda Express and decided, what the heck. Once upon a time, I was a mall rat as a teenager. However, that was in Canada, and we didn’t have Panda Express. Thus, this was my first Panda Express experience… and not even at a mall! The drive thru was a little slow, but it was lunch, so that was expected. They have a nice selection of entrees that you can combine with a side, in a bowl or in a tray. There are pictures of each one too, just incase you aren’t entirely sure what you’re ordering. Oh, right, the food. It was about on par with Chinese takeout, which was surprising since the food sits around on a line. The advantage over regular hole-in-the-wall takeout joints is that you can pick multiple entrees and make a meal, whereas most takeout combos are«rice + entrée + egg roll.» Nothing really stands out, but it’s all pretty good. The Beijing Beef is like a somwhat spicy Beef version of General Tso’s chicken. I had some other spicy Chicken option too, but can’t remember the name. It wasn’t very spicy, either. If I get a random Chinese craving for lunch, I may come back, although there is a takeout spot quite a bit closer to my workplace. Panda Express isn’t really worth the drive to Vets for me.

Though no Pandas are on the menu at this«Gourmet» Chinese restaurant, there is at least a variety of shrimp and chicken styles to appease both my picky palette and the interests of my small charges. The BBQ pork is tasty, but an unnatural shade of bright red. The server couldn’t answer our question about how they got the pig so red… but she was very nice when asked for extra sauces. I have to admit to being a little disappointed that there is only one type of tea offered and Pepsi products rather than Coke :( BUT they do have Sobe drinks and I am cutting out soda in my life! The food was yummy and filling! I loved the Sweet and Sour chicken best. The fried rice and«spicy pepper chicken» were not that spicy — something that made me happy. ^.^ Go forth and support Pandas! Get some non-greasy and some of the freshest chain-store fast food I have yet encountered!

This food is disgusting. Mandarin chicken is very odd tasting to say the least. Kung Pao chicken has more vegetables and peanuts than chicken. The fried rice, don’t even bother. Took about 10 minutes to get my food in the drive-thru. I get home to find out they didn’t even give me my egg rolls, which were probably nasty anyway. Don’t listen to the shills giving this place 4 – 5 stars.

Awesome!!! Finally a Panda Express in Metairie! It’s even a drive thru too. I just visited there tonight. I ordered inside. I’ll try the drive thru another time. First off, it’s pretty much like most of the Panda Express locations. If you’re not familiar with them, they are typically bright colors, Chinese umbrellas and panda artwork. This location is mostly an orange and purple theme. I think it’s the nicest looking Panda Express location I’ve seen so far(…and I’ve seen quite a few!) They have a wide variety of entrees to choose from. All of them looked fresh and yummy. They are most known for their«Orange Flavored Chicken.» So, my choice tonight was the half rice, half chow mein with orange chicken and beijing beef. It was all very good. I look forward to going back soon!
