Papa John’s Pizza

I wanted to write this review to let everyone know that this Papa Johns on W. Esplanade in Metairie has the nicest delivery men I have ever met so far. His name is Danny! He is so polite and gives the kind of service all the delivery guys should! Every time we order pizza we always hope it’s him!

I consistently order from this location although the decision between Domino’s and Papa John’s is very competitive in my house given my close proximity to both delivery areas. Especially since both run at the same price range.
All in my household agree that even though Domino’s has consistently good pizza as well, the WINGS at Papa John’s are WAY better! Not soggy and limp like the ones we always got delivered from Domino’s. Plus I also happen to be a fan of the Pepsi products that Papa John’s provides.
Another thing that sets Papa John’s apart is that the service is always consistently fast and friendly each time. The Domino’s delivery drivers are never quite as friendly. I don’t expect my pizza delivery worker to do a tap dance and appear overly joyous or anything… but the Domino’s workers don’t ever seem to even smile or talk at all. It’s just like, «here I am and here’s your pizza and here’s your receipt.» But the Papa John’s people always smile and ask me about the latest football score on tv or ask me how my day is going. I don’t know if that’s important to most people but for me not looking totally miserable while delivering my pizza order sure goes a long way!
Also, once our Papa John’s driver forgot the Pepsi I had ordered and had drove off before I remembered he forgot it. I figured, «no big deal it’s just a $ 2 pepsi,» but he actually called me and apologized and drove all the way back to my place to drop it off to me! So I thought that was nice of him to come all the way back and deliver it because it was only a $ 2 item and he could have just easily not acknowledged it since I never called into the store to complain.
Papa John’s remains to be a pretty consistent pizza ordering destination at my place :-)

I work right behind the papa johns and it takes 1hr15min for me to get cold pizza. STAY AWAY

4 Stars for consistency in service, quality and their user friendly app.
We used to be a house divided by papa johns and pizza hut fans. Without any coercion from me, we are united as one happy papa john pizza eating family.
There are only so many times a house can order pizza from each establishment and the papa john fans are wiping their cheese dripping faces with satisfaction before pizza hut even thinks about putting your pizza in the oven.
I love their local promotions linked to teams like the Pelicans. If they win, pizza is half off the next day. Use their app to score a free pizza. I have called the customer service number to add a coupon code (because I forgot) and they were super nice both times.
I love the extras that come with the pizza like garlic butter sauce for the crust, fresh peppers on the side and complimentary parmesan and red pepper flakes too.
My pizza just arrived (earlier than expected) so I gotta go!
