There’s nothing «upscale» about this place! This is a want-​a-​be upscale place. Don’t waste your time or money here!!! The drinks are expensive, the bartender Lori is rude and doesn’t know how to make drinks. In addition, she charged my card twice. Neither the bartender or owner, Stephanie, was willing to remedy the situation. When giving the owner feedback as to what happened and how rude her bartender was, she told me that not only was I not allowed to return to the bar but that because I mentioned we came to see friends in the band play that night, she was not allowing that band to return either. What trashy and idiot women! I wouldn’t return to that bar if you paid me!!! Trust me, there are much better and friendlier establishments in Metairie to go to! It’s too bad I even have to give one star to post this. They deserve nothing!

I saw the Facebook page for this place as well as the Unilocal!pictures and reviews and thought, «Wow! This place is in Metairie?!» So after a show one night, we decided to have a few drinks afterward at this place. The closer we got, we realized the location, in the bermuda triangle of bars next to the service road, and grew suspicious. Upon entering, it was remodeled very nicely, great bartop, backbar lighting, and beer and liquor selection. The girl working was very beautiful but obviously «over it» by that point in the night. The only other patrons were two construction workers who looked left over from happy hour and were extremely intoxicated, to the point of making us want to leave after one drink. I hope this place succeeds, but I feel like it’s just going to be a place for Metry brahs and gals to flock with better amenities.

Saturdays with DJ Jubilee and PNC are so fun! Having a blast with old school local rap music. DJ Jubilee is an awesome DJ. $ 5 cover wont keep me away. Great crowd… Not ghetto… And I still dont come home smelling like an ashtray! Great job, Stephanie!!!

So excited to have an upscale lounge with Metairie prices so close to the house. It’s about time! Been stopping here on my way home from work at night. Friendly faces and good music, (except when the DJ plays country) but he doesn’t go overboard and generally has a great mix of music. Was getting real tired of going to the same old places so Stir is a breath of fresh air!

I don’t usually go to bars, not too big on the overall environment, but Stir is different! First of all, it’s smoke free from jump street, so no stale smoke smell. Secondly, it’s beautiful! That’s unexpected in a hidden gem like Stir! I love the fact that we can stop in for a couple of drinks and not have to leave reeking of smoke!!! The drinks are reasonably priced, music will have you dancing the night away. I love this place, and not because I know the owner, but because it’s perfect for people like me– not a barfly.
