I did not stay at this motel location, but felt it was important to warn you! When we drove up we saw 3 prostitutes walking away from the motel, but that didn’t discourage us as much as the questionable guests this motel was housing. We inspected the room and it was clean. Unfortunately, we felt too uneasy and insecure about our safety. The only good thing about this motel is that they were willing to refund our money!

Upon arriving front desk staff didn’t even say hi or welcome or anything, just asked my name. Thought it was a bit rude. Room was stuffy/old smelling. The heater thermostat was finicky as was the bathroom shower temperature. Cold was hot and hot was cold. Carpet was frayed in places and the bed was so soft it felt more like we slept on a pile of pillows rather than a mattress. The blanket between the two sheets that acted as a comforter? Was itchy so you could feel it through the sheet. The room did have a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker plus an iron and ironing board. Only one nightstand for our king bed. Also we got a total of two towels for drying that were small at best. I am a woman and need at least two towels just for myself. Lol. After the reception I got at check in I wasn’t going to ask for more sandpaper, I mean towels. Breakfast is continental with make your own waffles. Skip the coffee as it wasn’t very good at all. One morning we were grabbing a bagel and yogurt to head out to town and as I was walking out the lady by the breakfast room stopped me. She said she couldn’t allow me to leave with the food. When asked why not she stated that they had issues with roaches and bugs. Mmmm appetizing. I informed her I was leaving in our vehicle and she let me pass. As the rooms have fridges, microwaves AND room service, I don’t really get that and found it really irritating. The room overall was reasonably clean and it seemed safe enough especially for the area. Overall I don’t see my staying again as $ 80 a night at a discounted rate is still just too high for the level this hotel is at.

THELOCATION The hotel is conveniently located right off the I-10, not far from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The access to I-10 gives it a decent drive to the French Quarter. It is also not far from the Mall. THEPERKS A decent continental breakfast was included: waffles, danishes, yogurt, milk, coffee, juice, etc. THEAMENITIES The room offers a mini fridge and microwave. Unfortunately, both of these appliances were dirty and I didn’t care to use them. I believe there was a coffee pot in the room. There is an outdoor pool on the premises. THEROOMS. The room and bathroom are a pretty decent size. Pretty much there was a queen bed, a tv, a chair, a microwave, a desk and chair combo and a mini fridge. The rooms could use some décor updates and the room was a little stuffy. When feasible we propped the door open to get some air circulation and reduce the smell. The carpet has some rips and tears at the bathroom threshold. THESTAFF The folks at the front desk for check in were okay. The house keeping staff came each day as usual. No complaints there. MISCELLANEOUS There is free WiFi in the rooms. We stayed here for the Wrestlemania XXX weekend so given the price and the amount of time NOT spent in the room, it was expensive but one of the better deals at the time, all things considered. I suppose, if I knew that I would rarely be in the room, I could stay again… if the rates were MUCH lower.

Next time try one of the other hotels around the area before checking into this place! We checked in on 3⁄9 and checked out on 3⁄12. We had found this hotel through the Hotels. Com website and the reviews there were decent enough. My bestie and I had 2 rooms with 5 kids split between us, with the kids ranging from 1 – 9 so you can imagine the need for room service. Unfortunately are rooms were only cleaned once while we were there. I was furious as one of the kids were sick and the bed needed new sheets/towels as a result. The shift manager said that housekeeping knocked on our doors and we told them no service, I laughed and told her that we finished breakfast by 8:30am and left the hotel for our days of activities. She seemed annoyed to have to bring us sheets and towels(didn’t even bring the fitted sheets). The breakfast area is small, 6 tables with about 18 chairs for a very large 3-story Hotel. And they have a strict no taking breakfast items out of the lobby policy. So where are our children suppose to eat messy waffles, cereal, oatmeal, toast, and yogurt at? Not sure if it was worth the $ 226 a piece. We liked the small fridge and microwave option as we packed snacks and lunches for our days.

This is a waste of money. $ 80 for a room with mold on the walls and that smells like way too much disinfectant. The wireless is worthless; I can’t even load a basic web page on it.

Friendly staff. Breakfast was alright for free continental if you like the make it yourself waffles, minute maid juice, cereal and instant oatmeal(I did). Rooms are clearly older and could use some repair, from ironing board to some walk paper and old microwave and tv. Felt safe though and decent spot right off freeway. Has an old dirt in the corners and nooks that can’t really be cleaned with just routine maintenance. Likelihood of staying here again? Not Super likely. Might consider a hostel over this next time.

Clean and has a small fridge and a microwave. Free breakfast and a small outdoor pool that I assume will be open in the summer. nothing fancy but a decent little place
