Usually this place is incredible, but they are having a bad day. Or at least our server is. Burnt cold food. No creamer. And overcharged!

Nothing really special. Just a wanna-be diner chain with decent food. Perfect if you’re a truck driver as there is plenty of parking. Or if you’re just passing through on I-24, or stopping at Metropolis as an excuse to see Superman.

I love this place. Delicious food. They have a smothered biscuit that is fantastic. We stop here now every time we are in the area. Fast service. Good food. Nicely priced. Thank you again for a great breakfast.

Looking for a good place to eat… this ain’t it. Southern Illinois version of Waffle House, except they don’t know how to make grits… which is hard to believe. Pretty lumpy.
Not sure how you mess up pancakes but they did. They didn’t clean the griddle before making them so the pancakes tasted like everything else that had cooked there before. In this case, jalapeño peppers. Maybe Ellie May works in the kitchen. Waitress almost acted like we were an imposition and dropped our receipt when she dumped off the food. And it wasnt even cheap. Tried to call the number to complain… no answer. Metropolis is the home of Superman but this place is pure kryptonite.

Very Friendly service. Good traditional diner food. These folks work for their money and do it with a smile. A great place to stop for a burger.
