White Castle

I went to the drive through after work about a week ago, I pulled up to the speaker & after 5 min of sitting there someone finally answered:
White Castle: «Yea?!»
Me: «hello?»
White Castle: «Yea?! What!»
Me: «Can I order something?»
White Castle: «Yea! What do you want!?!»
(If my fiancé didn’t really want White Castle I would’ve left at this point.)
Me: *order*
White Castle: «Go to the window.»
I pull up, a tall, thin African American man answers. He reaches for my card, I ask for the total he grunts at me & says the amount.
My order was right but I felt like an inconvenience. I won’t be going back to this one.

It’s White Castle. You want White Castle, they have White Castle. That includes: terrible service, terrible food, terrible day after White Castle.
The nice part of this place is you don’t have to travel to the heart of a ghetto to get your White Castle. The bad part is the turn off from Rt. 1 is quick, and if you don’t know exactly where it is you have to break hard to get in here and hope the guy behind you doesn’t smash into you before you get your White Castle.
These guys also do the Valentine’s Day dinner, but I have yet to convince my wife that is an acceptable plan.

Great burgers as usual. Took a while to get my 10 burgers out. Looked like someone was arguing back there.
When you pull up to the drive thru window, I swear that’s the best smell that ever came out of that window. I get even more hungrier for those damn burgers Lol
The best part, well I think… is that drive thru lady Paula… Her voice is very rhythmic and super friendly, and after a night of drinking. She makes you feel happy after ordering hahaha.
” Welcome to white castle, Hello, my name is Paula may I take your order!” Lol

Great service, awesome staff and nice food. Eileen has been the best host and server I ever meet.

Picked up a couple cases here on NYE. The place was packed.
I really enjoy the jalapeño cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, and chicken rings. Employees are very friendly, if a bit flustered when busy.
The parking lot isn’t bad, getting out of it back to 1 North is a pain sometimes.

This place has great food and great employees! I love this White Castle. I loved the veggie sliders with ketchup.

Terrible night workers. I ordered online and went to pick it up. The food wasn’t ready and the workers could not even ring up the order. After 15 minutes of confusion I was told too pay twice what the website said. Plus they didn’t even start my order. I walked out of there and don’t plan on coming back ever

Being from Maryland, I don’t just get to go to White Castle when I want. Friends and I were in Edison one night and just knew we would have to make a pit stop here for late night eats. The roads confused us, but the adventure was worth the while. Yum! Sliders! Yum! Fried starches! Happy bellies for all of us. :)

No coupon this time so no problems. Two crave cases served up quick and hot. This was a change from the last time I was here.

Absolutely horrible. Ordering food was like pulling teeth and after repeating my order 4 times, when I finally got my food there was hair on it. Needless to say my appetite was ruined.

The caramelized onions decorate bite-​sized artisan steamed burgers that burst with flavor. Those that oppose the greatness of dishes such as; chicken rings, 1-​quart milkshakes, sliders, and fish nibblers must hate America. USA, USA, USA!

They really made a movie about two guys that want to get to this so badly, they travel all night and order like $ 50 worth?
It isn’t even the same type of meat you would find on a burger. It’s like steak-​um meat. Or something worse.
The fries were OK, nothing special. The chicken rings were nothing great either.
I have no idea why this place is given such a big following. It’s so unhealthy and does not taste very good at all.
The service at the drive through was nice enough, that’s the only reason this isn’t a 1 star.

Ash told me to get the 100 x crave crate. I said hell no but was half tempted. Never the less I ate 7 sliders, sweet potato fries, a reg fry, and battering rammed that mess down my throat w/​a Sprite. Holy shit did that meal fuck me up. The worst part is right after I had to see the «book of Mormon» and my stomach gurgled during the whole show.
I am not going to say that I don’t love the castle because I secretly micro wave those little fuckers in the middle of the night but actuall going to the «establishment» for the fourth time in my life was nothing less than more of the same.
Same as in: the first time I went to White Castle on Broad in Philly and puked up 12 sliders and never made it to the fries.
Same as in: the second time I went to White castle in St. Louis and I puked up 6 sliders on the shoulder of I — 64 and never made it to the fries
Same as in: the third time i went to white castle in Clarksville, TN after Bonaroo. I held down 16 sliders (no fries this time) but was forced into the Piggly Wiggly due to extreme cramping and a need to go. After several Immodiums and a longer than expected stay that to passed.
Same as in: the fourth and last time I went to White castle when I ate the above mentioned specialities which caused me to spend a wonderful early New York afternoon locked inside the Wyndham’s bathroom wishing i was dead.
With all that being said it will be a long time before returning to another physical White Castle establishment because i will be sticking to the frozen ones which cause less pain.

It wont let me give a no stars rating. By far, the worst location ever. The drive-​thru left me sitting for five minutes with the microphone open while employees complained about working too hard. This actually happened twice. I contacted their customer service online… Seems they could care less too. Never contacted me.

I don’t think they understand English too well. I ordered a combo meal which should have been about $ 5 but the cashier rung up something for $ 7. The difference in price wasn’t a big deal, but I wanted to make sure I was getting what I ordered. It took three people to ring up a value meal number from their menu with me pointing at it and stating what I wanted. And they screwed up the order of someone I was with who requested sweet potato fries. When she went back to the counter they gave her an attitude as if she was the one who ordered wrong. It is really not that hard. I don’t know why they make getting fast food so difficult.

As everyone before me has said, limit your human interactions after eating.
I am saddened by their prices marching upward. When I was younger, White Castle’s great appeal was its 30 cent hamburgers when compared to McDonalds’ 99 cent burgers, and 3 white castles were more burger than 1 McDonald’s cheeseburger.
Now, however their hamburgers haven’t gotten any bigger, but the prices are now more expensive than McDonald’s, and that just seems wrong.
My experiences with the Edison White Castle are limited to its drive thru window, and it tends to be slow… but good things come to those who wait, I suppose. :-)

This is the White Castle that I hit when I come back from the shore. Its’ close location in close proximity to I-​287 makes it perfect for that.
There’s nothing that works up my hunger quite like a full day at the beach, and I figure I must burn off a ton of calories in the ocean so that it justifies putting down 140 calorie, 7 grams of fat tiny mystery-​meat burgers.
No? It doesnt? Well who asked you anyway.

No doubt this is the spot for late night eating. The jalapeño burgers has some kick to them and the chicken rings are off the hook!
The bad thing is the drive thru wait during late night hours. Be prepared to wait at least 10 – 15 minutes in your car. You might be better off ordering inside. (I’ve only came here late nights/​early morning drive thru)

How is it that this place rocks so much that I miss it no matter where I go. Maybe its the little burgers with holes in the meat, filled with onions!
Man these tings are so good and far better than frozen.
I mean FROZEN WHITE CASTLES AIN’T EVEN CLOSE!
I can get 5 burgers, 2 fish sandwiches, 1 fry, 1 onion ring and a large drink for less than $ 8.
But after you eat these things… WINDY CITY!!! Banggoo Time!!! Don’t light a match!!!
Be careful. They are amazingly addictive!
Wish they had some here in CA!
