This is not pizza, it’s flat break with sauce or cheese on top. Like a big cracker with sauce and you say it’s a pizza. 17 and 18 dollars for a big cracker with cheese. If you want pizza avoid this place. Not pizza at all

Wish I lived here so I could come again! If you’ve ever been to Italy you’ll feel like you’re back! From the hospitality to the service to the attention to the food… amazing! I had the Ravioli Amami and the tiramisu… yummy! Reasonably priced and delicious– can’t lose.(It’s always a good sign when the patrons of an Italian restaurant are actually– Italian!)

This is authentic Italian in Miami Beach with a heavy emphasis on seafood. We had the seafood grill and it was outstanding. The food was very fresh. The best calamari I ever had. Not frozen everything is extremely fresh. The pasta was as good as it gets. The wine is a bargain. We had a great super Tuscan on special for $ 48.The owners are from Milan and were just great. Our favorite Italian in Miami Beach. We will be back.

Some places you must try for yourself. I find it hard to believe in a Sunday evening this place was empty. Wishing my babe was with me to dance to the cool bossa nova playing, makes me want to dance. I so enjoyed my beverage. Next time I must try the food. It’s around midnight and I’m feeling nice!!! New favorite customer

Love coming here. It’s not pretentious just good food. The pizza is authentic roman pizza, the owner is friendly and very welcoming. Lots of people speak Italian in here. It’s like a slice of Italy, pun intended. Do yourself a favor, eat here. The price is reasonable and I don’t think we’ve ever had a bad anything.

I ordered a pizza via Eat24 and went to pick it up. I was told that in the future I should just stop by(and not order online) since the pizza only takes 5 minutes to make. Apparently they mainly use Eat24 for deliveries. Hopefully I remember this next time I’m visiting Miami! In any case, the staff/owner was very friendly and I was ok to wait for the pizza since one of those brief Miami rainstorms was passing through. The other staff was pretty friendly; some of the staff don’t seem to speak English very well. There was a group of Italians(friends of the staff?) that were hanging out and they seemed to be having fun. The ambiance of the place was very nice — small, cozy and romantic. I would eat in next time. The menu had changed from what was online but I ordered something similar to the Diavolo with bufala mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. The pizza was huge and as advertised on their website the dough was very light(no yeast) and tasted like it was fresh and healthy. :) The dough could’ve been a little firmer/crispier(especially in the middle) and the pizza could’ve been cut into smaller pieces(maybe you’re supposed to just tear and eat which I ended up doing) but it was delicious. I definitely recommend this place!

I have had dinner few days ago in this italian restaurant! It has been amazing! It’s better of many restaurants in Italy. I tried the pizza and it was specias. Thin and delicious. Also the toppings were very fresh. My friend choose the fettuccine with crabs. Very very good! And to finish an italian«tiramisù»: It looked to be in Italy! For all this perfect dinner we didn’t spend so much(and remind you are in Miami beach!!!).The staff has been friendly and neighborly: continue on this direction! Defintely if u cross Miami beach don’t miss the chance to eat here!!!

I just found my new favorite pizza place! Ordered the margarita and added mushrooms – oh, wow. Free formed pizza as long as your arm and as light as a water cracker. Best rustic pizza in town, and not overloaded with salt or cheese. We’ll be back!

I was on town for vacation, and decided to stop here as we were craving Italian, and this to have some decent reviews and was very close to South Beach. Well, this place was just awful. I wish I could say something nice, but it was bad from start to finish. The service was awful and terribly slow, the pizza was just weird and the pasta dishes we chose with fish weren’t even fresh. Add in the prices that they charge here and its a complete ripoff. Outrageous. Also, rather conveniently they also add in 18% tip, so you can’t tip accordingly based on the service. This has to easily be the worst Italian restaurant I’ve been to in Florida. If one is looking for Italian, walk further down Espanola Way, and I’m sure that there is better.

I ordered the Steak with French Fries(aka Filet Mignon ala Griglia on the menu). It was served super basic, it was not sesoned at all. No butter, no salt, no pepper no nothing. It also tasted like a burnt rubbery shoe sole and must i remind you that i ordered a medium-rare steak.

My husband and I found this gem of a restaurant while visiting South Beach. The owners were extremely friendly and suggested we try the yeast free pizza and tiramisu. Both the pizza and tiramisu were beyond fab and delish!!! Please open another restaurant in the Philadelphia area!!!

I came here with my family on vacation when we stopped in Miami, and we were disappointed. The service was quite slow and the waitresses didn’t speak English well, and the space was cramped so they were constantly hovering near our table or bumping into us. The thing is, if you’re looking for quality and authentic Italian food, you may like this place. But honestly we were all just really hungry and tired after a long day of driving, so perhaps it was not the best pick. I ordered the fettuccine with shrimp and had to season it twice — it was so bland. My brother was still hungry after finishing his food, and they started skimping our bread refills. Just not a great experience… One of our orders got delayed by at least half an hour and my cousin had to wait hungrily while everyone else are. Would not be back for sure.

Bla… Service was slow and inattentive… Maybe the server was distracted… Fiancé asked for a white wine, he wasn’t sure if they had that one so jer selected a backup. Salad came a good 10 min before the wine, and when the wine came it was neither of the ones he asked for… Also, food was not great. Fishy ravioli, caprese salad with plain tomatoes and spinach rather than basil??? We are confused. Everything took a really long time and wasn’t that good. Sorry Amami

This place was terrible. I don’t understand the 4 and 5 star reviews. This food is a disgrace to Italy. Rather than simple, high quality ingredients they used cheap stuff to cut corners. The good: The homemade pasta and sauces are wonderful. The wines were very good. The bad: The seafood was not good, the shrimp was cooked whole, without deveining or removing the whiskers. They were not cleaned at all, and there was very little meat in the two shrimp on my plate. They were inedible The clams were tiny, and in the two clam dishes we ordered we found 4 unopened«dead» clams in each. The fried gnocchi and salumi platter was mediocre at best. The mortadella was cheap supermarket bologna, and the pepperoni tasted like Hormel’s low end stuff. The burratta was just slightly watery mozzarella, not nearly creamy enough. And the friend gnocchi was just greasy fried wantons. The table service was scattered and erratic. The décor was bad, bathrooms were gross. I have even more small complaints that are not a big deal, but just added to my frustration with this place.

I found this place prior to visiting Miami for my friend’s bachlorette trip on Unilocal and had bookmarked it along with 20 other places. On our last night in town we took a bit longer to get ready and just weren’t ready to leave the beach, so we didn’t leave the hotel for dinner until 1115pm. Knowing they closed at 12am and getting to their front door at 1130 we decided to give it a shot. Our server Andre and the owner(who is from milan) welcomed us after letting us know he can do pizzas or pastas. The restaurant was in the middle of closing and yet he told us to take our time and didn’t rush us at all. We ordered a bottle of pinot and 2 pizzas to share. The pizza were huge and made yeast free so they were crispy and didn’t get soggy. We didn’t get bloated from eating it either. We had the procuitto and mushroom and the pesto and goat cheese pizza. Both were delicious and very well seasoned. The wine was kept cooled in the ice bucket and the service was amazing. After cleaning up a bit more and the servers had all left for the day we invited the owner to come sit with us and we had great conversations about traveling and miami. The place is intimate with a lot of class. Love it and will definitely be back next time!

Lovely place. Sampled the pizza outside and that was elegant and yummy, but ordered otherwise inside. I had the calamari which were fatand juicy plump morsels to sink your teeth into. The tomato sauce was just right, not too acidic and bursting with flavor. They were accommodating with switching my side to salad although I will admit the salad was on the bland side. Also, the one of the breads they serve, which comes warm and yielding to the touch, was particularly good. Good experience.

Hidden gem alert! My boyfriend and I went to Amami with a Groupon, which included two pastas, a bottle of wine and dessert. You never know how the experience might be when you go somewhere with a deal, but any apprehensions were quickly washed away as soon as the owner, Kristine, warmly greeted us. We ordered our bottle of wine — a crisp Pinot Grigio — and then out came a basket of authentic Tuscan bread… light, warm, and full of flavor. We made a small plate of seasoned olive oil and dove right in… though the oil was so good that we didn’t even need the bread. I’m not ashamed to admit that I was sopping up every last drip with my bare hands. That good. For our main courses, we ordered organic spinach and cheese ravioli with chicken and seafood linguini. The pasta was perfectly al dente… super fresh, super light and everything you’d want and expect from an Italian eatery. The real star of the entire meal was DESSERT. I do not like coffee and tiramisu is never my dessert of choice, so I’m just as shocked to admit that I would willingly give up all future meals and eat only Amami’s nutella tiramisu for the rest of my life. I would spend hours bathing in it and/or buy a whole pound and eat it from start to finish on any given night. THIS is how good the tiramisu is. Imagine layers of fluffy moist cake soaked in cream, stacked upon thin layers of nutella, topped with a cloud of whipped something-or-other…this is the stuff that dreams are made of. I would highly recommend Amami to every person I know and can’t WAIT to go back. Thank you Kristine and Matro for one of the best dining experiences a Miami girl has ever had the privilege to enjoy.
