We came for an appetizer and drinks. The ambiance was nice. Staff was pleasant. Our water glasses were filthy and they never brought new ones when we asked. We ordered the calamari and zucchini appetizer; there were a few tiny pieces of zucchini-fail. The calamari was flavorless as was the marinara dipping sauce. The marinara tasted like watered down ketchup-fail. The advertisement for drinks was 2 for 1 beers, wine, and well. The waitress looked confused when I asked for 2 for 1 coronas. They ran out of ice and all beer except Heineken. Seriously?! This place is terrible. keep walking. Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food and service.

The atmosphere is beautiful! Very relaxing and wonderful view of South Beach and of course right on Ocean Drive so it was perfect! The food was AMAZING. My fiancé had pasta, I believe it was the chicken alfredo, and WOW probably one of the best I’ve ever tried! I had the chicken caesar salad and it was also very delish! Overall a beautiful and great restaurant!

It was an amazing restaurant. We had fettuccine alfredo and it was soft and delicious. My friend had grilled salmon and it tasted amazing as well. The restrooms were super clean, the waiters did a really good job and the total price considering the ambiance was totally acceptable. I hope one day we can afford staying in the hotel:)

I had forgotten how much I missed Miami(or more precisely, Miami Beach). I had forgotten the ubiquitous soundtrack of upbeat pop with thumping bass. I had forgotten the warm humidity of the ocean air. I had forgotten how happy everybody looks in these outdoor joints on Ocean Boulevard, eating brunch or drinking giant mojitos and watching unapologetically weird folks parade by. I had also forgotten that the food at these places is not very good, and the drinks are not much better. The Cobb salad looked better than expected, but tasted worse than it looked(there wasn’t enough dressing, and it was too sweet, too), the French toast was mediocre, and the mojitos are made with a mediocre sour mix. I would give it one star for brunch, but three for drinks that evening.

Breakfast buffet review only: .:. Roasted herbed potatoes: these were pretty good. They could have been crispier, though, and /or more interesting. .:. Scrambled eggs: the giant vat of fluffy curds you’d expect from a buffet. .:. Bacon: very, very thin slices, but not crispy at all on the first day. The second day was a little better: by digging around with the tongs, I was able to find a few crispy pieces. .:. Sausage: in links, which is not my thing. My sister said they were fine. .:. Croissants: probably not homemade, but delightfully flaky. They had some nice jam to accompany them. .:. Muffins, bread and bagels: think Costco or equivalent. Ho-hum. I avoided them. .:. Coffee and juice: average. In a city renowned for Cuban food, I was hoping for thick, sweet café con leche, but no such luck. Overall, it was pretty much what you’d expect a free breakfast to be like. Considering the $ 25 service fee, though, I was hoping for a bit more.

If you are a looking for a) tourist trap, b) painfully slow service, and c) food that will make you wish you had just gone to the pizza by the slice place a few blocks away… then this is where you need to go to appreciate when things are good. I was torn the whole time, do I leave and say nothing or do I suck it up. Whoever runs this place, does not care about their business. I don’t even understand why its open? How do you mess up cocktails and seafood fare in Miami? Run. Don’t walk.

They make a Piña Colada taste bad. The easiest drink on the planet to make and they fuck it up by crafting it so that it has a bitter taste at the end. The food is bland at best and the service is easily forgettable. We haven’t even finished eating and I’m posting this hoping to save someone from an equally forgettable meal. Go somewhere else.

I stayed at The Victor during my stay in Miami and had breakfast every day at Bice. Breakfast was good. But then again, how hard is it to screw up breakfast? I also ordered a cheeseburger for lunch from Bice. The burger was fine: cooked well and the size of the burger was good. But I wish they had more toppings than just cheese. Maybe some lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles? The last night we were there, I decided to order the lobster ravioli for a late dinner. The size of the ravioli was good and they were filling. The sauce was also good. You could definitely tell they used real lobster: you could taste the difference. During dinner, I had ordered a caipirinha mojito, since I previously had it at the hotel pool and it was great. You would think they would serve the same quality to the people at the restaurant. Not! The caipirinha mojito came out in a large margarita glass filled with no alcohol and pure sour mix and sugar. I couldn’t even drink half of the drink because it was so sweet. Next thing you know, I wake up with a terrible hangover the next day. Ouch! My suggestion would be to order wine & beer instead of any mixed drinks, because you’ll definitely end up with a hangover!

We walked back and forth along Ocean Drive trying to figure out which host would lure us in with their persuasiveness. Yup, the lady hostess who said the magic words«2 for 1 drinks». We had to have the humongous drinks with the two beers we saw everyone drinking. We ordered the seafood linguine pasta. It was pretty average. The best part was just sitting outside and people watching. Oh, don’t let the 2 for 1 drinks fool you. The waiter did explain this to us in the beginning but we weren’t really paying attention. The 2 for 1 applies to EACH person. We asked for our check and he told us we still have the free drink we have to order. If I knew that, I wouldn’t have ordered that huge drink in the first place. I was already buzzed and getting a headache! Keep in mind that just about every restaurant on Ocean Ave has a person who will hound you when you walk by to try to get you to eat there. We realized most restaurants along here were tourist traps, but felt the need to eat at these tourist traps because, well… we were tourists… that fell into the trap!

This place is boarder line annoying and acceptable at the same time. I’m staying at Hotel Victor so I decided to stop in here for breakfast and then dinner. Let me start with breakfast first. When you stay as a guest you’re only offered two options as part of the stay. Everything else or add on will be additional. They made it a point to say that like 3 times. Your options will be American or Continental. The Continental you get one croissant, one pastry, fruit, coffee/orange juice. The American you get 2 eggs your way, bacon or sausage, potatoes, one pancake. No toast. It was about 8:30am and our waitress seem to be still asleep at that time. I asked her if I could give up the pancake and get toast, she said, «I will check for you» Never did and never got it. Orange juice was fresh and awesome. Food came out pretty quick which was a plus. I noticed they don’t refill the orange juice, only water. So, when I check out, Im gonna ask what the $ 25 per day hotel fee is going to be for and why they charge 17% Service Charge on top of the bill. But, thats gonna be another review I’ll be writing, stay tuned! Onto dinner: I got the salmon over rice with a side house salad. The salmon was delicious but the rice was under-cook. Salad was delicious with an oil and vinegar dressing. The salmon was not a normal typical one you find in the north. It was more of a white fish and not a typical pinkish/reddish color. The fish was still delicious. I had a $ 16 mojito, which was insanely expensive. It was a pretty good mojito but not worth $ 16. I will not be drinking from here anymore, unless its water with lemon. Also, I have to add this because it takes part of this place. When you call for room service, nobody picks up the phone. So, you have to waste your time and come downstairs to eat.

All I craved was a pretty giant cocktail to bring in my birthday so, we settled on this spot because as we walked past here… my 2 friends wanted the steak dinner for less than $ 15& my son enjoyed the lobster fettuccine for $ 17.95. And we all enjoyed the FREE round of shots for my birthday. The giant various flavor of fruity margaritas we ordered were ok, nothing major. The highlight of this place us you can sit right in the side of the sidewalk, people watch at crazy folks, lol & receive the freebies at the same time. I must say my son wanted the fettuccine the next day & my girls tore their steak dinner up!

The server is gonna try to sell you the foods on the menu that doesnt have a price on them hmmm. And dont ask for recommendation, they’r gonna sell you the most expensive ones, why? Becuz a 17% auto gratuity will be added to your bill, no matter how many parties on your table. Be careful! Look at the price on each one that you order. They’re kinda fishy and shady here!

Yesterday, My husband and I were in this area. We were thinking about grabbing some light lunch and drinks. Every places we walked by all the restaurants in Miami really push the sales hard. We weren’t sure which would be the best for us. Later, we decided to just take offered from a woman that she said she would gave us a free bottomless Mimosa at this restaurant. Our main reason was, were were tired of walking and searching the next restaurants time to time. Also, we saw a special deal on one menu when a place advertises cocktails 2-for-1 so we took on the offer. That woman(which I thought she was a host) she took us to a really nice seats which surround a beautifully decorated and very nice and clean design. But our night(day)mare what about to began. We got regular menus which were different than we saw. When we mentioned to the server, one server said we don’t have that type of the menu. So we mentioned her again then she said let me see and walked away. She returned to us later and gave us the special menu.(the special menu, most of the foods are only $ 9.50) Our server, she seemed unhappy to sell us the special menu instead she tried so hard to sell us on the other menu which no price on each item. when we asked she seemed like didn’t want to tell the exactly price on each single item. Sounds shady huh? We ended up ordered fried calamari(on regular menu) Two main dishes on the special menu; and two cocktails(we mentioned about the advertises 2for1) The server was nice but somehow I felt like something fishy. When we asked for the bill, she came up with cocktails to go for us. And both of us, said we didn’t ask for it but she said it was on the house. So I asked her back that Is it ok to carry out and drink on the street? She tried not to say but only just told us to hold inside the plastic bag all the time. Wowww… then I said No, thanks we don’t need them. When looked at our bill, it was almost $ 90 included 17%tip. For what we got, one appetizers, two dishes which $ 9.50/each and two cocktails(Now cocktails cost us almost $ 19/person and not as advertises 2 for 1). Hello? It was only me and my husband and you charged us for gratuity as well? what a warm welcome Miami! I told her that I would like to speak to the Manager. My husband and I said that it was unacceptance. She came back with adjusted bill and said just for this time, I took off something from the bill. I explained to her, the way she told us wasn’t quite right. My husband and I aren’t cheap customers. My family has three restaurants in SF and we are always make sure we leave generous tips. But from we had just experience here was kinda shady. When we mentioned about 2for1 deal you must better say«TWO(drinks)FORONEPRICEPERPERSON» by not saying or not answering the truth, mean you all are doing shady business. I also, mentioned about a host offered us bottomless mimosa and our server suddenly said she forgot to bring over to us. I told her nicely that we didn’t want it otherwise we would ask for it. On top of that, you already charged us 17%tip even though only two persons on the table. What a shame! You can only fooled us once, Bice at Hotel Victor!

We went for happy hour. The mojitos were good and prices were ok since it was happy hour. Nice area to sit and people watch. The space heaters were nice too. The area is touristy, but this place was ok. The server was kinda cheesy and over-enthusiastic. There is a gay bar in the next block that is highly entertaining. I wouldn’t go there outside happy hour, but we had a good evening!

The food was good. Yes it is on South Beach and EVERYTHING within blocks is a tourist trap as this place kind is BUT that does not mean that it was bad. I had 2 extra large mojitos that were wonderful and a paella. For a fast paella I thought it was good. We sat at the sidewalk tables and just enjoyed people watching. I would certainly go again for lunch.

From time to time, I like to indulge in a little bit of drinking so one day I decided to have an all day drinkfest and by the end of the night I ended up in South Beach starving and in dire need of something to eat. One reason or another the restaurant of choice was Bice Ristorante. As a part of the Hotel Victor, Bice Ristorante, is a typical South Beach restaurant yet beautifully decorated and elegant with some nice design elements. The bathrooms are really nice too! The staff is friendly and seeks to provide a pleasant dining experience but all that aside, Bice Ristorante is just another over priced South Beach restaurant. After a relatively short wait, the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp I ordered came out(I was starving and ready to dig in). The pasta itself was fine and the sauce was rich, creamy and cheesy, but once I bit into the first shrimp I realized the shrimp were not seasoned even with just a little bit of salt and pepper and there was no taste to be had what so ever. Actually the dish would have been better had it just been pasta and no shrimp, the shrimp left me disappointment. Ultimately, it wasn’t horrible but the price point far exceeds quality. I wouldn’t recommend this as a place to dine on the beach, but if your main focus is to be on Ocean Dr and people watch, it’s fine enough.

Like several people have mentioned, I would give this place ZERO stars if it was an option. Basically, it’s a tourist trap. Don’t fall for it. Sadly I didn’t have the common sense to consult Unilocal before getting suckered in. We were walking by, starving, and the«hawker» girl offered to buy us a round of shots and handed us a little card with the restaurants happy hour menu. Seemed reasonable enough and we were starving and just tired of walking at the point so we decided to take her up on the offer. The place itself is fine. Typical sidewalk and patio seating. Good place to sit and people watch as they stroll by your tables if you’re into that at all. Waited an eternity to get menus. Waited an eternity for waitress to appear and take our drink order. Waited an eternity to get our drink orders. Noticing a pattern? We reminded our server about the free shots and she offered like 3 or 4 different options. We made our choice… and NEVER got them. The server NEVER came by to offer me another drink. I literally sat at the table for an hour with no drink. no water. nothing. The food was delivered by someone other than our server. And she never came to check to see if everything was ok. Both our meals came with fries and we asked food runner for ketchup, anything really, and he said«OK», but we never got it. We waited forever to get our bill. And come to find out another runner of some sort had delivered our bill to the wrong table. But that’s what happens when your sever is not the one actually taking care of you. The food itself was way below average. And having been a waiter in a past life I usually NEVER tip poorly. I was going to this time. But lucky for them, the tip is already included when you get your bill. They have zero incentive to actually be good. Just do yourself a favor and walk on by this place.

This place is on Ocean Blvd and is okay. We stopped here because they were running a $ 5.99 happy hour special but I wasn’t interested in anything on the menu so I order the Avocado club Sandwich. It came with fries and was pretty good! However, the ranch dipping sauce was gross and a half! I ordered the Rum Runner for a drink and it was OK. I didn’t like that the banana taste was so poignant though. I liked our server because he was helpful when it came to the menu, In all of South Beach, this was one of the few places where we received good customer service.

Oh good grief… if I could give a place zero stars I would. We were a party of 10 but they said they could accomodate us right away. Three different staff members counted our chairs: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. We reminded them that we had 10 in our party and they all counted again then stared at each other. First sign. We sat down, got our menus. Waited waited waited. Our poor server tried to take our orders, he didn’t understand us very well and also doesn’t recognize the basic drink orders such as «gin and tonic». I said clearly, «the GREEN bottle». Sigh. They took our appetizer orders… we still sat with our menus. No sign of ordering entrees. The server struggled under the watchful eye of a creepy gargoylesque guy who was supposed to be training him, but just watched the poor guy flounder. Appetizers came… appetizers were eaten. we sat with menus… we sat some more. Someone came and took the menus away. We sat some more. My husband and another man in our group explained that it was customary to take our dinner order. Back came the menus. We tried to explain… but it was pointless. Finally a couple of the guys became very blunt and explained that we WANTEDTOEAT. The waiter took every other person’s order and walked away. I kid you not. Whoa buddy, come back… all 10 of us want to eat. OK… orders were taken… we’re only a couple hours into this now. Food arrived. My grouper was completely raw… and it’s not a fish served rare. One of the other’s in our party ordered grouper and it was done correctly. They took it back and after a very long time it returned but I wasn’t hungry by then so some of the guys shared it. What a freaking disaster this place is. Oh… and if you have to drag your customers in by claiming to have«the best food on South Beach», you probably don’t…because if you did, you wouldn’t have so many empty tables at 7:30 on a Saturday night.
