Rather spotty and uneven for a hotel of this caliber. Sadly, best part of the dining experience was the house bread. Given the price point, it failed to execute and impress. Big disappointment!

After learning that Bistro One was serving Brunch, we had to try it! To say the least, we were so happy we did! This endless brunch was right on point and the selection of items were exquisite! They have your traditional breakfast items to a caviar station, from oysters, stone crabs and shrimp, to a paella station and sushi and sashimi station! The mimosas, bloody Mary’s and prosecco flows through the entire brunch! Great service, as is to be expected at a Ritz-Carlton property. I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for brunch!

We don’t mind paying for a great restaurant location but that’s all I got. When I realized that the breakfast buffet had little options for vegans, just oatmeal and fruit, the waitress offered me the continental breakfast for $ 29 instead of $ 39. The rest of the buffet is primarily processed meats, cheeses, yoghurt bar and of course the usual omelets made to order. It was nice to have our own French Press coffee pot, and they did have options for soy or almond milk. Other than the lack of choices for vegans, the hotel was great and the bed was out of this world. I always love the Ritz.

The complimentary rosemary foccacia with roasted tomato tapenade is divine! We ordered the two ‘signature’ items from the lunch menu, the club sandwich and the nicoise salad, but I think other items are better. I really enjoyed the grouper ceviche. The reason you come here is to have perfectly acceptable food… served by the AWESOME pool scene. It’s CLASSIC south beach, with gorgeous beach views… but people watching is the real reason to visit! Worth it to watch everyone primp and preen by the pool… and those astro-turf cabanas are just a giggle!

This review is for the last Sunday brunch of 2014. Very wide selection throughout the restaurant. The Seafood spread was fresh and prepared well except they didn’t have any stone crab from what I’ve read and been told. The carving station had petite filet mignon, lamb chops, prime rib, etc. They also had breakfast foods that I didn’t try. A caviar station was alright but not great. I would really give them a 4.5 stars for great quality and selection of food. They even had seafood paella! It is at the Ritz, so you will pay quite a bit. We paid $ 115/person not including drinks! I felt I would get same quality food for cheaper at luxury hotel buffets in Las Vegas.

My boyfriend and I came to South Beach for vacation, and went here for dinner and had such a great experience we went back a second time. First– the bread — oh, the bread! They served a delightful rosemary focaccia, hot from the oven, with a sundried tomato spread. For dinner I ordered the spinach salad with a beautifully caramelized slice of goat cheese, mustard vinaigrette, candied pecans, and red-wine-poached pears, with grilled salmon on top. The salmon was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend ordered the crispy shrimp and he enjoyed those as well. For dessert we ordered the signature valronha chocolate cake, which was nice, but I’ve had better… Some reviewers complained about the prices. While this place is pricey, it isn’t anything unexpected given this place is situated at the Ritz Carlton in South Beach. Also, having worked in an upscale hotel restaurants myself and having dined at comparable resorts I understand the auto gratuity practice– particularly in a hotel with many international patrons who may be unfamiliar with tipping practices. Overall, compared to the other restaurants we went to on south beach, which were way overpriced for mediocre food, this place was a home run for us and we’d return again on our next trip to south beach.

Terrible service and salty steak. We had to send one of the steaks back because it wasn’t cooked as ordered. It never came out until the rest of the entrées were finished; the server was non-existent. I had to flag down the manager to get attention. They didn’t even offer to take it off the bill. If you want a good steak on South Beach, this is not it — go to Prime 112, Prime Italian, STK, BLT. You will get much better service and food quality for the same price or less.

Best Brunch in South Beach. This is in The Ritz. Cost for 4 of us including drinks $ 518.00. The selection was fantastic. You can get just about anything, Crab Claws, Shrimp, Salmon, Sushi, Oysters, mimosa, Chicken & Pork Sausage, 5 Cold Salad dishes, Breads of all kinds, Omelets made to your liking, and so much more I could not eat. Oh almost forgot. Desert Anyone, if yo have a sweet tooth you will love this, Mini Cakes, Cheesecakes, Carrot, and a few more. Also mini cookies and a Chocolate fountain for dipping you Pineapple, Strawberry, Cookie, or marshmallow. The service was top notch, it is The Ritz ! Great view of the pool side, this is not the beach restaurant, the do have that below this one. Everything about this brunch was excellent. The staff was very friendly and always acknowledged you if you were near them with a smile. They opened the door for you when you had 2 or more plates of food, even if you had one. Always a full glass of water. The plates were collected when you went up for another round. Primo Service ! The price per person was $ 100.00 plus drinks. After all it is South Beach !

Went here for NYE and found — unexpectedly — a very disorganised management which left us sitting at a table with little to no attention. The waiter was lovely and tried his best — but that was the problem, there was only one waiter. The food was good but not on par with Ritz or matching how expensive it was(which ended up being excessive, cost to quality/value ratio). Poor organisation overall and lack of good enough service, on top of having our 2nd course missed entirely off a fixed 4th course menu. Very disappointed.

Great hotel restaurant the seared chicken for lunch was really good The bread they serve is one of the best breads I’ve ever tasted and the sub dried dipping sauce was great. The vodka lemonade cocktail was really delicious too.

The food was good and the outdoor seating is so nice in the mild weather of Miami. Cost of everything here is high and especially the wine. A selection I purchased at Keife & Co. for $ 16.00 and that generally sells for $ 18.00 per bottle was on the menu for $ 64.00. A major distraction for me at this re hotel other restaurants is an automatic 18% gratuity added to your bill. I must say that all service received was well worth the added charge. In fact I would have tipped no less than 20%. But the add on no matter the size of the party is a turn off for me. Overall a nice place to visit and nothing negative to report. But just not a place that I am planning on returning too in the future.

We had a very nice NYE dinner here — the chef prepared a special entirely vegetarian menu for us. The salad and soup were regular ingredients but well executed. The pasta and vegetables just were a plate of steamed veggies umm for a lot of money. The atmosphere was good and it was NYE so I guess it is what it is.

This place is fair at best. Came here for a double date a few weeks ago and the food was just okay. I’m a little behind but we were here for Miami Spice. The appetizers were okay. The entrees were descent and the desert was horrible. I needed an ice pick to eat it, it was so hard. But the service was good. There was no one there and it was a Friday night which made the atmosphere a bit off. We sat by the pool and were way over dressed for a «dressy» place. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend or come back. I just expected something super fancy and delicious.

Staying at the Ritz for a relaxing evening with my wife, we decided to «stay in» and have dinner at the hotel restaurant — Bistro One. Formerly run by a Top Chef contestant, this bistro is now merely one more restaurant in a string of hotel restaurants in SoBe. But don’t let that fool you: the food was solidly four stars, with well made food, perfectly paired flavors, and an interesting menu. The cocktail list is impressive, and my wife’s vodka, simple syrup, mango, and ginger(thinly sliced) cocktail was out of this world! My glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was light and fresh, and the waiter brought the bottle over and gave me an extra solid pour(nice!). We started with 6 raw oysters, served with a granita(flavored ice) and a terrific mignonette. Next we shared the grilled octopus; delicious pieces of tender octopus with small bites of potatoes and avocados — yum! For a main course, we shared the seafood stew — a cioppino in a rich, semi-spicy broth, with two very large shrimp(head intact), fish, and nicely seared scallops. It was perfect to share, and we lapped up the broth like soup. Despite some initial slowness of service(despite guests at only two other tables), and some lack of follow up with us, the experience was relaxing and enjoyable(we sat outside next to a space heater). A solid place for dinner, without a doubt.

I came here for some drinks and a bite to eat with my son and spouse. We had outdoor seating poolside and it was lovely. The service, of course, was impeccable. I ordered some mango tango margarita, and my hubby his usual martini. Just fab. We ordered calamari, tuna tartar, and desserts– tiramisu and chocolate lava cake. The calamari was nice but it was better at Ceviche 105. The tuna tartar was fresh and perfect(with grapefruit and red onions). The desserts were ok in flavor but the presentation was beautiful. Since my son was with us, they had a separate menu for him AND they provided him with an etch-a-sketch to play with which was a very nice touch.

When I think of Ritz Carleton, I think fancy, fancy, fancy. So I was happy to find a champagne lunch buffet for $ 30/person for our first day in Miami. Maybe I was let down because it wasn’t on the beach. The restaurant itself wasn’t that nice. You’re actually sitting kind of near the swimming pool. You can’t see a view of the ocean or beach or anything. The buffet didn’t have a bunch of things. Maybe under 10 items, with bacon, sausages, eggs, fingerling potatoes, and bread. The croissant was seriously the best I ever had though. I ate 3 of them even. :(And the chicken sausages were pretty good. I don’t know if I’d go back or not… it’s not THAT good. I know I didn’t drink/eat $ 30 worth… it might have been more worth it to just order from the menu instead of doing the buffet. But all you can drink… c’mon. :) I’d give it more stars if the view/ambience is better.
