This place is awful! I’m trying to figure out what folks saw in this place to give it 4 or 5 stars. First we arrived and we weren’t seated, but instead told to to look at the menu and order at the register. The girl at the register seemed not to understand English well and seemed to be unfamiliar with the register. We ordered 2 $ 13 breakfasts and two ice teas and the bill was $ 44. We asked why was it so high. We were told it was because they included an 18% gratuity. Eighteen percent? Nobody waited our table, we ordered from a register like McDonald’s! I ordered eggs over easy, that came with bacon, hash browns and toast. When my food came out the eggs were cooked until they were brown all over and hard. The bacon was completely burnt. I should have taken a picture, but I was shocked that the food came out of the kitchen like that. I asked the waiter to replace my eggs which he wasn’t shocked by and even suggested replacing the burnt bacon to which I concurred. The replacement food came out with a better appearance, but it didn’t taste good. The hash browns were some weird combination of potatoes, carrots and onions. After drinking my murky, tasteless ice tea, I got down as much of my $ 22 breakfast as did my fiancé and we left hungry and completely dissatisfied. The wait staff was marginally friendly.

Only pro here was you get a free mimosa when you check in on Unilocal.Had chicken & waffles priced at $ 16 and wasn’t even a full waffle. Just two triangles in a basket w/pieces of chicken. There’s better chicken & waffles on south beach. Not worth it

You must try the avocado toast, there is no way you won’t love it. We shared it between two people as an appetizer but could’ve been shared 3 way. Also tried the lobster roll and omelette, both yummy. The free mimosa for checking in had a generous serving if quality champagne. Thumbs up Sunny’s!

Best breakfast of the whole holiday!!! Would 100% recommend — had the avocado toast and topped it off with a poached egg and a ‘bite me’ cocktail. Absolutely gorgeous and still pretty healthy at the same time. A little pricey but much cheaper than the majority of places in the area and service was great.

Absolute BEST bar service I have ever had!!! Crystal and Chino will NOT steer you wrong. They were helpful, attentive, and inventive. If you’re looking for a good drink, this is the place to go!

Hidden gem. I would have gone here every day for breakfast. The breakfast bowl I had was incredible and fresh. I had bottomless mimosas for $ 25 which they kept flowing. There isn’t any service per set because you order and pick up your food at the bar area, but we still had servers clear our plates and refill our glasses which was great. The short ribs were superb and the dutch baby was good but a little under cooked. Again I’d like to have tried the bagel with lox and white fish and all of the other breakfast bowls.

Sweet memories of the Yucatan. Egg-cellent Chilaquiles, perfectly crafted with a balance of all the flavor and texture required of the best Mexican dish on the planet. Pineapple Express is a delicious detox juice in the AM and just as delicious as a PM cocktail with tequila added. Thank you Martin, Chef Mike, Amira, Spike and all staff for your warm smiles and welcoming nature. Your friendly neighbor, L

I’ve really been dying to check this place out for a while. I’ve read the reviews here and they seemed pretty mixed. I’m gonna attribute it to possible growing pains because after finally enjoying breakfast here I’m a huge fan. We arrived on a Friday morning at 9, so we were the only patrons. The service is a little strange — the menu reads like a sit down restaurant and the tables are set up as such, but you order at a counter and your orders are delivered to your table. THREEDIFFERENTTYPESOFAVOCADOTOAST. I opted for the original while my friend got the buratta. All were served on zak the baker bread and tasted light, fresh, and scrumptious. Our fellow diners got the eggs with short rib and Chicjen and waffles. Everyone at our table raved about their food. I can not wait to go back!

The food was excellent. A great bang for your buck. I ordered the Dawn patrol for $ 14. It came with eggs choice of bread potatoes. And choice of meat. It was delicious. They also have unlimited mimosas for an additional $ 25. The servers were very kind and prompt.

Sunny’s had been publicized a lot on Instagram, so I was inclined to check it out. Unfortunately, I think I came at a time when they became very busy because parts of the meal were great, but parts were disappointing. I loved the avocado toast with burrata and it was very refreshing on a hot day. With Unilocal check in, you can get a free mimosa, and it was huge and very tasty. I was pleased with this and excited for what was to come. We ordered the stone crab eggs benedict, which was good, but I have had better. However, it is very rare to find a dish like this, so it is worth trying. We were very excited about the burger with bacon, cheese, a brioche bun, and a pineapple flavored sauce. Unfortunately, the burger was burnt, which took away from a lot of the flavor in my opinion. The center was good, but the burnt edges made it so the embers were all I could focus on. I was disappointed as I had really been looking forward to it. They decorate the outdoor area very nicely so you definitely feel like you’re on vacation. It’s colorful, the staff are friendly. and there’s plenty of shade for those who don’t want to feel overheated. I would be willing to give Sunny’s a second chance because I think if the burger had been cooked correctly, it would’ve been very good.

Such an amazing place! I got the acai bowl, coffee, OJ and a mimosa. The staff was friendly — the service was fast. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and South Beach feel. I would definitely come back to this place!

Very cute décor and good atmosphere. Was a bit expensive although the servings were large. I had the omelette which was good and friend had the dawn something. The staff were great but the manager looking woman needs to learn how to smile she looked like she was the security.

Update: So because of the great experience I had the day before I bring my friend to Sunny’s the next day. We order and get out our receipts and the math isn’t right based on what the menu prices show. So the cashier goes and grabs the manager Ashley. Apparently, prices have changed but 75% of their menus don’t reflect the new prices. The Manager, Ashley, unapologetically and unsympathetically, says she can’t do anything. REALLY?! Sooooo, you can’t give us free mimosas or a discount or even a fresh drink to make up for this?! This is probably one of the main reasons dining sucks in Miami. The automatic gratuity that they barely have to work for and the bad customer service. Ashley is the reason I will not be back. The cashier Alan(name on my receipt) was super helpful! He’s manager material and the only reason I’m giving 4 stars… and the food is good despite this little situation I’m on a much needed vacation from work and decided to try Sunny’s based on the Unilocal reviews. I really want to come to try some of their fresh juices. I ended up ordering Dawn Patrol breakfast which was delicious! The thick cut bacon and the medley of potatoes and veggies was delicious! I also checked into Unilocal to get the free Mimosa, yum! I also got one of their juices, the kale one, and it was delicious! I highly recommend Sonny’s as one of your breakfast spots while in Miami on vacation. You won’t be disappointed :)

Dear Chef, You rock!!! The deeply complex and layers of flavors you’ve got going on here are absolutely wonderful. I am sold and super happy we are staying at The Hall in order to eat multiple meals here. The beef salad alone has sweet, sour, spicy, tangy, salty, and bitter in a good way tastes. I didn’t realize the dish would be like eating Ayurvedic food but it’s damn close. I would eat this salad every day if I could, and the raw Thai chiles make this soooo good. The tacos are also delicious, they have fried avocado in them which I’ve never had before and loved. The whole dish is pretty perfect, and I eat street tacos regularly in San Diego so I am right about this. Also, the side of corn is also very worth it. My sister said«I pity the fool who never tries this corn.» That’s exactly how I feel too. Just to be healthy, we had a kale green juice too, also delicious. All in all, I am very happy to be here right now so thank you for being this great!!!

Very good! The cocktails are themed and really fun. The food was all amazing, not one thing I would critique. We saw someone else did the travelzoo coupon so we did it too, $ 39 for $ 75 worth of food and drink. The only reason for my 4, not 5 star rating was the service. When we sat down we were given menus for breakfast and lunch. Then when we went to order, we were told that we could only order sandwiches from the lunch menu, nothing else. That would have been useful information before we read the menu for 10 minutes. Oh well no biggie. The food came fast, and in the order we asked for. We did the crab avocado toast, burger, and chicken and waffles. Everything was delicious. Once we had our food, no one really cared about us too much. No one asked us how the food was, we were sitting at the bar right in front of staff. I got halfway through my meal and had to stop eating because the two bartenders were preoccupied and wouldn’t refill my water, or ask if I needed another cocktail. They were kinda busy, but more importantly they were entering a shift change and were more busy doing side work and looking annoyed at each other. We eventually got their attention and got some more water and cocktails. They were friendly, just a little more lax than you expect at new chef inspired restaurant. I know I can be a little harsh on my ratings when it comes to service, but it comes with being in the business.

Sunny’s is a hot new restaurant located in «The Hall» hotel in South Beach, Miami. I ordered the Omelet with Seasonal Veggies and Goat Cheese. No joke when I say the omelet was amazing. The portion was large with very fresh seasonal veggies and a touch of gourmet. Opened for less than a month at the time of my visit in January 2016. Few kinks to work out over time(i.e. service), but nothing that would detract from the deliciousness of the food. Free mimosa with Unilocal check in. Woot Woot! ENJOY!

Nice little spot with outdoor bar and friendly service. Super healthy and creative menu– fresh juices, cocktails and food. I had a juice blended with local coffee, and the Aloha tacos. Both were great! Reasonably priced for this area of South Beach.

Hurry and get the Travelzoo voucher while it’s available! Well executed, uncontrived food and friendly service, both a rarity in Miami. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the lack of veg options. Outdoor seating is available by the juice bar, although you won’t have much of a view. We sat in the small lounge area, closed off from the hotel lobby, with a funky sort of 20’s feel and a chill playlist. The craft cocktail list is short but very creative. Half of the items I can’t pronounce nor have I heard of them. It would be fun to try them all, but we went the healthy route and ordered from the juice bar(available all day). Ginger, Turmeric and Beet Root shot for $ 4 was just what the doctor ordered. The food came out incredibly fast, and everything was ooh aah yummy. * Arancini — breaded and fried rice balls stuffed with mozzarella. Scrumptious and didn’t need the honey mustard dipping sauce but it was great. * Fried avocado tacos with sautéed onions and cotija cheese– so good that the BF didn’t even realize there was no meat or fish in them. Awesome. * Grilled octopus with shaved fennel and mint salad. They braise the octopus for three hours before they throw it on the grill. The most tender octopus I’ve had. I usually don’t like mint in my food, but this was super delicious and somehow worked really well together. * Ahi tuna poke with avocado on top of coconut rice– big portion with lots of tuna. It was almost too much tuna, because the coconut rice on the bottom was so darn good that I couldn’t wait to get to it. Had to avoid the desserts due to my wheat intolerance, but the smoothie bowls from the juice bar are available all day, so I got the acai bowl. It took a while to make, and I’ve definitely had better. They give you a big portion of acai purée but not enough toppings, so you’re just spooning slush without much texture. The topping to purée ratio is way off. I’d like lots more crunch and fruit. Overall a cool spot that’s worth a visit. 16th street parking garage is a block away if you’re driving. Wish they added more veggie options.
