Cantina 27

I got pepperoni pizza which was ok (but just pepperoni– what could I have expected) but my husband for the pizza with the arugula and prosciutto and it was unbelievable. The Terre Del Barolo wine was great and a very decent price. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly.

Randomly found this restaurant with my friends on our way back to our hotel and let me tell you, it was great! No one was really in there and the owner made sure that we understood the menu and payed attention to us the whole time. Very friendly and engaged in conversations with us which made the experience much better. The food is to die for! Very well presented as well. I would come back here again, it’s a must.

Das erste Mal in Miami Beach, kehrten wir zufälligerweise hier ein und waren wirklich überrascht. Eine wirklich hervorragende Qualität italienischer Küche. Sowohl die Pizza, als auch die Nudeln (Ravioli mit Rindfleisch) waren beste Qualität und authentisch.
Auch die nette Bedienung war super. Die Portionsgrößen waren für amerikanische Verhältnisse allerdings klein, was einen Stern Abzug gibt.

Great food!
I ate there many times. All the dishes I had were good. The portions are decent, but some dishes are a little small.
The food tastes good and the service is good as well. You don’t have to wait forever to get your food.
This is a perfect go to, if you’re not sure where to eat. You can count on this place for a solid meal if you need to make a decision quickly.

We absolutely enjoyed it. Sat outside along Collins Street and enjoyed the soft music. We ordered: Lasagna Carne, Gnocchi, Ragout Carne and a Margarita Pizza. Wish we had time to come back before we leave town tomorrow.

Great service, affordable prices, and excellent food! I would highly recommend the gnocchi and the bruschetta classica. We will be back again numerous times.

The food was mediocre. The servers seem kind but the language barrier makes it extremely difficult to order. Servers also didn’t know the menu well. I came with a group of six and was told we could not split our checks. My friends pasta had shrimp in it and they failed to remove the tails. Not worth the money.

Wow. So glad we found this place. We walked past some ladies eating pasta and knew we had to get it. Momma Mia it was good.
We ordered the pesto pasta and the pomodoro pasta. Giuseppe was our waiter. He was kind and funny and very professional.

Came here after reading many good reviews on Unilocal.Our group had all seafood and pasta dishes. Everything was incredibly fresh!!! The seafood tasted like it was just caught and the pasta was fresh and homemade. We had the nicest waitress Sarah. She recommended a great appetizer. Absolutely worth every penny! Please do ask for Sarah as she was such a friendly person. We did go for a dessert after our meal and I believe that it was fresh and homemade as well.

Food was ok, tasty but nothing special. Service was horrible, never got oh water and it took for ever to get the check. Many other good restaurants in the area, if you can, skip this one.

If you are tired of hamburgers and want real Italian food welcome to Canteen27. It’s one of a very few places in Miami with normal prices, great menu and a variety of healthy and tasty food.
They have seafood and meet, highly recommend to try their traditional wine (picture included or just ask a waitress) and certainly really healthy salads. If you home after 6pm it’s better to make a reservation.

The service from a gentlemen from named Andrea and a young lady Brazilian Sarah. Was excellent.
For starters most of the food was homemade and so flavorful and I think each one of us would have gladly eaten al of dishes on our own.
For the pasta, we got the lasagna and the pizza. Both were
delicious and highly recommended. Doesn’t seem like you can really go wrong here!

I had heard good things about Cantina 27, and I finally had a chance to have dinner there recently with my mom, who was visiting for Christmas and staying at a hotel nearby.
This strip of mid beach Collins Avenue has really matured nicely, with some nice new hotels, but still not many dining options.
The space is clean and airy with a wall of windows facing the street and portraits of Sinatra and Brando on the walls.
We shared a generous arrugula salad, and then each had homemade pasta dishes which were exceptional, and a few glasses of Italian wine.
Our server Gerardo was extremely pleasant and professional. Actually, I think we’re going back tonight to try their pizza if they’re open.

Very disappointed tonight at Cantina 27. The service was nonexistent. They were very busy, especially considering it was Monday, but I would think that they would realize that the week before Christmas would see a lot of tourists. The people next to us never received water or any drinks period. The wife went up to the bar to get a glass and pulled water out of her bag. They received their bread when they had finished their pizza. Outrageous!
We never saw our waiter after we placed our order. He never asked if our food was okay. I had to wave my hand several times to get more water. They only brought our check after they ran out of tables while I was waving my hand again and they happened to notice me.
Another reviewer wrote that the pizza seemed to be a frozen pizza with added ingredients. Well… not much better than that for sure. Last year we had a wonderful meal here. Too bad they haven’t kept up.

My friend and I came here because it was close by, and she hadn’t eaten anything practically the whole day. Cantina 27 is an italian restaurant with the vibe that you are eating in someone’s house. We were in very close quarters, and my friend said the bathroom light had an issue, lol
We ordered and shared the lasagna. It was just ok. Nothing to really write home about. You get bread and packaged breadsticks (the crispy kind) to go with your meal. I ordered a spinach salad as well and it was good.
They served their purpose, but I don’t have to return.

Tried this place because it was near by. Placed an order for pick up. When i returned to my hotel I was/​am shocked by how small the portion of lasagna is, not to mention how tasteless. And it was $ 19.00!!! I feel totally taken advantage of. Ive had better lasagna in high school cafeterias.
My friends were also very disappointed by their Milanese dim Pollo. And the cans of soda for $ 4.00 are also completely outrageous.
This place is a total rip off. Some of the worst Italian food I’ve ever had.

Auch wir wollten nicht mehr weit laufen und hatten die Speisekarte gesehen und haben unsere Entscheidung nicht bereut. Der Salt als Vorspeise war gut angerichtet und frisch. Die Pizza war lecker und der Service sehr zuvorkommend. Für einen Nachtisch hatten wir leider keinen Platz mehr. Lieben Dank an das Team!

We stayed in Miami one night prior to a trip to South America, we had decided to stay on Miami Beach but got in so late that we couldn’t do the whole «tourists trying Cuban food thing» since the Cuban restaurants had closed by then. We opted to go to Cantina 27 and it was a great choice.
The restaurant is authentic Italian and all the food is made from scratch. I ordered the spinach ravioli which was amazing and we had a bruschetta as an appetizer. The bruschetta had fresh roasted tomato as well as fresh buratta cheese and basil, very basic but tasted amazing.
The most amazing part of our meal was our server, Giuseppe. He seated us inside then we had a change of mind and, without missing a beat, he moved all of our plates and drinks outside. We had a lot of questions about the menu choices and he answered them effortlessly. Great service enhances the dining experience, Giuseppe not only met expectations, he blew them out of the water. By the time a question or request had finished crossing my mind, he was already there making sure all of our needs were met. What more can I say about our server other than it was the best service I had gotten in a long while. If you go here, ask for Giuseppe, you will not be disappointed.
Outside seating is nice, weather permitting, and there isn’t a dress code or anything like that. I would recommend this place to any Italian food lover. Great food… great service.

I gave this place 5 stars because the service was wonderful. The second we stepped foot into the restaurant, they greeted us promptly with a smile. There were quite a few people eating there so it was a good sign. Our food was tasty and very authentic. I loved the classic bruschetta. Would definitely come again when I’m back in town and try other things on the menu.

It was our first time in Miami Beach, FL and we decided to try a local Italian Restaurant called Cantina 27.
From the entrance, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Knowing that it was our first time in the area, the server did an amazing job just engaging with us and explaining all the local things to do. I would give an A+ to the server and the staff for all the excellent job.
The food that we ordered were Linguine al Pesto with Shrimp (added) and Prosciutto e Funghi with pepperoni (added). Let me just say that they were both very delicious! I especially liked the traditional pesto sauce on the homemade pasta, which was balanced very well with the shrimp. The pizza was very good too.
We also received a complementary moscato on the house, which went perfectly with the pasta. The server stated that it was a treat for us visiting Miami.
With great food and excellent service, I would definitely recommend this place if you want to sit in a cozy Italian restaurant with tasty food.

This is an unprepossessing little restaurant at Collins and 27^th, about 10 blocks north of the heart of South Beach. That’s a plus for us, though, and the food can’t be beat. Excellent fresh pasta made in house that day. Fresh seafood and produce. Delicate sauces. We stumbled on it on the second night of a four night vacation and rearranged our plans to come back on our last night in town.
Do yourself a favor and find this restaurant.

Restaurant fuss läufig zu unserem Hotel gelegen und wir hatten Lust auf Pasta. Da auch draußen Tische standen und die Preise durchschnittlich waren, sind wir hier eingekehrt. Bedienung sehr freundlich und bemüht, aber dass man Wein nachschenkt, ist wohl nicht geläufig. Essen zu fad und zu wenig für den Preis. Allenfalls eine Kinderportion.
Daher trotz guter Musik nicht weiter zu empfehlen.
