Great spot to get your haircut. Best on South Beach, in my experience. This may be the only authentic barber shop on the beach, for that matter. Bunch of good guys work here who know what to do with the scissors.

terrible. used to have a guy here(mitch) who was barely marginal(for the beach that is star quality!). he left. now they’ve devolved into truly awful. ‘mack’ did me this month and he has never trained anywhere, did not know how to cut, made a complete mess of it, and talked about sports throughout. just terrible. oh, they’ve raised their prices too! welcome to sobe

Uh, don’t bother. They don’t. I made an appointment with«Mack» last week for a 9:30 appointment this morning. I arrived there at 9:25, to a locked door. I sat outside for 25 minutes waiting, as 3 other potential customers did as well. I left at 9:50, still no sign of «Mack» or anyone else in the place. Typical South Beach BS service.

Was in miami on vacay and needed a cut late night. Not only did Hector take his time, but gave me the freshest cut i’ve had in a while. Friendly guys that’ll take care of you. Wish they were in NY.

I moved to Miami recently and was very apprehensive about finding a new barber. That being said, when I look for a barber shop I feel out the environment which ofcourse is comprised of the clientele, the barbers, décor, etc. I had visited another barber shop near 8th st. and it wasn’t quite my vibe. This place on the other hand was perfect. What makes it so perfect? It’s simplicity. It’s a plain Jane barber shop with barbers carrying years of experience under their belt. It’s friendly, inviting, inexpensive and quick. It’s an older crowd. Best of all, it’s not rowdy so you needn’t worry about profanities being thrown around or people yelling at each other. I’m sold after my first experience. I’ve found my new barber shop :-) PS. What’s very cool is the café right next door. If you have to wait, atleast you can do so while grabbing something and hanging out at one of the tables out by the store front.

If your under 40 dont go here. Terms like a «edge up» are unknown. this is where u take your dad or Grand Father. Ok fade and no edge skills whatsoever

I’m nervous to write a positive review, because then I won’t be able to get an appointment anymore. This place is a nice barber shop, but I go to Eddie. He has been cutting hair in Miami Beach for decades. Eddie is the man!

Coming from out of town its always stressful to find a place to get your hair cut, I was in miami beach for three weeks so I needed a few cuts in a time that long. After a bad experience at Sloane Square I decided to give Gonzalez barber shop a try. I’m really glad I did. I got a great cut from Hector(I think) and didn’t have to wait. He took lots of time cutting my hair and did exactly what I asked for. Probably the best $ 15 haircut I’ve ever had. It’s a very simple shop, and don’t offer alot of services, but thats ok since they do one thing and one thing very well; cut hair. Two thumbs up! This shop is a little out of the way as far as the miami beach tourist walking area goes, but it’s not hard to get to, there is a deco bike station around the corner in front of the super market.

I am always worried about having to go to someone other than my barber but due to business I had to go here. Very pleased! Great place good people and he faded well…

Great experience. Conversational barbers so you can learn about good places to go in the city if your from out of town. Ask for Walter. The guy is highly talented and great people skills.

Ok cut but the slowest cut I have ever had. I was passed over twice by «friends» of the barbers. Save your time and go somewhere else!

I always get anxious when I go to a new place for a hair cut. For some reason, it always falls on me to give them detailed instructions with mixed results. As soon as I got seated in this place, I new I was in good hands. The barber, Hector, was not only super cool and polite but was really helpful in helping me explain what I wanted. He gave me options and references and was really patient, checking with me at every step. The end result? One of the best hair cuts I’ve ever had. All under $ 20 and within the half hour. This place is a classic professional establishment. It was not only a fantastic haircut but a phenomenal over all experience. I will never cut my hair anywhere else! PS: They only take cash

Awesome! Was expecting a haircut and got the old-school experience. Friendly, efficient and masters at their craft. Haven’t gotten a haircut like that in 25 years. Well done! Highly recommend!

Outstanding old-school barber shop. Good quality cuts for very reasonable rates($ 20 incl. tip). The guys here speak English as well as Espanol, which is not always the case here in SoBe. They cut your hair the way you want it, not the one-style-fits-all buzzing one often gets in this town. I have tried almost every barbershop on the beach, but never looked at another one once I started coming here.
