Hoshi & Sushi

On three day stop in Miami. Were very lucky to find Hoshi Sushi a stone’s throw away from our condo. We asked for a selection of recommendations and were totally delighted. The chef prepared a selection of scrumptious dishes, covering traditional as well as contemporary style sushi. Tempura followed, topped off with Korean style beef and rice. Wonderful combination. We had some space left for a desert of tempura ice cream and house doughnuts (best I have had in a long time — a real treat!). The waiter was extremely courteous and helpful throughout. The chef came to the table for a chat, which shows the personal touch. To round it off, the selection of beers and sake and pop for the kids is great as well. Very nice experience!

The food here was amazing! I jad the hoshi and sushi platter and it came with alot of pieces for the price. I paired it with the seaweed salad that was simply delicious. The waiter was attentive and answered all of our questions and gave really good suggestions. He suggested fresh made donuts and they were the best thing ive ever eaten. The restaurant was a bit hard to find since its inside a hotel and valet parking is mandatory but its only $ 3 so dont let that turn you away

Quiet, unpretentious, friendly service, family friendly, and fantastic sushi!!! Our waiter was so kind and patient with our two kids. We ordered various rolls and sashimi, and they put it in the sushi boat for our 5 year old’s enjoyment. Don’t come here if you want a fancy experience or a SoBe night out. But do come here if you’re a local looking for good food and calm vibes. Parking with validation at the restaurant is a flat $ 3. And the Thai donuts are delish! Warm and just the right amount of sugar!

This was by far the best sushi I have ever eaten in my life. You must come or you are missing out. HINT: It is tucked away behind the front entrance of the condominiums!!! Also, George (our waiter) is absolutely amazing, so personable and showed us the best on the menu (not to up sell but to show us the freshest and most exquisite sushi/​appetizer/​saki that God’s green earth has to offer). Prices of sushi and apps are extremely reasonable (2.95−14.95 $) with saki starting at FOUR DOLLARS (as opposed to Nobu the restaurant of our hotel with bottles starting at 60 $ and horrible ratings). We will definitely be returning: D

Shrimp tempura
Lychee Sake
Thai donuts
We had loads of food, beers and sake and it was under $ 100 for two!!!

This is the best sushi in Miami Beach! The signature rolls are delicious– the Godfather Roll rocks! The Lychee sake is sublime. The service is friendly and fast. The prices are reasonable. The chef took the time to come to our table and see how everything was. Everything was delectable! We’ll be making this a permanent weekly spot.

Great service. Difficult to find as it is located in the Carriage House Hotel. Parking is discounted to $ 3 with a restaurant validated ticket.

The service was great. We started with a Leche and a lemon drop sake martini. Both good cocktails. We followed our waiters recommendation and got the shrimp appetizer. It was delicious. Shared the hoshi sushi and sashimi boat for two and a godfather roll. All of which were very good and left us satisfied. Finished with the Thai donuts which came with ice cream, a glaze and whipped cream, leaving us with that amazing full feeling. Overall a great dining experience for a very reasonable price.

This place is inside the carriage house apts… the lobby itself is outdated and depressing but the restaurant is decorated great. Food was deeeeeelish– I recommend the no name roll, happy jalapeño, and salmon skin… we had a fourth that was yum but I can’t remember the name. Food was fresh and nicely presented. Staff service was A+…not so easy to find on the beach. This place will certainly succeed if people can get past the fluorescent lobby lighting and depressing décor.

Well my friends in here they don’t only have great sushi but also friendly helpful service … The price is very fair and the dessert was the cherry on top! Thai donuts baby yes you read it right, it’s a must …
Also ask for a sashimi plater choice of the chef, that’s the way to go you see !
Anyway one last thing the background music it lots of fun …

Great new sushi place in Miami! Came here because I saw the Unilocal reviews. Started off with the house salad with ginger dressing and the crab avocado salad, both were satisfying! My friend got the miso soup and she said it was delicious. I got the spicy tuna roll and god father roll, the God father roll was my favorite. For dessert I got the tempura ice cream and my friend got the donuts, they were so sweet and perfect to end the meal.
I ordered the sakito (sake mojito) and my friend got wine which was part of 2 for 1 happy hour. Our server George was so welcoming and positive and it was only his fourth day on the job! The chef came out to take our order while George was making the drinks and he was very accommodating with any changes we wanted to make (ie spicy crab instead of spicy tuna). The ambiance was very welcoming and modern. Coming in during March madness it was great to be able to watch the games.
Overall, the food was good and very reasonably priced and the staff was always tending to our needs.

I have to give this place a five star for many reasons, first off the chef is excellent at what he does
Ordered 5 rolls and house salad with ginger dressing, I have eaten at many many sushi restaurants never had ginger dressing that tasted so good I wanted to lick the bowl «seriously»
And the selections of rolls on their menu was rolls I have never seen it tasted the God Father rolls. Was so very good. Seriously I will go home wishing they were near by my home. Too bad Ilive so far away.

Con Unilocal tienes la posibilidad de revisar la seccion de HOT NEW RESTAURANTS y en el encontre a Hoshi &. El restaurante queda dentro de un condominio residencial de la playa y este cuenta con servicio de valet (no hay opcion de parqueo distinto). El valet parking tiene valor de 5 dolares pero si se registra el tiquete de compra del restaurante queda en 3 dolares. Se debe llevar efectivo pues no aceptan tarjetas.
El restaurante queda en el primer piso del condominio, en un ambiente relajado e informal. Yo me sente en la seccion del comedor pero pude darme cuenta que tambien existe una seccion para sentarse en la zona donde preparan sushi.
Durante el horario de almuerzo manejan la carta normal y una adicional exclusiva en este horario (11:30 am — 3 pm).
Pedi un bento box de carne de res teriyaki y en ella viene un california roll, unos tallarines y un zuchini apanado. La comida fue muy buena y el precio es muy comodo (9 dolares redondeando).
La experiencia fue muy buena y ahora quiero volver a probar su sushi. Por cierto tambien cuentan con servicio a domicilio!!!
