I don’t write reviews often, but need to for dinner last night. It was one of the best Italian dinners I have had. I had the Fish Pasta Special and it was great. Lobster and five other fish, it was enough for two or more. And the service was great. Dinner outside was perfect.

Single handedly the worst meal and service I’ve experienced in a looooong time. Menu looked tasty so we walked in, should have checked Unilocal first. After we put our orders in we waited over 10 minutes to get the bread she said was on the way. It came with no butter or oil so we asked our waitress for some. I couldn’t even finish the sentence before she walked away. 10 minutes still no butter no oil. At that point I should have just got up and walked away. But alas the food finally came. Our entrees looked like something off the kids menu. The fettuccini was actually just egg noodles with butter and garlic. The reason that it took so long is because they had to overcook the chicken. The carbonara was sauce and limp bacon. She got her mandatory tip so I’m sure she doesn’t care. I should have microwaved a lean cuisine for something edible. The bathrooms had ZERO toilet paper. The sinks had no running water. And the trash was overflowing. When we told the hostess she responded by telling us the bathroom was for the hotel, not the restaurant. What??? Where does the staff wash their hands???

We ate here on new years eve and the restaurant did not seem to be able to handle being so busy. The service was poor and the food overpriced. The food was good, but not great. I did enjoy the atmosphere of eating on the streets of South beach.

We had a risotto and fried shrimps. The risotto tasted like nothing and the shrimps was okay but very oily. The service was okay but not the best. So when we compare the dinner with the expensive price it’s not a good match. Wouldn’t recommend this.

Delicious meal at il Bolognese in ocean drive. Eggplant parmigiana to start, gnocchi and carbonara. Apple pie for dessert and two glasses of red wine. Everything was amazing, never had such a great experience in south beach. Service is lovely and place is calm and romantic.

My family ate here and we were very underwhelmed. The service was decent but they offered untrue descriptions of specials with no prices and were not very helpful when we asked for advice on what to order(and how much for our group). A seafood grill platter meant to split between 2 adults was enough food for the four of us to split. The variety was good but the fish was overcooked and generally sub par. The«vegetable medley» was an extra addition which added nothing to the dish and were under seasoned. We ended up with an overwhelming amount of food leftover. I ate the seafood pasta special and it was quite lack luster. The white wine sauce had no flavor other than salt. The dish, which was explained as a variety of seafood over pasta, was a massive dish of pasta served with a full lobster covered in sauce and a variety of other not good tasting seafood including rubbery calamari and overcooked mussels. The bill was astonishing. The seafood platter cost over $ 150 and with a $ 45 service charge automatically added we were very ready to leave as fast as possible.

We ate here on my wife and I honeymoon, the wait staff was very slow and we had to ask for our check and more to drink. The food was ok. we both had the surf and turf, the steak was good, but the lobster tail was extremely small. Over all OK food for the price and very slow service.

I have to say. Being on Ocean on South Beach(at 11:30pm) and having already read some less than glowing reviews, my expectations were pretty low. We dined at Osteria Del Teatro earlier in the week and we were pretty disappointed. Although the service time was a little on the slow side for the entrees, our spaghetti carbonara and lasagne were excellent and well presented. I even asked for the lasagne well done and a corner piece and it was delivered as requested.

Was there July 5th, there was a sign in front of the restaurant for $ 24.99 for the surf and turf. Waited half hour for waiter to ask about drinks and we order half an hour later the waiter comes out and Said that they are out of the surf and turf. So I had ordered the grouper. It came out cold and looked like a TV dinner kind of meal, sent it back and left starving. The service was horrible and so was the food wouldnt recommend this place to anyone

We stopped in for brunch as we were walking along Oceans Drive yesterday. The Belgian waffle might be the most delicious one I’ve ever had, and the pasta Arabiata was spiced just right. It’s a nice little place, our sever was great– he made great suggestions and recommendations, brought out fresh cheese for my pasta and even discussed the Game of Thrones!

Great spot on South Beach Ocean Drive. Friendly, classy staff. We had a great waiter originally from the former Yugoslavia — S. Nemanja. Good was a bit pricy, but good.

WARNING: They will charge you a 19% «service fee» For dinner on a Sunday night, me and my friend ordered the NY Strip Steak and the Spaghetti Carbonara with Shrimp. The Carbonara wasn’t bad, though definitely overpriced compared to what I’m used to in Little Italy in Manhattan. The steak was bland and tasted nothing like a $ 48 steak. I guess it was leftover night.

Great place for breakfast! Very friendly staff and prompt service. The omlette with roasted ham and mozzarella was out of this world, so were the eggs benedict. Highly recommend.

Teastless food. I ate Risotto of the say with crab meat. Cost 34 dollars + tax + 19% tip. Was worth of 15. My friend at Ceasar salad with tuna and same: no taste in sause even. We paid 90 dollars for 2 food + beers. Service was very good!

The restaurant is located in the hotel lobby and on the hotel front porch so it is a vast and public space. It can get noisy. The food however is pretty good. I ordered the pasta with Burratta cheese and meatballs. The pasta and sauce were well prepared and the meatballs were tender and flavorful. All of the food was served hot. In the morning I just ordered some toast. The server was friendly and attentive.

Mediocre at best. We came here after the terrible service at The Purple Penguin right next door, starving and desperate. Big mistake. We had to wait 15 minutes after getting coffees(by the HOSTESS, no less) and a busboy came over to fill our water glasses, splashing water on the table in his haste, before our waitress came by to take our food orders. My boyfriend ordered a Manhattan and steak and eggs($ 25) and I had the eggs Benedict($ 17). Both were pretty terrible, especially after factoring in the cost. The eggs Benedict were salty and bland at the same time, and the steak was overcooked(he had asked for medium rare and received medium well in response). Also, the asparagus it came with were grotesquely huge and were more like asparagus clubs than spears. The Manhattan came garnished with a strawberry(?) and was way too sweet; it did not taste anything like a Manhattan, and was almost orange in hue(though the bill did indicate a charge for Maker’s Mark, so apparently they got one ingredient right). At this point we were both in too bad of a mood to send food back — we just wanted to leave. It’s too bad that they can get tourists to fall into their trap because otherwise they’d be out of business. This is exacerbated by the fact that, like so many other spots around the area, they automatically tack on 18 or 19% gratuity, so the staff have little reason to perform, let alone impress. Bonus story: the family next to us ordered their breakfasts right before they stopped serving it at 11:30am, but decided to move to another table as the one they were at was too sunny for their liking. After they moved, they were informed by the manager that they could no longer receive the meals THEYJUSTORDERED because they had switched tables«after breakfast had stopped being served.»
