Ordered three things, two of them are absolutely disgusting. Don’t order mucver(mushy balls of grossness) or sigara boregi(like eating pure salt). Doner pita is just ok.

Easy to miss but worth the trouble. Friendly relaxed neighborhood restaurant just a few yards from the tourist traps on Lincoln. Well worth the extra minute to find.

This restaurant was very beautiful with nice décor and a good ambience. I ordered the falafel and my girlfriend the chicken doner. Both were very plentiful and very good. Best thing i ordered was the zucchini fritters!

If you’re looking for good Mediterranean meal, go slightly off the beaten path and enjoy the delicious option here. We had the spinach pie, Istanbul salad which were excellent. Definitely recommend coming here and will be back again.

You’re always going to have fun at Lokum. The staff is great, the food consistently fantastic and the atmosphere is festive. They have a happy hour daily from 4 ’til 7 which includes $ 3 beer and $ 5 wine by the glass as well as $ 7 cocktails. They also have a varied selection of appetizers from $ 4 to $ 6 a plate. Their regular plates are also very reasonably priced. If you’ve never had it try the blended lentil soup. I had never seen it prepared this way in any other restaurant. It is delicious. Lokum is like Istanbul… with a South Beach flair. Enjoy!

Wonderful and authentic! Just like the food I ate when I was in Istanbul. Everything is fresh. The pastries are homemade. Delicious! Reasonably priced. Very large selection of menu items from salads and sandwiches to complete meals. They also serve authentic Turkish coffee. I will definitely come back. It’s right next to the theater so will be a great stop after a movie.

Here we go: Good food Cheap prices Service sucks The owner needs to get waiters that understand English so they don’t bring your order wrong like they did for us The chicken soup was cold The chicken soup have no chicken inside And he should warn you about the lentil soup is more like a lentil enema with no actual lentils because it is all blended liquid And yes I will be coming back I will just order something different

terrible service. stay away from his place. I ordered a greek salak, a salmon and some bread 1. The menu states that greek salad had olives in it and comes with greek dressing on side, however no olives in it and dressing was mixed in the salad 2. I saw bread was in the oven being cooked, I asked some of the cooked ones however they brought me old, tasteless one 3. the salmon was half cooked, the waiter was not interested and careless, did not leave any tips, won’t go back and advise everybody to stay away

I wanted to check this place out since I really like Mediterranean food. It was a bad sign when I walked in and so no one inside at 8:00 pm on a Thursday night in the heart of Miami Beach during high season. I certainly understand now why no one was there. The food is not very good and it is expensive. There are too many other options in the area. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I dined here with my family tonight. The food ranged from slightly below average to very good and the service was great. This would normally earn 3 stars from me, but I somehow was lucky enough to order THREE different menu items that they were out of. On a Saturday night at 8PM, this was inexcusable. For my drink, I ordered some cocktail with Grey Goose Citron, Lemonade, and basil. The server told me they were out of basil which I thought was kinda weird but whatever. Now, I drink a lot of Grey Goose so I know what it tastes like and I’m 90% sure they used Smirnoff or some other cheap nasty vodka instead; it wasn’t smooth. At all. The lemonade tasted like Minute Maid. I didn’t even finish the drink and because of stupid open container laws that don’t exist in NOLA I couldn’t even take the drink with me. Lame. For an appetizer, my family ordered the Lokum Mezze, which was a combo platter with hummus, tzatziki, baba ganoush, and some kind of tabouli salad. The hummus was average, I’ve been to lots of places with better hummus but it certainly wasn’t bad. The tzatziki was pretty good, slightly better than what I’m used to. The baba ganoush was most definitely the star of the show; the eggplant and red pepper flavors really shined here to create something memorable. I’m not a big fan of tabouli but I tried it and it was pretty good. For my entrée, I noticed they had grilled calamari. I LOVE grilled calamari because most places only have fried calamari which is also good but not as unique. So you can imagine my disappointment when our server informed me they were out. I also love lamb chops so I tried to order that: also out. I then noticed an octopus salad which looked tasty; thankfully, they had that in stock. My mom tried to order another side of baba ganoush and I was excited to steal some of that; unfortunately, our server returned moments later to inform her they were out of that as well. When I got my salad, I eagerly bit into a piece of octopus and was quite pleased. Unfortunately, the salad upon which the octopus sat had the blandest dressing I’ve ever eaten. I’m convinced it was nothing but olive oil; it desperately needed salt. The weird thing was my dad’s dish came with a side salad which came with much better dressing. I will say this: everyone I was with enjoyed their meals immensely, so I probably just ordered wrong. Although it’s hard to order what you want when they’re out of half the menu. Atmosphere is lovely and service was great, but next time I’m going to ask if they have what I want BEFORE I sit down.

The food was absolutely FANTASTIC hands down but the service was a tad weak but maybe it was just an off night. I would highly suggest checking it out

This places was decided by my students. It is a small restaurant that opened recently near our school. The place had a nice décor, though it might have some roofing issues since there were a few leaks from the tremendous amount of rain we had throughout the day. The people were nice and friendly. They were a bit too quick to deter us from using out 15% off coupon claiming that their happy hour was cheaper. However, they failed to tell us that we can close our tab after happy hour and order from the main menu and have the 15% discount apply to the regular items. Tsk tsk tsk. Shame on them. The food was ok. It was a bit overpriced for my taste but at least it was good. I ordered a sirloin(10oz) and it came $ 20 plus a split appetizer and a drink my bill came to $ 50(including tip) just for me! Like I said at least the food was not bad. Would I come again? Probably not. But it is a nice new commodity if you are a foodie and looking to experience new food.

There are several new restaurants opening up in this area every day. Lokum is one of those which deserves recognition and continuing its business. The food is sensational, the turkish tea is a must have! And the service is excellent! My personal recommendation is the turkish pizza… get ready to get a bit dirty eating it, but it is worth it! Also be open minded as it is not your regular pizza, but very tasty! I will definitely be back!

You can’t have Adana Kebap this good anywhere else in Miami area for 15.95. It was delicious and juicy. My wife ordered Lamb Sis. We tried each other’s food and her lamb sis was very tender and juicy also. The new owners seem very friendly and knowable for Turkish Cuisine. While having our baklava which was delicious, they offered us free Turkish Tea. Unlimited tea is offered for free to Lokum’s Customers. As a Turkish Person, I would recommend Lokum Mediterranean to anyone.

I have now been here 3 or 4 times and it is really a nice place to have a quality meal. The prices are reasonable, food is high quality and the service is good. Everything you could ask for. Will definitely be going again, and would recommend it to people who have walked to the top of Lincoln Road and looking for a quick bite.

I didn’t expect much from this place but I was impressed with the quality of the food. The staff was also good, the food was very good and fresh. I would come back for sure. I think I got a salad with some kind of meat on it, but I cannot recall.

Walked in to a brightly lit(not in a good way) empty restaurant on a sunday evening. Ordered a bottle of wine from their very limited wine list that was priced at $ 26. My very nice server said they were out of that one and suggested one at $ 43 ??? seriously? I ordered the mix dip platter that arrived with limp, tasteless pita. The tzatziki(yogurt dip) and the baba ganush(eggplant) were both runny & tasteless and more of a soup than a dip. The hummus, I’ve tasted better from cosco. I did not feel any Mediterranean ambiance whatsoever. Although my server tried his best, it is not enough reason to return.

I need to preface this by saying for the past two plus years I have been on a crazy binge of finding the best Mediterranean food out there! Here in South Florida we have a lot of great choices but I like to find the cream of the crop! Lokum is way up on my list to get that out of the way. We went on with a Groupon that was just a value, but we will be back for more soon! I had the Falafel plate with Greek salad, Pita Bread and Greek rice. My Fiancé had the grilled chicken Kofti which is ground chicken in smaller tenders looking form. Each dish was amazing and very nice to share back and forth. When we go back I want to dive into even more authentic dishes but for now I feel great with my choices. The servers were very friendly and the open concept kitchen you see just as you walk in alerts you there are no surprises in the food. What you see is surely what you get. Prompt service, good pricing and good food allows me to give Lokum a huge thumbs up!

We absolutely love this place. We took an impromptu walk from the National Hotel down to the south bay pointe and back up towards Lincoln Road. It seemed like we were walking for hours, and I was really hungry by the time we found Lokum. Our waitress was super sweet. When we couldn’t figure out what to eat, somehow she managed to help us quickly decide without being pushy. I got the chicken gyro plate and I can’t remember what my husband got but it was delicious. The chicken gyro plate comes with a Greek salad served in the shape of a cone, chicken atop a crunchy naan-type of bread, rice and beans and tzatziki sauce. We got the baklava for dessert and it was oh so yummy. Very sweet but the cinnamon yogurt balanced it out.

Really enjoyed my experience. I’m not a big fan(at all) of Mediterranean food, but I loved everything here. My table of 7 ordered nearly every appetizer and all of them were delicious, with spectacular presentation. The service was phenomenal — extremely attentive, patient, and friendly. The place is really nicely decorated and clean. It has a wonderful atmosphere. The only thing I’d suggest is having Mediterranean music playing; we ate to the sounds of bachata while here. The prices are very decent and acceptable. My family will most certainly be returning for another great experience.

So I went to meet friends at the soft opening this past weekend. Luckily our friends had a table because we were initially told that there would be a 15 minute wait. It was super busy with a fun, chaotic new restaurant sort of vibe. The server was friendly as she explained what was available for the evening. Now full disclosure — I didn’t eat. I was sitting with 4 avid Unilocalers, so their opinions are of course golden. We all agreed that the presentation was great. The food was inviting. Now, there was no hummas available and apparently no wine/liquor yet. I wonder if anyone else shared in my disappointment? Probably just a problem for me. So okay. The overall consensus was that the food was lackluster. One friend reported that her salad wasn’t really fresh and she didn’t care for the dressing. Another said the falafel was pretty dry. Apparently the water and soda had a strange taste… ultimately none of the four were terribly impressed with their dishes and felt that several other similar spots in the hood offer fresher and tastier food. It’s a new spot and truth be told, the world of South Beach food can be a cold one. Who knows, maybe there will be a shift as the place settles in…
