I know, it is on Lincoln road so they don’t have to make any effort to fill up the restaurant but… No bread available, and the management is a disaster… my friend found a soaked old check in his salad, disgusting, just a sorry from the manager and they didn’t take off the salad from the bill ??? Scary

One of my fav. restaurants on Lincoln, Pizza’s are thin and cooked in brick oven, I always tell waiter to make it extra crispy cuz I like to make sure its crisp and not soggy. They also have great salads that are lightly dressed, if you like your salads with more dressing I suggest asking for extra on the side. I like the Ortolana and the batman and partner likes the Cobb they used to have the Matese(I think that was the name) and my partner in crime looooved it but they took it off the menu. SOSTAIFYOUAREREADINGTHISPLEASEBRINGITBACK! I guess it wasn’t that popular because it had sardines in it which he liked.(along w potatoes, corn, tomatoes a bunch of stuff). The calamari is good as well as the caprese salad. And they have yummy pastas too! I have tried and enjoyed the penne alla vodka. Besides Spris, I would not eat pizza anywhere else on Lincoln. I also like Quattro for italian as well, menu not as casual. Outdoor seating great for people watching!

Sosta catered a delicious welcome party dinner for my out-of-town wedding guests and did wonderful job. Let me tell you, it is not easy easy finding a restaurant on Lincoln road willing throw a party on a Saturday night, and with enough available indoor room for 50 people. Good luck, however Sosta was able to accommodate and did a great job. We were able to set a menu and everyone was so impressed by the quality and taste of the food. I honestly hadn’t even had a chance to try out the food before the party so I was just hoping for the best, but they did an amazing job, from pizzas loaded with fresh grilled veggies, to the yummy salads and pastas. Not only that, but desert was awesome pana cota and tiramisu. The staff was so nice and accommodating. They took care of everything. They only reason I knocked of a star was because the bathrooms were a little icky. Other then that it was great.

The restaurant is located at the Lincoln Road Mall. The boyfriend was craving pizza and so we decided to try out the place! Restaurant is clean and quite small. Server was kind and served us really well. On the other hand, it all comes with the food rating right? WELL we ordered the make your own pizza and the boyfriend and I shared it. We had goat cheese, which was actually pretty good. the thin wheat crust was too saggy :( The meatballs didn’t taste like meatballs at all. They were very dry and it didn’t even taste like anything. The ham was alright and the whole pizza was falling apart while we were grabbing and trying to eat it. It sucks because I’ve been to restaurants with wheat crust and they were never as bad as this. It’s not bad, just I guess try something else. Something you will never go wrong with at least.

Lincoln Road can be very scary to most tourists because there are literally hundred of food options. I was invited to try out this restaurant because my Italian friend advised they had the best Pizza in Miami. I was skeptical but I had to try it. Sure enough they do make great pizza and it was the best in my opinion until I tried the pizza at Tutto Pizza. That does not mean the pizza is not good because it is honestly amazing, it’s just that the location can be a little overwhelming. I rarely enjoy going to South Beach anymore because of the lack of parking and the people that visit the beach tend to either be tourists or young local punks that only care about partying and causing a scene. The prices are not bad and the staff is friendly but the service can be a little slow. I would eat here again if I was hungry on Lincoln Road again but I will not go out of the way to return. I recommend the Diavola!

You know, I really feel like this place is totally underrated. Their menu isnt extensive, but the choices they have are really good. My recommendations: — Orrechiete(sp?) — it had asparagus, broccoli and sausage — flavorful without overdoing it. — the volcano pizza thing(I don’t remember the name of it) but when they bring it, the break an egg over it, it is completely scrumptious! It is very hearty and I recommend for sharing! I’ve been 3 times, each time the service has been really good. I know Lincoln Road is full of tourists traps, but this isn’t one — they’re good — give them a shot!

My friends decided to eat here. It wasn’t my choice. After perusing the menu I chose the Cobb salad. It was fresh but kind of bland. Nothing like the fabulous Sobe Cobb at Books and Books. My friends had the steak tartare and the pasta. They said their dishes were good. One of my friends asked for the bread to be toasted. The waiter said«we don’t do that but you can buy the focaccia». She said«yes, you do… you toasted it for me last time». They toasted it for her this time too.

Lunchtime on Lincoln Road means a dizzying array of options chalk full of ladies handing you menus, flyers and anything else promotional. Having recently made my way through the endless selection, I finally arrived at Sosta. Seeking refuge in some kind of artisan pizza, I dove into a veritable variety of pies. From tomato sauce options to white pizza with every esoteric and traditional topping you can think of, I was left with the ultimate foodie dilemma: which of the many things to order. Our server recommended the Recco e Prosciutto Crudo white pizza. I’m the kind that sticks pretty close to traditional tomato sauce pies, but when he showed his enthusiasm for this particular option, I knew it best to follow his lead. The thin crust pie came with stracchino cheese(a new exciting discovery!) and prosciutto crudo di parma. To say this pie went way beyond exceeding my expectations is an understatement. Were it not in poor form for a lady of my standing to huff an entire pie, I would’ve been –that– girl. The Caesar salad that prepped us for our meal was light on the dressing(just how it should be) and brought out in a conveniently thin crust bowl. That’s right, it was an edible bowl. Like what you’d find in a taco salad, but better because it’s dough! So happy to have unearthed the greatness of Sosta. I’ll certainly be back for nice glass of white wine and a fresh pizza pie.

My boyfriend and I frequented this place often while we were living on the beach. Very authentic ambiance, love the inside décor. Baked Ziti is always a favorite of ours. While their thin crust pizzas are great, in my opinion they do not rival Fratelli La Buffala’s pizzas(5th and Washington). If you are sitting outside, sometimes it is difficult to get your waiter’s attention. Overall it was a decent experience and reasonable prices for the portions!

Well I found a place I like better than Spris on lincoln road for pizza and the meal over all. SOSTAISGREAT! I cannot wait to return. I came for a late lunch 3pm which is a great time to come because it is off hour between lunch rush and the early dinner so service is amazing. You are one of maybe 3 or 4 tables. The Buratta Pizza is the best I have had since this place called Gnocco in NYC. It was bites of pure heaven. I’m from NY/NJ my whole life and I know of good pizza and this absolutely meets the standard. Delicious and perfectly cooked. The Carpaccio(tuna) was divine. The Batman Salad with the goat cheese was perfection in a bowl and we shared everything and I was totally full and satisfied. Added to that was the wine… great selection although they need to get some sweeter whites in the house. Prosecco was great! Over all this meal was totally memorable, excellent and I cannot wait to come back here again to try like 10 other things I saw on the menu. Run don’t walk to SOSTA! You’ll love it.

Went with a party of 6 peeps, at lunch time on a Friday. We shared some wood oven baked pizzas that were pretty good. Ordered a nice cold Peroni in a bottle(I never get drafts), but my friends all ordered drafts and the waiter came back saying that the«draft was not pouring correctly»(probably means they need to clean it), so they all had to switch to bottles. It’s a good idea to share pizzas as they were perfectly sized for two. Still, I think Spris is the best pizza on Lincoln Rd. But hey, give em a shot, you probably won’t be disappointed.

On a Saturday night, we sat outside on Lincoln Road for a Salad, Pizza and Pasta at Sosta. It was a perfect night for People Watching on The Road. Of our party of 6, the Baked Tortellini appeared to be the winner for the evening as multiple forks reached across the table for taste. The Pizza was okay — the crust was softer than I like it. I had Pesto Linguini which is a No-Repeat for me. Another thing about restaurants like Sosta on Lincoln Road, most serve up Soda in a small can and charge for refills. They were also out of Peroni Draft Beer(Huh, it’s an Italian Restaurant, and they are out of Peroni Draft?). There are small bathrooms inside, which is nice to remember on Lincoln Road — if you dine somewhere, make sure you use their bathroom before you leave, especially on a Saturday night.

I was here last week and while the service wasn’t very good and kind of rude, the pizzas were excellent. Our party of four ordered the Rustica, the Diavola, Gorgonazola e Salciccia, and one that had one shrimp each on each slice. I personally prefer thin crust and thought these were very crispy and tasty. Further, during the happy hour the pizzas are half off.

Has a revolving pizza oven. PROS: + excellent service by juan carlos(or juan pablo? juan mario? now I forgot who) + decent pasta — had orecchiette alla pugliese(broccolini rabe, italian sausage, chili flakes, cherry tomatoes and garlic). came out bland, but with cheese, a request of cream & tomato sauce, some salt and pepper, it became tasty! + affordable menu CONS: — pizza is nothing to write home about — I still liked Spris better on Lincoln Road, but Spris isn’t anything to write home about either. — linguine al pesto pasta was just okay, I wasn’t too crazy about it since to me it was just pasta and pesto(i thought it needed something else), but someone else loved it.

I am a NYC pizza snob so I rarely eat the stuff in Miami, but every now and then I crave it. After a long day of shopping(both for Haiti & myself), I was very hungry and right across from Sosta. Since Amy S. loves it, it had made my list of places to try. Sitting outside was nice. But, they were packed so the service was a bit patchy. I got my wine(nice Malbec) and my caesar salad, which had more cheese than lettuce and was slightly too heavily dressed, right away. But, then we were made to wait over 25 minutes for our pizzas, which was slightly unbearable given the aforementioned appetite I had built up. Luckily, the pizza was delicious and among the best I have had in Miami. The waiter recommended that I replace the typical button mushrooms with a higher end variety that made my prosciutto pizza sing with flavor. I mean the extra 3 – 4 dollars were majorly worth it! I also really enjoyed the mozzarella cheese and felt that the portion was just right.

Had lunch here Saturday after watching AVATAR. I was on such a high from the movie experience that I can’t even remember actually walking over to Sosta. I am a DEEPDISH lover so had I been 100% aware of my surrounding I may have passed. Started with the fried zucchini. That’s what I got-fried zucchini. They really didn’t taste like anything but«x» food, battered and fried. I ordered the vegetable pizza and my friend ordered the white pizza. The vegetable pizza was very tasty and every time I bit into a vegetable it had a great garlicky-sauteed taste to it. My friend was not crazy about their white pizza. I had a slice and the slice was good but there is no way I would be able to eat an entire white pizza. The crust was thin and crispy; just right for this style of pizza.

The pizza is very good, service not so much. Friday night on the beach, you would think they would bring their A game right? The water glasses were empty 75% of the time, as well as beer bottles and other drinks. The food took a long while as well. The only thing saving them from 2 stars is the pizza was very good. Next time I’m on the beach and feel like pizza, I think I will just call in the order and walk around with the pizza box.

I’m not a huge fan of pizza and the service sucked. But I’m not going to give them worse then 3 stars because to be fair, it was Friday night and we were a large party and not many restaraunts ever do that right. Since I’m not a pizza person, I went with the vodka-red-sauce pasta(don’t remember what it was called). It was just okay. Bascially, this is Lincoln road, go find something else.

I stopped by Sosta to grab dinner with a friend on a recent rainy weeknight. The rain had subsided, so the outdoor seating was relatively dry. Unlike most of the more casual Lincoln Road eateries, we weren’t allowed to sit wherever we liked, and in fact we were told if we wanted to sit inside, there’d be a wait, since there weren’t any open 2-tops. We opted for the patio, but in my book, that kind of treatment is a no-no. Our server was a little pushy, and even though we advised we needed more time several times, he always came back a minute or 2 later, not really giving us much time to decide. The vino selection was vast, and we opted to indulge in a bottle of some cabernet or other for $ 30, which was cheaper than just ordering glass after glass. For dinner, we each got a pizza, not realizing just how large they’d be. We probably could’ve split one. My friend had the proscuitto and I had the gorgonzola and italian sausage. They were both yummy, but my friend’s proscuitto with fresh arugula and shaved parmesan took the cake. There were plenty of leftovers to take home though! Overall, Sosta was good. The food really out-shined the spotty service. By the end of our meal, the place had filled up nicely, both indoors and out. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the location. Pizzas are too many to choose from and run on average, $ 13. I will definitely return when I’m in need of some gourmet pizza on the beach.
