T-Mex Tacos

Walking around south beach looking for a late night snack that wasn’t to «over done» as a lot of places in Mia are, and we found this place and it was a gem. Nothing like some bomb tacos at 3am!!! A must try when in south beach

Best late night or anytime tacos on Miami Beach. Serious hot, stupid hot, beef, steak, fish, can’t beat it!

The only reason it gets 1 star is for the quality of its fish tacos with stupid sauce, no cheese… thats it! Otherwise, this place; atmosphere, menu food, and employees; deserve to burn down. The employees make the experience horrible… MAJOR THUMBS DOWN on the selection of staff. The people working, who invite their friends to hang out at the bar, should be banned forever. The rudest SOBs in the world. You hate ordering a taco from them cause you know you have to converse. It’s the place you never trust that someone might spit in your food cause its not what you ordered. Everything you order, besides specific fish tacos, is flavorless and horrible… poor choice and care of place

Born and raised on the west coast, and never thought I’d be looking for Mexican food in south Florida. But it happened, and this place delivers like UPS.
Their steak burrito is killer, buy it.

This is my second time around with T-​mex. I wrote a review last year, and it’s just as wonderful. The place is inexpensive, the staff is super friendly and every time I go there it’s a great experience. I was on South Beach for 5 days and each day I visited T-​mex. The workers also suggested places for me and my brother to visit. Their suggestions were very helpful. I always tell people if you’re going to South Beach, make sure you stop at T-​mex! On top of the great people, the food is tasty and very cheap. Try the stupid sauce if you love hot stuff like I do. It will not disappoint.

Best tacos within a 100 mile radius.
Customer service is comparable to any other taco joint. If you’re not happy they’ll gladly make something you do like. Sauces are an up-​charge but they’re plentiful. Personally, I don’t get any sauce, the tacos are seasoned well enough.
The hard shells are my fav. Decently priced (maybe even considered pricey for tacos but who cares). Shack style location but it’s clean.
Grab a drink, chill at the bar and chat with the cook.

Tasty tacos for a great price in a super casual environment
I got the chicken guaco loco and the steak queso loco
They are essentially a crispy taco wrapped in a flour tortilla using either guac or queso as a binder for the tortillas
(Basically like a dbl decker at Taco Bell) but way better
The tacos are STUFFED with meat and are very filling
They have some really good homemade salsas to top your taco
I asked for the hottest one and it had a a lot of heat but it was also flavorful
Next time I’m going to try the nachos — they looked delicious

My ONLY complaint is that they do not serve margaritas only beer

Great place for a quick bite and a soda or beer. My favorite is the chicken burrito. I’ve been coming here for years. Some times there are inconsistencies with portion sizes but still good. The kitchen is quick with the food. Gratuities already included even if you are just picking up your order.

I love this little spot! And it is little… the steak burrito is good, I would have given them 5 stars if the cooks didn’t put so little steak, and wayyyyyyy too much guacamole and sour cream! But besides that, I loved it. Perfect location, staff is nice, and for south beach mexican food it’s the best option unless you want to spend 100 dollars more for your meal.

I went here as a recommendation from my girl friend while I was in the South Beach area. Delicious tacos in South Beach without breaking the bank makes this a great place to stop by for food. Atmosphere is very chill and laid back, reminded me of the california surfer vibe I am used to back home.

In a town where it costs an arm and a leg (literally) to eat a meal, T-​Mex provides low cost tacos, enchiladas and burritos … plus, it is open until ungodly hours during the times that stuff gets real weird on South Beach.
I had a chicken and a ground beef taco, nothing special, but again, we were famished from nightclub dancing and people watching. Location is great, right in between our rental and the beach. Plus, they serve beer, which is an added bonus.
Pull up a chair at the bar and wait for the spectacle to start.

I went for «taco teusday» last month
The sign reads «two for one tacos». They have 4 types of tacos. Beef/​chicken. Fish. Steak. Avacado.

Last month I ordered two beef and two steak. They were good. My bill seemed high at the end and when I asked I was told that steak tacos were not included so they were full price… uhh ok. Thank you for mentioning that taco tueaday sign and/​or taco Tuesday employee
I made the mistake of going again tonight. (Taco tesday). I ordered two beef and two Avacado to go. The bill was too high. When I asked the employee he said that that Avacado is not included so I had been charged full price. I asked to remove the Avacado tacos as I was there for aforementioned taco tuesday and the employee was rude. since two for one tacos clearly does not actually mean two for one tacos and you shouldn’t tell people that walk in saying there are here for taco tuesday that the tacos they order are not encompassed by the special. I retracted my order and had them refund my credit card. Total dick employee. Totally misleading special that I made the mistake of falling for twice.
PS If you don’t like your job not trying is not going to help you get a new job.

Service was quick and very good, perhaps because we were females. A few beers to choose from if you need to wet your whistle.
The chicken nachos were excellent. Sat at the bar and watched WWE with the workers.
We were satisfied with the portion sizes and price.
Would definitely go back to this place if I was in the area and this time I would remember not to tip since like others have mentioned it is included on the bill.

Our hotel manager recommended this for quick, easy and delicious Mexican. It turned out to be a very satisfying lunch option costing around $ 45 for 4 of us with a 10% gratuity automatically included on the bill (ability to increase gratuity on the check or there’s a tip jar). We shared chicken Macho Nachos, a beef queso loco taco, a beef guac loco taco, and 4 beef and cheese-​only crispy tacos for the kids. Generous portions with pkenty of meat. All were very cheesy without being greasy. Very friendly, fast service. Indoor seating was appreciated on a hot day.

It has a neighborhood-​y, unpretentious vibe that is rare in SoBe, so a couple stars for that alone.
Made to order, with quite a few options… another star.
The food quality was just mediocre, however. I would put it somewhere between chipotle and Taco Bell.

I’m sorry, but I don’t feel the magic. I was hanging around on a weeknight and had a sudden guacamole fix, so I decided to go for a guacamole & honey taco, and a guaco loco beef taco. The guys at the counter clearly didn’t appreciate my craving, and I had to explain like 5 times that yes, I wanted 2 tacos. Yes, I wanted to try the guacamole taco. Yes, if it’s on the menu in front of you, that means that you guys make it. Decidedly mediocre.
Of course, it’s totally possible that I’m not «getting» the place. It’s open late nights, and had some combination between a bar atmosphere and a chipotle. There certainly were regulars, which made some playful japes with/​at me. So I could see this place being more fun at some other time.
But Coach M., you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. T-​Mex is only an authentic taco bar in the sense that Moe’s or Tijuana Flats is authentic. This is where you go for some late-​night taco binge of desperation, not if you’re looking for some sabor mexicano autentico.
