I cannot recommend this location. I used to go to Uni K in NYC and loved my experience. Here, it was not a smooth experience with the practitioner and the management. I was charged extra for services that I did not request and when the front desk called the manager, she said I should have asked even though the woman just did as she pleased. I’ll be writing a letter to corporate as well as I do have something to compare it to.

The aesthetician I booked with, Eleidys, was very friendly, professional, and quick. Their unique wax really does what it claims to, it’s been a week and hair growth is still unnoticeable! Not to mention I have very sensitive skin and the wax didn’t hurt as much as usual or make me break out.

Good and clean place for durable result.
The room was clean, the wax is good quality and they use glove to wax delicate area like bikini.
However, for full bikini they do too big and too long strips!
I will return there, but make sure the technician does little strips which is less painful.
I would definitely recommend this place.

No wait, and super quick service for a bikini wax. They use the hard wax instead of strips so it’s far less painful and way more efficient. They have an interesting points card that takes money off of services for recommending people and for each service you get. Will definitely be back. Go early if you need to park.

No parking. Typical Beach. Garage n street close by but i decided to come here during MMW and home design show, and who knows what else and could not find parking for 30 minutes!!!
argghhh…i wish they had parking, but that was a special busy weekend so i guess typically parking garage wouldn’t be full.
i usually go to the south miami location which i love, but had an emergency… waxing services great… and you always feel better after!

Brazilian wax was ok. I normally go to Bliss but they were booked up so I thought I would try Uni. k in hopes it could be a cheaper replacement. It’s just a room with walls so not very private. The waxer barely spoke to me and I wasn’t fond of her technique. She almost didn’t care if it hurt just wanted to rush out of there. At Bliss they always talk me through it to take deep breathes… I never really appreciated them until going elsewhere. It was fine for a last minute much needed wax but I wouldn’t go back. I will plan ahead for Bliss next time.

I’ve been waxing for about 6 years now. Uni K all around has always been my «go-​to» waxing spot if there was ever one in the city. the south beach location on 17th is close to my job so I started going there about a year ago. I’ve never had an issue but I have my special ladies that I request.
Aniuta is my favorite for brazilian wax, she is fast and efficient. Very sincere with people who have a low pain tolerance and she tries to get all the hairs by tweezing after waxing.
Ashley does my eyebrows and I love her! She’s so easy to talk to and gets the job done right! I have stubborn spanish eyebrows with long hairs. She always knows how to shape them right!
I highly recommend this place. My sister came to visit and got her eyebrows done here too and loved it!

I love this place. To start the place is very clean and the receptionist is polite. I usually don’t have an appointment and they are usually able to take walk ins. I really like the fact that they use a fresh clean pot of wax for each client so it’s very sanitary. Also the hard wax is a lot less painful than strip waxing. My full brazilian bikini waxes take less then 10 minutes! This place is also very affordable. I’ve been waxing here for 2 ½ years and will continue to come back.

Definitely not somewhere to go if you’re looking for a quaint «spa» experience, but what a great value!!!
The no-​frills ambience can be somewhat of a turn-​off, but the space is clean and the service efficient. I had the full brazilian wax and I must say it was one of the quickest, cheapest, and least painful waxes I’ve had in a long time. The wax they use is ideal for sensitive skin types– say goodbye to those frequent in-​growns, ladies!
Again, good bang for your buck, but go somewhere else if you’d like something with softer lighting and pampering :)

HORRIBLE.
I’d had been going to Uni-​K for about the past two years and dealt w/​the occasional mishap i.e. waiting 30 mins past my appointment time to be seen, rude service, dirty rooms etc, but today was it for me. I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and ANA my attendant spilled wax in my head hair! Instead of telling me she had made a mistake, she tries to cut my hair! I stopped her and demanded a mirror, which she REFUSED to give me, and when I stood up to look there was a thick, 3 inch long gob of wax in my hair! I nearly cried. She tells me ‘it’s mistake’ and tries again with the scissors! I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND human error but if thats the case, if you’re professional, you tell the client and then make it as right as you can… you don’t try to cut someone’s hair without telling them whats going on. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER and won’t be going back or recommending to anyone I like!
