The servers and owners are very nice. I love the locale-feels very cozy. The menu(southern-inspired) is small, but everything is delish and reasonably priced. My favorite dish is the shrimp po boy.

This is my second time eating at Crackers. Good food, but the wait today is unprecedented. We’ve been seated for over an hour and haven’t received our food and it isn’t even that busy – we even missed the hectic early brunch crowd. I certainly won’t recommend to friends. I’m embarrassed because I brought my family here after raving about it and now everyone is upset/hangry on their last day in Miami.

The server«D-Money» made our first-time experience memorable! His fluid technique of making us feel welcome as well as introducing to us the types of foods they serve was great. We knew that upon entering the restaurant and being greeted by the owners’ daughter would be a one-of-a-kind experience here in South Florida. Hidden in the middle of a quaint neighborhood, who would have known such a culinary jewel would be so well-hidden. The secret’s out folks! The owner, Jo, even stopped by our table to inquire about our experience! Moreover, the live guitarist in the garden was the cherry to the pie! No joke, we will be regulars at this place! We will be bringing a crowd as well!

Absolutely loved this place. I don’t know why I’ve never been here before. I’ve been hearing about it for some time now through some food blogger friends and have seen some pretty delicious looking pics of their food. My friend and I ordered the fry biscuits to start. Oh! My! God! Definitely worth the regret.(I don’t like to eat too much fried foods) & the honey butter they come with is just as delicious. For my main meal(Brunch), I had the captain crunch French toast & cheesy grits. Both were delicious! This place lived up to the reviews. The service was great, staff was super friendly and accommodating. I’ll for sure be coming back here soon.

Crackers… a little delicious breakfast and lunch retreat in Miami Springs. Rustic outdoor garden seating. We ordered the brisket hash browns, country fried chicken with poached eggs, and meatloaf stacker and everything was well prepared presentation was great and tasted even better! For dessert we ordered a chococobbler and peach cobbler… perfect way to end our lunch! Our server, Gus was awesome. Friendly and knew the menu inside and out.

Really nice outdoor seating under an oversized Tiki Room with ceiling fans, and incredibly delicious brisket hash for brunch.

It always makes my day when I find a Pure Gem of a restaurant. Crackers is such a place. Beautiful atmosphere, and the food is outstanding! Started with the Fried Green Tomatoes. The breading had a crispy crunch, the tomato was firm and juicy. Topped with a delicious Bacon aioli. The Maple Glazed Pork Chop had beautiful grill marks, a sweet and savory mustard-maple glaze, and the pork was tender and juicy. Topped with pecans to add a nice crunch. Served with mashed sweet potatoes, the perfect accompaniment. The Collard Greens had a slightly sweet flavor, which cuts the bitterness of the greens. Delicious! Also tried a piece of the Chicken Fried Chicken. A light crispy coating, tender juicy chicken, topped with a delicious gravy. Finished with the best Bread Pudding I have ever had. The bread is cut into one inch cubes, then fried. That gives it a great texture. Crunchy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. Served with vanilla bean ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce. A perfect ending to a perfect meal! And, to complete my wonderful experience, Megan was a delight! She is very nice, very friendly and very personable! Looking forward to a return visit in the future!

Great Place!!! Nice quite and tucked away in Miami Springs. Very authentic american food with all the comfort food you can imagine! Taste is great! Ambiance is incredible. Overall great experience; I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good ol’ american comfort food in an not so touristy, overpriced, away from packed hot spots– restaurant.

Hidden gem. Great local place with a nice southern feel. Make no mistake about it you are still in Miami. However, the food is yummy. The bacon was nice and crispy with an interesting hint of smoked wood. The service was on point, friendly and attentive. The outside seating under a draw canopy is cute and would make for a nice casual dinning experience. It was one of those weird windy«winter» Miami day so we ate inside. Prices were fair and certainly MUCH better than your usual chain food breakfast joint. Certainly worth the try for a nice brunch experience.

You can’t help but like this place due to its originality and special offerings. It’s formerly a house that was converted years ago into a restaurant, and it’s chickee hut outside dining is a great choice for being outside but under a roof. A backyard patio area is also available when it’s dry, but this is Southern Florida after all, so you can’t be certain all the time. When I visited it was clearly not going to be a good choice to be on the open sky patio, so the chickee hut was where we sat. It has a couple of televisions for watching athletics, and the staff likes to check out the screens when they’re not hustling to and from tables. Our waiter could not have been better. A three year veteran of the place, he knew everything about it and its menu. He was very personable and politely guided my table’s choices with suggestions and advice. We were also greeted by an unofficial employee, a cat named Fraidy, who was very friendly. Our food arrived promptly and was tasty, in generous portions. No real surprises, but my one friend’s clams in broth were not only delicious; they were also beautiful. She opted to take the shells home for a little DIY decorating(after a thorough cleaning). My fried chicken was, as expected, very good: crispy and flavorful. So too were its accompanying potatoes. My other friend’s fish(mahi mahi) also received high ratings — even Fraidy got a bite. Dessert was a delicious blueberry cobbler. Not to be missed. Overall, considering the location of the restaurant, I think it’s a great choice if you’re near the airport or(as we were) at Casino Miami Jai-Alai.

Lunch was good but Sunday brunch is even better! I’m obsessed with their biscuits and gravy when it’s available. The salmon poached eggs special is also nice. And the fried biscuits… There are no words. Try eating in the garden… It’s a nice home-y feel.

I ordered a half of rack of ribs after finishing a 5k at 10:15am. So glad I did. Nearly perfect with a Cigar City Cracker beer. The food temperature continues to be a minor issue but otherwise it’s still a great choice.

This is one of the better restaurants in Springs. I’m biased though, being from the south, it is about as close as I can get to my style of food. It definitely has some«Cuban”/Miami influences and if it was actually farther north I may not be so kind as they have a couple of deficiencies for me personally. A brown gravy would be nice and although they try the collards aren’t quite right but I grew up on greens and veggies so I’m a little picky. The service is mostly good if a little slow and don’t plan on a quick Sunday brunch, they get bogged down quickly. The owner is very personable and makes a point of being attentive and friendly which counts a lot for me. Try to get by there to at least get carry out every couple of weeks. Ask for the country fried steak bites(it’s an app but I often eat it as a meal and the bread pudding is a must)

Definitely a fan. A great casual brunch place with some clever Southern food. The chicken fried chicken was wonderful. Perfectly fried and with an exterior that reminded me of a grown-up Chick-fil-A taste. The gravy was also very tasty, though perhaps a bit one note. The home fries were great. For dessert, our party shared a Captain Crunch french toast. Which was excellent. And unlike Captain Crunch french toast I’ve had elsewhere(Eating House comes to mind), Cracker’s version of the dish actually had a noticeable Captain Crunch taste. My mimosa was also on point. All of this was even better because it was less expensive than many places where you might order a comparable brunch.

A little gem in the middle of nowhere, yet this little gem borough back good memories of when we visited New Orleans. We tried the fried country chicken with gravy, and sweet potatoes and mash potatoes, delicious chicken ever please try. We also tried the shrimp poboy, it was as good as the famous one in NOLA. To finish our amazing dinner we had the fried bread pudding, it was not the nest bread pudding I’ve had but I felt in love. The prices are the best, come on we live in Miami everything is expensive nowadays. This place was reasonable for the amount and quality of food. We spent about $ 40, that’s pretty cheap to me.

Southern cooking at its finest! You know you come here many times enough when you’ve developed favorites and always go for the usual. It’s odd for me in this case because I’m one who always tries something new at each visit, but when I’m come to Crackers, I can’t help but order my favorites: Shrimp & Grits, Chicken Fried Chicken(w/green bean casserole & garlic mashed potato sides), and the Peach Cobbler for dessert. And if we come here on a Sunday, my honey and I would automatically get their Chicken & Waffles. Did I mention I get their Peach Cobbler for dessert? Oh, I did. Well, it’s that amazing I had to say it again. There was a time I went with a group of friends, and majority of us, if not all, ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken(my honey started the CFC movement; you’d think he’s Crackers’ spokesperson). I apologize if you didn’t get to eat chicken later on that day because of shortage; blame our party! The chicken is cooked to perfection — tender and juicy on the inside, brown and crispy on the outside — with such flavorful, creamy gravy slathered on top. I recommend to get the green bean casserole as a side with this dish. No, I’m not trying to get you to eat your vegetables but they do compliment the chicken and mashed potatoes. These beans are so fresh and crisp(like the crispness of gingersnap peas) — also has the same yummy gravy with fried onion toppings as well. If you do get their Fried Chicken & Waffles on a Sunday, I warn you now, it’s quite large. I usually can finish a whole large waffle by myself(the kind a waffle you can break into fours), but with the chicken, it’s such a heavy meal. It’s delicious and such a guilty pleasure, especially when you drizzle your desired amount of syrup. Be ready to get your hands greasy and sticky! If it’s not Sunday and I’m not feeling like chicken, I go for their Shrimp & Grits. Their version is my ultimate favorite. The grits is so creamy and the shrimps are quite large and usually not overcooked. Enough cajun spices to give a kick but not overwhelm the palate, and enough cheese to settle down the kick just a bit. So if you’re more of a fan of seafood over poultry, this is a top pick! Definitely get the Peach Cobbler! It’s by far my favorite dessert there, and in fact, this review is enlisted in my «Room for Dessert?» list. The Peach Cobbler is a MUST, and trust me, I can be super full that my gut will implode, but I always manage to have room for this pleasant de(not-so)light! Freshly baked peach cobbler a la mode, you see the vanilla ice cream slowly melt from the warmth of the cobbler, making each bite so heavenly sinful! Yes, it is sharable — after all that eating, I’d think sharing is mandatory at this point. And if you’re curious about the place itself aside from the food, yes, it’s a fun looking place, especially outdoors. You have the option of staying indoors as well, but you will love it outdoors — surrounded by wood, the fresco breeze, and nautical décor, you forget for a moment that you’re in Miami Springs and you’ll feel like you’re vacationing at a nearby boathouse. Also, another great thing about Crackers is the ever-growing-ever-changing garden in the back patio, which is also available for seating. Workers there treat Crackers as their home, so you see garden projects in the back that may change every now and then so there’s always something fun and new to see at each visit. It’s definitely a must to visit the garden after eating and just walk around to appreciate the botanic beauty. Not one visit has troubled me at all, which keeps me coming back for more. Amazing customer service(waiters have become familiar faces; I believe I can recall 3 names by now), amazing southern cooking, and amazing Peach Cobbler.

Came around noon after already hearing how wonderful this place was, but I had no idea what to order! The scenery in this place is to die for, and the wait staff is very attentive. Asked my waitress for what she would recommend and she suggested the chicken fried chicken. I was also very curious to try their fried green tomatoes, so my friend and I decided to split a caprese burger & the chicken fried chicken so we could try both. Best choice I made! The chicken fried chicken was so perfectly moist and tender I was in awe. It felt like a truly southern dish and was one of the tastiest pieces of chicken I’ve ever had. I had it with a side of mashed potatoes, just as great. The caprese burger was also pretty impressive but I could barely taste the fried green tomato, so I pulled it out and ate it solo. Pretty great, no complaints on the burger either. I would come back here over and over and am curious to explore the menu even further. I left STUFFED so I didnt get to try their infamous fried bread pudding, but I am definitely leaving space for it next time. I look forward to coming back!

I’m currently at 26 check-in’s @ Crackers, so I can definitely speak from experience. To say I’m here every weekend is an understatement. This WAS my go-to Sunday morning brunch spot, however, this past Sunday was definitely my last. My last 5 experiences here have not been good. From a new incompetent waitress who completely messed up the easiest order on the planet, to dirty silverware/plates, breakfast taking LITERALLY60 minutes to arrive(with no apologies from anyone)… One of the last few times I came, I met up some friends(whom I had referred to Crackers, like I do to everyone!), and when I got there they told me they had gotten the nastiest attitude from the owner. I don’t think they were lying because all 3 of them were complaining about not coming back. Soon the owner came and asked us if everything was ok and he was really nice(like he always is), so I found it strange but I totally believed them. I’m not sure whats going on with this place. It used to be my favorite spot, but I can taste in their food, it’s like they don’t care anymore. The fried chicken gets smaller and smaller every time I order it. The food arrives cold. The spuds look like they’ve been sitting there for hours. I just don’t understand what happened. It’s going to be really hard giving up Crackers, specially their beautiful garden area, but I really cannot return after my last few experiences. I definitely need to take a really long break. Hopefully when I decide to return I can fall in love again.

Really good food! Consistent, friendly, clean, and increasingly popular… They do things right here. Nightly specials present an ever-changing unique selection ranging from catfish to Cajun, meatloaf to ribs. Their burgers are the best you’ll find in Miami Springs… Thick, prepared to order, and with a variety of toppings. Ever try bacon jam? Here you can! Make sure to have a homemade desert. Great cobblers, bread pudding, and daily pies and cakes.
