Best food in Miami! They’ve thankfully opened up two more locations! One in the gables and the other in the grove! YIPEE! The mental lentil is a definite must!!! It’s enough food for two huge meals! The plantain, red lentil, guac combo you can’t beat it!!! Now they offer a collard wrapped burrito a nice option for those are gluten free or looking for a healthy option! I went to the location right off of coral way on ponce, there’s tons of seating offered inside!

Food wise, I have no complaints. Everything I’ve tried is pretty good. My favorite thing is to come in for pancakes on a late Saturday morning. Service wise, I am not impressed. They serve slightly cool water without ice. During my visit in the summer of 2012 when i started writing this unfinished review, it felt uncomfortably warm inside. You may or may not get a timely refill. I’ve been back a handful of times since then, and it was just meh. I started this review and forgot about it; by the time I finished it the store is closed.

This little place doesn’t look like much when you walk in or even from the exterior. But let me tell you the Vegan food is to die for! Definitely try the sweet potatoes fries(which are baked), mental lentil wrap, and the soy chicken homey. And don’t get me started on the desserts! They where amazing!

Now this place is a great vegan restaurant. The people that work there are friendly and the food is delicious and inventive. If you want, you can even place your order online and it will be ready for you when you arrive(dine-in and take-out). Another perk to placing orders online is that you can rack up points which you can eventually redeem for a gift certificate. My favorites dishes are: Mental Lentil, The Raw Wrap, and the Geniroll Lentil. Their juices are also pretty tasty. A meal for two people with drinks and a shared dessert can easily reach $ 40+, but remember that the food is 95% organic. You’re worth the splurge.

This place is a dream come true. My soul bro brought me here when I came out to Miami to visit and I have dreamt of it since. It’s been a while so I can’t recall what I tried but we had a large party and everything I tasted was delicious. I might come here straight from the airport next time I’m in town.

When I want a good brekkie and a nice place to work and chillax, I head to choices for super healthy yummy food, and a nice vibe to chill out and work, share time with a good friend and eat really vital healthy food. I love the grand slam option for brekkie with a gluten free pancake(I like the savory ones), and a big cup of organic coffee, scrambled tofu and some vegan sausage. Choices is the best choice. Check them out.

After waiting 35 minutes for our food and seeing the cashier use her bare hands to look inside someone’s wrap and add some more ingredients we finally received the food. The food was mediocre at best.

This place was absolutely fantastic. I had the Mental Lentil wrap with the side salad. The dressing was perfect and the wrap was probably the best wrap I’ve ever has period, vegan or not. Will definitely be coming back.

I wish I could give this place a 5 star review but their delivery time is just not what it should be. Delivery consistently takes over an hour which is even more unacceptable when you consider I only order raw items. I used to love eating the chipotle walnut wrap and it was always so good, but today it arrived and the wrap was stale and cracking. Disappointing because I really used to love this place.

Would be five stars if the restaurant décor and ambiance was a bit nicer. Definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. BUT THEFOODISINSANELYAMAZINGANDDELICIOUS!!! Get the Mental Lentil or Veganator Burger. The larger meals come with a nice side salad with delicious light dressing that they probably make there. Desserts are amazingly and will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. They also have another location in the upper Eastside of Miami and the décor is nicer and the restaurant is a bit larger. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I love their food and I go consistently for the insane Mexican wrap. Makes me want to be vegan 100% lol.

Food(5 stars): I got the Mental Lentil over Greens from the ‘Express’ Menu and my gf got the VA’s Insane Mexican Wrap. Both delicious and filling, had to take ½ of my Mental Lentil home for lunch the next day. Big portion, enough to share(if you like sharing). Service(3 stars): As mentioned above, I ordered off the Express Menu but don’t be fooled though, there is nothing express about it. Wait was at least 20 minutes long and my dining partner got her VA’s Insane Mexican Wrap about 10 minutes before I did. They were out of cutlery and that took a couple more minutes. Not the worst service nor the best, so can’t complain there. Ambiance(3 stars): Close quarters, not very comfortable but it could’ve been worse!

Food is yummy and they deliver. Staff is slow but not rude. Today they ticked me off! One hour and ten minutes to deliver my juice and wrap after I called them twice to see why it was taking so long. They should have at least given(or offered) me a discount for next time. I didn’t even called them at a busy time like eleven or noon :/

Wow, this spot is amazing. I love finding cafes where its all about the food. Not much décor or ambiance but the food is so delicious and clean. You could just feel love in the air as you eat at Choices, reminds me of a little corner café you would find in the east village,…ok, the food… I had the portabella burger and sweet potato fries, my lady has the sun temple salad and both were delicious and I thought the prices were very reasonable The place is so good that I’m sitting here waiting for it to open to get breakfast :)

I’m never giving this place another PENNY. If they are going to charge $MINIMUM $ 10 for a juice they better make it how you need it. They completely ignored my request(I ASKED3XPOLITELY) and when asked why they still added the ingredient they said it came up short so… I guess that’s a perfectly good reason to add more of what I asked not to put it??? They need to be careful since so many ppl go there bc of allergies or changes that involve physician orders. If you ask me they rather put more ice and the cheaper ingredients in the juice to make every last penny they can. Not only did I have 1 person ahead of me who already ordered and bc not many ppl were there they moved at a snails pace. 15 min and no line!!! Never again and I live a few blocks away and will never speak positively of this place and will go out of my way to deter ppl from going.

Totally Vegan… No need to worry with having to make subsititions to the meals It was 4 of us, bill came out to about $ 80 but then again it’s vegan which means eating healthy doesn’t come cheap… you want cheap and greasy food that’s why there’s fast food

It is marvelous to have a large range of vegan breakfast and brunch items. The pancakes were rich and varied. The tofu scramble was hearty and satisfying. The acai bowl was light and tasty. I am stuffed and satiated with a sense of fulfillment. I would highly recommend a weekend visit for brunch.

Choices makes great food and their popularity is outgrowing this location — fast. The smallish size of the place is the only drawback — I sat along the bar lining the window adjacent to the kitchen and every person who passed by bumped me as the space is so thin(I’m 6’4″) — but not enough to lose a star. The food is fresh and high quality. My only hope is that Choices stays true to the heart of how they began when they grow, which I anticipate to be soon.

What you go there for: a truly nourishing meal. Vegan menu, organic ingredients. Their wraps are awesome. I’ve enjoyed the Mental Lentil and their Simran wraps. My faves are definitely their vegan pizza(La Pixsa) and their glutten-free pancakes. I’ve enjoyed their oatmeal as well. Only thing I was not satisfied with was their smoothies, but I’m comparing it to the best stuff I’ve had out in California which cost about the same or less. Be prepared to: pay about $ 17 for the aforementioned wraps(without tip), sit in a quaint dining area as the place is small. Cool things: you’ll find unique snacks, juices and confections, free WiFi, educational wall postings, delivery, express menu, breakfast on weekends, I’ve met some great people there. Every time I’ve gone the staff has been helpful and friendly. It’s true, I’d eat there more often because the food is absolutely good for you and it tastes great, however, the pricing makes it more of a «treat.» Then again, there’s also not much competition.

The name of this restaurant suits it well. At Choices Café, you get choices– choices on what fresh shakes to offer and which dishes to purchase. Choices on what to order can be quite difficult though because everything I have tried so far from here has just been so delicious, so delectable, so fresh, and so well-thought out. This place is just a vegan gem located off Brickell. For my first visit here, I ordered the portobello burger for $ 11, and the portobello mushrooms were juicy and well-seasoned. The ezekiel bun that contained the burger was soft but leaked and soaked up too much of the portobello juice, providing a bit of a mess. It was very wet. The onions, lettuce, and tomato also provided substantiality to the burger. If I had to offer one tip for the Choices Café newbie, it would be to keep the toothpick in the burger because once you bite into it, all the insides tend to jump out and escape this delicious treat. The side salad that came with the burger was also a lot of spinach and needed a bit more dressing. After eating my burger, I ordered the oreo bite. I am not sure what was in it, but the coconut filling was sweet and delectable. For $ 4, it was quite small but was worth every dollar because each bite was extremely favorable. My first visit here was memorable– good food and good company in a relaxing environment. A few days after my first visit, I craved a shake for breakfast. To satisfy my cravings and to break my Choices Café smoothie cherry, I ordered The Thinner Mint, which consisted of spinach, mint, cacao, banana, dates, almond milk, and ice. The smoothie was thin compared to other smoothies I have ever tried, and it had a distinguishable mint/chocolate taste. It was quite filling, and for being one of the cheaper smoothies at $ 8, I would probably order it again. Overall, I have been to a few other vegan restaurants such as Darber Bistro in West Palm Beach and La Vie en Raw located by the Gables, and this restaurant definitely hosts a broader menu compared to those places. The servers here are friendly, and there is no pretentiousness– just servers who are eager to answer your questions. The parking at Choices Café could be improved though, and there could also be more seats. Parking is usually along the street. Since the place is popular, there may be no seats when you get there, and one time my friend and I had to leave because there were no inside seats. It also tends to be humid outside, so sitting inside could always be a viable option. Tables are too close to one another, so if you want to have an intimate conversation, go elsewhere. In conclusion, I would come here again. Everything I have tried so far on the menu has been delicious, and I can’t wait to try the other items on their menu. It is definitely one of the best vegan places I have ever visited in regards to food.

Though i broke away from a veggie lifestyle many moons ago i still have the need to nourish myself with live foods. This couldn’t be more obvious on a Tuesday morning when a 2 hour drive around The Roads neighborhood simply wasn’t waking me up. I stumbled upon this corner café that kinda looked like a daycare center at first glance figuring it’d be a welcome change from all the pastelitos and colada dens around. I’m not going to sugarcoat it, the prices are steep and although the wait for my coffee and a wrap was a bit long considering it was just that. A WRAP. Tofu scramble with greens inside a wrap paired with more of the same greens that were inside the wrap. «hey i know you like your greens so i wrapped your greens with tofu next to greens and a side of sauce that taste like the ailoil with tofu» …except it wasn’t Exhibit serving me or doing pro-bono work for pimp my ride and it was so damn expensive. I paid more than $ 10 for something that cost nothing to make, and if the greens were locally sourced or a pretty artesenal blend that’d taste exceptionally well i’d get it but they were simply store bought greens, the kind that come in plastic containers from BJ’s or Publix. No love added. No sprouts or something, ANYTHING to garnish it or spruce it up. It was redundant and was the item the girl behind the counter recommended when i asked what was the best they had to offer a hungry girl. It was a bit of a letdown. The girl that periodically zoomed by happened to ask if i wanted some water brought me a glass of room temperature h2o without ice. Is this a minimalistic choice or was the ice chest not filled before opening shop? When i asked if i could get a refill for my coffee, she looked confused and came back to tell me there’s no refills for coffee… When you’re charging $ 2.50 for a little mug of coffee, i want atleast 1 refill– atleast bare a grin and give me another cup on the house considering i’m the only person in there. The coffee was my favorite part of the meal. I’ll give this place another chance but just for juices since my small breakfast cost me a whopping $ 17.66 for mediocrity. This place has the potential with its location and young staff if it took some moves out of La Vie en Raw’s playbook and became a bit more reasonable making tweaks here and there to make a regular out of people like you and me.

I hate«destroying» a vegan place in a city that already has a lack of vegan restaurants but Unilocal is about real reviews by real people. The BF offered to take me out for dessert and I wanted something semi-healthy, so we called Choices. The dessert options we were given over the phone sounded good so we walked over. Ambiance is definitely lacking. Couple of outdoor tables damn near in the street and the inside looks like a 50s cafeteria but not in a good way. Somehow it didn’t feel«clean». Desserts sounded better than they looked. The three layer chocolate caramel and hazelnut cake was flat. There were different cheesecakes to choose from that looked a tad more substantial. Determined to get my dessert on, I went for chocolate raspberry. Are you sitting down? $ 11 for a slice of cake to go. And the sucker was small. I’d heard before that prices are high and portions small here but I had no idea it was like THIS. As for flavor, the cheesecake filling was on point. If I didn’t know it was vegan I could have sworn it was regular cheesecake. The crust was non-existent. Come on, people the crust is super important! The chef needs to pick up a slice at La Vie En Raw, now that’s serious vegan cheesecake! My final pet peeve: Processed vegan food. Instead of making a healthful dessert using the good stuff(cashews and coconut oil) they use vegan cream cheese, which is commercially processed soy and about as healthful as dairy. Two thumbs down.

I have to eat here at least once a week now — or something seems off in my life :) Once I added the Pixsa to my repertoire — is seems to be the only thing I can get myself to order when I go(even though I know everything else is delicious too!) So I opt to let my boyfriend be the experimental one, and I just nibble his food. Yep. I wanted to add an update, mostly, to comment on the issue with the service. But, honestly, I can’t bring myself to write it now — because I just love this place that much — and I REALLY want to see them SUCCEED and EXPAND! I look forward to the«kinks» getting worked out as you grow CHOICES café. Nobody is expecting«fast food» level service — but it’s gotta get smoother. All the best.
