Been here a couple of times. Service is good being that it’s never packed, at least in the evening when I’ve gone. The sandwiches are made fresh to order. My only complaint is that the sandwich could be a little larger to be more satisfying and the air conditioning is set to the North Pole setting so you have to wear a jacket if you are dining inside.

Great idea… but I am not proud as a Cuban to say this is a Cuban spot. Most cuban spots are cheaper and much more flavor. Try Las Brisas witch is 5 mins away and def. A better choice.

Zero for 2 as new places go in 2016, this one a small new fast food chain that I had heard great things about. «You Have to Go to Cuban Guys». great Unilocal reviews which make me think that they are not factual as my experience was far from spectacular and in short not very good. Located in very large strip mall with plenty of parking if not quite a walk from the doorway itself, this is a «Fast Food Cuban Restaurant» and much of everything was simply off. Arrive just before noon and it is not very busy yet only 1 girl on the grill who is just putting on her gloves so as the orders are piling up she’s not quite ready and only 1 girl on the cashier taking orders. Order is given and she forgets to give us our fountain drink cups, as she seems to be lost in space. Finally got them when the food arrived which was 20 Minutes later in a fast food place unacceptable. Simple order Cuban Sandwich, Pan con Lechon Sandwich and a Vaca Frita sandwich with 1 order of Friend Plantain Chips and 1 order of black beans & rice. Notwithstanding the wait here is the breakdown of food. Cuban sandwich — Roast Pork with Sweet Ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and Mustard. First off the sandwich and meat should be all pressed together creating a tight sandwich that is crispy to the taste. This was a Warm terrible Cuban roll with 1 slice of sliced pork, ½ slice of Swiss cheese and 7 pieces of ham creating an un-pressed falling apart disaster of Cuban Proportions. Quite simply one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had. The Slow Roasted Pork and raw onions with house may was slightly better but lack of quality bread did not help its cause and the raw onion rather than cooked added nothing to this dish either. The Vaca Frita or Pan seared shredded flank steak with crispy fries and grilled onions were passable in fact I’ll even give it not bad. The Plantains were excellent while the rice and Beans were not canned but flat in taste and terrible as the rice was not cooked properly and ice cold. The new touch screen fountain soda dispenser popular in so many places now was a good way to go. In Short service was poor, food quality lacking, and the worst Cuban sandwich in history does not support a repeat to this establishment. Have to find the person to told me to go here so I can hand them the receipt and ask for my $$ Back. Living in Miami plenty of REAL places to get a Cuban sandwich, unfortunately this is not it.

I had recently visited Cuban guys on a Groupon and the only word I have for this establishment is simply«Wow!» Every single thing I had purchased was absolutely exquisite and the service was fantastic! I purchased the Vaca Frita bowl, the Steak Sandwich, the Cuban Frita, and the Guava/Cheese Flan and every single thing was very good(some more than others). The Vaca Frita bowl was absolutely delicious! The chopped plantains were a brilliant idea, the meat was moist and flavorful, and the rice and beans were seasoned well. The Frita burger was not as good as the bowl or the steak sandwich but was still moist and flavorful. The Steak sandwich was very delicious as the meat was cooked and seasoned well. With the fried onions, steak, tomato, and lettuce, the sandwich was a delicious symphony of complex flavors! I rarely give five stars and only reserve them for places with extraordinary price($ 3 steak sandwiches on Monday, $ 4 bowls on Wednsday, and other specials that are on their website and are actually on pictures on Unilocal), taste, and service, which this restaurant provided. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I’ll be coming back!

Place is gimmicky and the food is sub-par. Cuban sandwich was cold and soggy, rice and beans were bland. You’re better off going to a real authentic Cuban place, not this brightly colored chain.

Went to CG today for lunch to redeem a «free meal» birthday offer I got from them. Got a pan con bistec(steak sandwich) with sweet plantains. If you like the sweet/salty combo– this is a must have! It was absolutely delicious!!! They cook to order the meat for the sandwich, so it tasted incredibly fresh.

What can I say about Cuban Guys? If you want a good Cuban sandwich, this is the place to go. The dining area is small, but vibrant. When you come here during lunch time the line goes out the door. Don’t be discouraged by this though, the line goes pretty quickly. If you are a soda lover — you will be hard pressed not to fall in love with the high-tech soda fountain they have. It is a touch screen with mutiple flavors that you can never get at a restaurant and includes both diet and non-diet options. Not into the bubbly? Being a coffee lover, it’s refreshing to find an establishment that knows the importantance of coffee. No American coffee here! They make each cortado or café con leche to order. As for the sandwiches– they are quite good(thus the line out the door). The menu is posted on the wall. I happened to be there for breakfast, and ordered the egg and cheese sandwich– Of you like bread this bread maybe the best part of the sandwich being toasted to perfection.

They have awesome deals, where you get a nice plateful of food for like $ 4! Ordered a side of mariquettas and the serving size was way too small for my liking, but hey with the size of the meal being what it was I’m not complaining.

1st time here and I ate my chicken sandwhich and fried Yucatan and I want more. Chicken was tender and seasoned great… The Yucatan was crispy with a soft fluffy center… Food was extremely fresh, hot and delicious… Cant wait to come back

Listen!!! My experiences here fluctuates between very good and pretty bad! So, 3 stars can be still worth a trip to eat here. I mean, yeah… lately they always forget to give me one or two items that I have ordered but the food is not bad!!! Something’s are quite tasty. The décor-colorful and vibrant. The service-friendly but forgetful. The prices-pretty good for the food portions. The food-not totally amazing but flavorful-the menu is still expanding and it seems like something’s that were really good are just not as good anymore-just to keep it Real with you! The desserts-are creative and good. **Note: If you are in the early stages of dating someone who happens to be Hispanic or someone who enjoys the Latin culture then taking them here for lunch or dinner is a nice option-the atmosphere is relaxing and not loud-cool joint to get to know one another without breaking the bank! So, check it out… I ordered the Cuban Guys Sandwich, which was sometimes better than other times… the Pork Cuban bowl, which was fulling and had a nice flavor… the Media Noche and the Frita Doble, which was okay-it needed more love on the seasoning! But I really like their Guava sticks, mini ice cream bars, Fan and their Cod Fritters!!!

This place has some of the best fritas around. I may be from Louisiana but I have been adventuring to Miami for 10 years and served an internship here for a year. We come to Cuban Guys every time we are in town and some times we even come more than once. This time we came and covered everything. We had the fritas, a Cuban bowl with chicken, yuca fries and flan. Everything was simply delicious. My kid, who I am starting believe is part Cuban, loved the yuca fries, the black beans in the bowl and of course the flan. The chicken in the bowl perfectly seasoned and very juicy. The frita had the perfect amount of shoestrings. Some times they are over flowing and can’t make out the flavor of the rest of the sandwich but there was a perfect portion. To the guys at Cuban Guys, We will be back and hopefully sooner than later.

My boyfriend and I decided that since we were in Miami that we’d go for some Cuban sandwiches. It wasn’t too far off 95 which was nice but I would’ve rather drive to the middle of Miami for a better Cuban sandwich. If you’ve never had a Cuban sandwich then this is pretty good. But if you’ve been to the places in the heart of Miami where they don’t speak English and you feel like you’re literally in Cuba, then this is subpar. The guy at the front was very nice and the food came out relatively fast considering there was a family of 8 that came in right before us. But the second I grabbed my Media Noche, it fell apart. It had so much mustard on it that everything just slid out but luckily there wasn’t much to come out since they were a bit stingy with their ham and pork. The croquetas tasted like they’ve been in the freezer for years and they decided to just stick them in the fryer for way too long so they were almost burnt. I would just rather drive a little further to a mom and pop kind of place with heart.

I’ve been here three times but(officially twice).first time I got here around 9:15ish and the employees were waving me away that they were closed but Unilocal has this listing opened until 10 pm, so that should be fixed. and the way they told me to leave was also pretty rude that I considered not even going back to try it. Second time– I went Monday for a pan con bistec(steak sandwich), it was pretty good but not the best I’ve had. I give it 4 stars. Third time– I went for $ 2 Fritas, plus a free birthday meal I got from using spot on and this generated another issue. their meal apparently to the store manager was just a frita. a cashier had to convince him that it’s a meal so they just added a coke. didn’t really feel the birthday love from them, so I got two fritas and a coke. one of which I paid for since it was the special of the day. it was good like a cuban version of a hamburger. it would rate it 3.5 stars. But service and experience has definitely made this place 2 stars. plus I drive all the way from Fort lauderdale since I know Big O makes a big deal about them but not that special to me.

Loved stopping in for a moment and stayed for a beer. Nice ambiance for a strip mall plaza. Good stop in place or a good place to post up with the ipad and have an affordable meal or two. The frita was delish. It’s a cuban burger. But I see they have rice and beans too. Affordable. Delicioso. For fast food remedies this is a better choice than a drive thru joint. You see the food prep too. I’ll be back. I love NMB and I frequently come thru so for fast food solutions this is a top 3 go to. Fast. Oh, a girl just old me they serve epic breakfast. #quemastuquiere

Visited 12÷16÷14, saw on Facebook that they had a $ 2 special on Cuban Fritas. I went there for the first time with my son ordered 4 fritas, french fries, mamey shake and Marteva for my son. Took a bite and the burgers were very juicy and tasty French fries were on point. Shake was delicious. It was definitely worth the drive. I can wait till they open another location in Hialeah(West 49th street). I would return a little more often.

Since my last review, I have been back a few times. The owner reached out and wanted to make up for the less than perfect experience I initially had by inviting me back to try anything on the menu on them. I was absolutely BLOWNAWAY by that type of dedication to excellent customer service! I have since tried the Vaga Frita which is so tasty and the PANCONBISTEC which is now one of MYFAVORITE sandwiches period. Great job to the owner of this establishment for working so hard to ensure your customers are completely satisfied. You’ve won me over as a loyal customer by both your amazing customer service and your awesome steak sandwiches!!! Keep up the great work :)
