Mer. The falafels had a good flavor but were quite dry. The meat was pretty good! But nothing crazy. My friend and I got kebab wraps and they go REAL heavy on the pickled veggies. I felt like my meal was overall sour. One of the employees even told me that I had to pay for a side of hot sauce! The lady at the register told me it was misinformation though so I didn’t end up having to pay. But I guess it speaks to misinformation between employees. I do enjoy the small menu though. It made picking my meal easier. They also have daily specials! That day, there was stuffed peppers with rice and beef! I also liked the fact that it’s in a market so you can also pick up other middle eastern favorites there.

Hands down the best Babaghanoush I have had in Florida. The beef shawarma was spiced better than the other places I’ve visited in Plantation. Service was a little slow due to being so busy but that’s how you know the offerings are superb. I could eat this every day and not get tired of it. The za3ttar fries are fantastic.

Service is just as important as the food served. I’ve been fond of eating at the Daily Bread for over 20 years, but as of the passing of the restaurant’s patriarch, service has take a steep decline. I just left the restaurant after waiting over 10 minutes with a line of two people, present company included. All the while the three servers scratched their legs on the floor like a bunch of hens trying to figure out whether to comp the delivery person a soda. I’ll admit that my rant may be a tad unjustly given that all I demonstrated was a scowl and grunt to demonstrate my grievance. As for the food, my prior experience has been satisfying relative to the price paid. So, I will be venture their way in the future as Middle Eastern food isn’t that easy to come by in Miami.

I’m Lebanese so having this is awesome! The food is great and authentic. I do wish they would tidy up a bit. the place would use a facelift. The staff could be a little more friendly. But I give it higher stars because the food is yummy! The rest could use some work

Diverse times of food, olives are delicious. I only have them 2 stars because their phone customer service is bad. The lady didn’t speak English, so it was hard to tell her my order. First of all, the lady answered the phone got my supposed order didn’t even say please hold and started talking to another customer. Minutes later got back me and totally forgot what I had inquired. I really like this store, but I don’t recommend for you to call.

This is a quick café/market selling traditional Middle Eastern dishes. I’ve been coming to this place for four years now. My favorite dish is kafta with rice pilaf and greek salad! Lots of flavor! I always add pita bread and baba ghanoush to bring home. It’s the best! Also check out their market, they sell pastries, yogurt, jams, olives, fresh pita bread and all the good stuff. The staff is friendly and helpful! Also check out their other middle eastern restaurant Harvest Delight, located in Doral!

I come here when I want my quick affordable fix from the Middle East. It’s half grocery store and restaurant so after I’m done eating my falafel, I go shopping a bit. I love to get my olives and olive oil from here. They also have dried goods and grape leaves

Love love love this place! I’ve been coming to this Mediterranean market/restaurant for several years now and the food is just as good as it was the first time I tried it! The chicken platter is my absolute favorite. The chicken is so juicy and thick, it’s truly delicious. The platter also comes with 3 sides which is very filling. I like to get the hummus, the pilaf rice and tabouli salad. Yum yum yum! If you’re looking for a quick fix of Mediterranean food, please make a pit stop here. You won’t regret it. P.S I suggest you also leave with a piece of baklava to satisfy your sweet tooth. Best ever!

I really feel outcasted when I say I don’t like hummus. Shawarma is pretty gross too! But then I tried The Daily Bread and my taste buds have changed their mind! I can’t remember the name of everything I ate to be completely honest. Someone placed the order for me because I was stubborn and very naïve to how amazing this food could really taste. I just had not been properly exposed! From what I do know, and remember the name of, the kibbeh, shawarma, and hummus I had were the best I ever had(best I ever had, best I ever had). I’ll be back here, and only here, whenever I get that odd craving for falafel!

I liked the food here it was good and fresh, that’s why I am giving it a 4 star. But my overall first impression was that it had a weird layout and could use an update. To the right there is the supermarket area with metal shelfs, to the left it looked like a school cafeteria type of serving area, the staff yelling at each other, etc… In the middle a glass bakery style display but there was nobody there to help you out. I would return just because the food and price was good and I loved that the dishes came with 3 sides. The tabbouleh salad was very good. The layout of serving food was a mess, the lady that took our order was back and forward depending on what you order as somethings are inside the kitchen. We wanted to try the baklava and hope next time we can get some help in the bakery section in the middle to order it. There was this young guy that was stocking pita breads, and an older gentlemen he was by the olive station in a little room there but they just looked at us, perhaps that’s not their job. Regardless we have seen good reviews and we will return to give it a second chance. We hope our next experience is better than this one.

I’m a big fan of the Daily Bread, but this location is the best. This location knows how to wrap your sandwich so that nothing drips(Yay!). The sandwiches are delicious, the specials of the day are always great(I love any of their mediterranean style veggies, which usually include eggplant!), & they have fresh filling salads, topped with feta/goat cheese. The other great reasons to come to this location: 1. the bakery with awesome middle eastern pastries(wedding cookies are delicate & perfect) 2. the grocery items(they even have a refrigerated section with their own products so that you can enjoy them at home).

Great Mediterranean food find near the Gables! This is a market mixed with a bakery mixed with a restaurant — one stop shop for all of your middle eastern cravings. On the right side of the store there are a few aisles filled with different packaged foods, sauces, spices, and fresh pita bread. On the right wall there is a cooler section that stocks freshly-made hummus, halloumi cheese, dates, and other deliciousness. Along the back wall is the bakery — I tried the lady finger and the turkish baklava, both of which were fresh, sweet, and rich. Toward the left side of the shop is the restaurant. You order at the counter and pay at the end of the counter, and there’s open seating with several small tables throughout the large space. I ordered the chicken sandwich and added hummus and garlic sauce — this is a must! The garlic sauce and hummus are absolutely fantastic. The bread was soft and the size of the sandwich was more than enough for 1 person — I couldn’t finish mine in one sitting. They have different platters that come with sides, a hummus plate, and appetizers that come on the side(ex: grape leaves). Lots of options and large portions — great place for a casual meal.

This place was named Healthiest Fast Food by UM’s student newspaper. It’s really a perfect title for this place. It looks like a cross between a grocerystore and cafeteria. But it’s worth coming here if you’r a foodie on a budget. I have to give it to them the food is fresh and authentic. I live for Greek food and the gyro platter was awesome. If the service here was as smooth as there hummus I would bring a date. Personally I’m set with grabbing it to go. Baklava, a Greek gyro platters with three sides, a chicken platter with three sides, Zaatar fries, and a couple of drinks came to 26 bucks. Not bad at all!

This venue has been around for several decades. There is no where like it in South Florida(I’ve looked). It’s half restaurant/half grocery store which I think is brilliant Indoor/outdoor seating Parking is a little tight but you never wait long for a spot(it’s worth it) Even other venues I know go there to buy spinach pies for their restaurants and serve there customers The only cons I can think of is their olives are over priced and they don’t play middle eastern music like they used to which gave a great setting to the atmosphere now regular everyday music but that’s here nor there I’m only there for the food and groceries

I love this place! You get a lot of delicious food for a fair price. I personally love salads, so I always get the house and tabouli; both are delicious and well seasoned! Their meat can be a bit dry sometimes, but it’s always flavorful. And the best of all: the hummus. You MUST get the hummus, it’s just finger-licking good. Ask for the bread warm to accompany it(you’re welcome!).

Large store, although parking can be a bit of a problem if you come during lunchtime, because the lot gets full, and the lines inside will wrap all the way around the store. The marketplace is pretty comprehensive, carrying lots of merchandise, but it seems the most popular thing here is the ready-made food. They run specials on their food, but even if you decide not to go with a special, their prices are quite low. I ordered a gyro salad. I liked the fact that unlike Daily Bread in Pinecrest, they offer a gyro salad option. I also liked the fact that unlike the Pinecrest store, their prices are $ 2-$ 3 lower. It’s much closer to me than the Pinecrest store, but I do prefer the Pinecrest store only because their dressing is a lot more flavorful, better seasoned and less oily because I think they mix it with vinegar. They also pour it all over your salad, so you end up getting more, and here you just get one of those little plastic containers for the entire salad. I also prefer the other store’s shredded iceberg lettuce, whereas here, the Romaine lettuce had a lot of stalks, and I don’t like an abundance of stalks. I know both stores have the same name, but they’re not affiliated with each other. The advantage here is the savings, but if you’re going for taste rather than savings, you should probably head to the Pinecrest Daily Bread, or at least, try the two and make your own decision and see if you agree with me.
