We ended up here by mistake one night. We wanted to check out Mekka, but somehow the cab driver dropped us at Discotekka entrance. Maybe he assumed we were together or something, and y’all know «when you assume, you makes an ass out of u and me. In this case he, the cab driver, was the ass, not me!
From what I can recall, the cover charge was $ 10, with long line outside the door. Once we were inside, It was too loud, and too dark with flashing lights. I believe I saw some poles and shaking «Cadillacs.» The vibe was a bit weird and uncomfortable.
Never again.

Arrived about 11pm on a Saturday night. I am not sure if this is a gay or straight club, couldn’t figure it out. We made a line outside for what reason, I don’t know. Club was reasonably full. The music was so bad even Shazam couldn’t identify the songs. 2 d-j’s that couldn’t mix. Miami being such an international city has gone to hell from a dance club stand point for the gay crowd. I don’t really want to go to a straight club with my boyfriend but I am thinking about it just to get a good DJ. I went here since they advertise in HOTSPOTS and GUYS magazine… both gay rags. NO ONE was dancing, just sitting around looking at Facebook and taking selfies. Finally left at 1am, bored out of my mind. Drove past E11even, which looked like it was getting a swining crowd. I have never been there, maybe that is the next venture even though it is straight, I might even have a good time. The crowd at Discotekka is about 18 years old and up.

This place used to be good but they overestimated themselves. I paid 20 dollars on Memorial Day weekend to walk into an empty club. What club charges 20 bucks? I get it if it was space or ultra l. For a slow night bar tenders were still rude and took forever with drinks. Some annoying girl kept following us around flashing a camera in our face trying to get a picture of us. I would really have to go out of my way to go back.

Loved the music most of all. Coming from Austin, I never get to hear hip hop music in a gay club, and I especially love Nicki Minaj (who I’m guessing is a Miami city hero based on how much she is played!). The drinks were reasonable and the staff were all fun. Go to the Pride foam party if you’re around during that time of the year, it’s hands down the best foam party I’ve ever been to!

If I could give it zero stars I would. $ 36 for 2 well drinks and a water (automatically bottled for $ 5)…I DON’T THINK SO!!! first and last time here!!!

i haven’t been back for about 5 month because the times i HAVE gone its full of children and i get scared because I don’t want to be talking to to a mature looking guy and he tells me hes 17 … got to jail and become someones b*tch
this is not a mature club. its more of a: ** teeny bopper voice** like OMG lets get Fu*ked up and just do it cuz lol YOLO” ugh… stay home guys buy a 24 pack and invite some close friends

What a fun place to boogie down and get your «thang» moving! My partner and I came here during their busy Saturday and came highly recommended since they have live shows. The patrons here were super nice though mostly Latinos (super hot too ay Mama Mia), they even provided us tippers to bar hop in the neighborhood when they found out we were tourist.
The décor is somewhat eclectic with a nice bright stage. The bartenders are super hot baring their studly chest and cheeky sweet smile. It made my mouth water and luckily my partner is a cool with it (not the jealous type thank goodness pordios santo mio)! The Transgender hosts are so funny, they made our visit here fun and memorable.
PS they do offer special events especially during Halloween and NYE. A must try for you party goers!

It’s all right. Depending on who is promoting that specific weekend is how the night will go. If it’s Miami Gay Blog, you’re going to have a fun time. If it’s by Milancita, then you’re going to be yelled at for not being able to translate the Spanglish posted on the requirements for Guest List requirements. Yes, I’m bitter. heh.
In short: drinks are ok, door service is horrible, music is decent, cover and parking are too much for what you get.

15, 16 yr olds for $ 40 bucks a piece,
i was in line and the 2 little girls in front of me
(16 yrs ea) told me and i quote
” if your not 18, just fold up $ 40 behind your id card or even debit card and give it to Alex Rock or whoever is there, No Problem
” i watched it myself, they even told me they were only 16.

This weekend was my first time at Discotekka and all I can say is I loooooooooooooooved it!!! I have never been to a club like this and I was pleasantly surprised. I went out with a couple of my friends and we had a blast. No cover before 12pm. The drinks were a bit pricey for the size but the atmosphere made up for it. The bartenders were nice especially the Venezuelan hottie at the front bar. Definitely headed that way again…

Well it looks like no one has written a review since last year. Well I guess I’ll have to do it then :) … anyways last time was here was around 2007. I came here last night with couple of friends after our drinking binge in Miami. Discotekka by the way boys & girls they charge an entrance fee anywhere from $ 10 — $ 20. I don’t know exactly how much but thats the range and its after a certain time which I would assume 12am. Since last night was St. Patricks Day anything passed 1am was a cover charge… but anyways just an FYI.
The club really hasn’t changed from the last time I was there, the crowd: sighs: is a very young young crowd we’re talking about kids 18+ which I mean… if you like em that young then this is the place to be… That being said 18 yearolds are like puppies, what happens when you take a puppy outside they go wild … well thats how it was… a club filled with puppies running around crazy in a club. In my personal opinion I didn’t have a good time, cause of the age crowd, the older guys that were there obviously looked like sexual predators just watching all of us which is sick.
The cost of the alcohol wasn’t that bad, but again i can’t stress enough that I came for st. patricks day so they did reduce there prices on drinks. From different reports of friends who come here religiously the prices can range for vodka tonic from $ 8 and up I believe. The drinks are ok they’re pretty strong which is decent is another good thing… on top of that they had a drag show which was pretty funny, OH AND DON’T USE THE ATM THEY CHARGE YOU $ 7.99 FEE TO PULL OUT MONEY. Yea so if you’re pulling out $ 40.00 you’re going to end up pulling out $ 47.99 … also there is a $ 50 minimum charge on the credit card if you want to have a tab open which is pretty ridiculous.
Anyways would I recommend this place yes I guess you can say that… this just my personal opinion… :)

This place is awesome! There is always a cover at the door, but well worth it. The environment inside is nothing but FUN FUN FUN! This place gives the younger LBTQ community (18 – 20) a place to meet others. The music is always the best and the party does not stop til the morning comes up! If it was not $ 20 to get in I would go more often. Lots of fun themes and great people!

Great place, young and older are all welcome, better music than many straight clubs in my opinion

I went here with my partner and his friends during a visit to Miami and it is a great place! When you hear the name you would think it’s some corny place with drag performances like in The Birdcage, but nothing could be farther from the truth. It was nicely decorated, nicely lit and HUGE. There was a cover of course, but the guys who collected it were not rude at all as is normally the case.
The other patrons were young, attractive, and not formal at all. This is a gay club after all.
The music was great if you like Latin house, classic house, hip hop, etc. It is definitely not Top 40, which I thought was great. My only problem was how loud the music was, and trust me it was LOUD. I actually woke up the next afternoon not being able to hear normally. It took about a day for my hearing to be restored, and I’m pretty sure some permanent damage was done to my ears.
The drinks were FANTASTIC!!! If you’ve never had a Blue Long Island Ice Tea, try it here. You can start a tab with no problem.
This place is gay clubbing at its best. Try it!

birthdays are special celebrations therefore its ok to celebrate crazy stylo. it was Y’s bday, and we met up for dinner with some other friends of hers earlier in the evening, then the plan was to go out somewhere. thing is, Y has a lot of gay friends and they all came to dinner so when it was time to decide what where to go for drinks and some dancing action, well… they suggested discotekka, a place ive heard of before, so i knew it was a gay bar. aha! oh no. straight boy going to a gay bar. is this what happens through every-straight-man’s brain when they are about to cross the gates of a gay bar? $ 20 cover. ouch. walked in and went straight to the bar, haha, thats funny. anywaysm i got a couple of vodka drinks at $ 8 each. the place was kinda empty, it was just past midnight. good thing about that night? i got free drinks. how awesome is that? lemon drop, tequila shot, i didnt pay for those so i cant even comment on the service, i just wanted to brag. free drinks? thanks. place got going like at 230am, lots of people, crazy people, the barterders which of course are all male, were suddenly topless. crazy bitches everywhere. seemed like everybody was having a good time. DJ announced shot of patron for $ 4 and Y’s friend got everybody a round. booya!

I once worked for this lovely establishment so I can say I’ve seen it at it’s best and at it’s worst.
Friday nights it’s the «ladies that love ladies night» so guys if you are straight and are heading out there good luck. Both Saturday and Sunday night they have after hours and boy do i miss the scene. Nothing like leaving a club after 8 hours of partying only to notice that it’s bright as can be outside oh the memories. The bottle service is good to depending on when you go. You can get a bottle of your favorite vodka with all mixers for as low as $ 120 maybe even lower if you know the right Person is *wink wink *
Depending on the theme of the night there could be several performers. By performers I mean tyranny’s AND some drag queens. It doesn’t matter what night you go because your in for a real teat. As these umm girls love to perform.
If my memory serves me correct they still own a 23 hour liquor license. So the party never really stops. Sunday morning after hours starts at 5am. Then if your still in the mood it picks ups again at 11am goes till about 8pm when the club closes down restocks and prepares to open again that night.
So if you think you can handle All the action and the non stop partying this is the place to be weekend nights !

Miami heat in the middle of Washington winter was the best! Discotekka reminded me of a NYC nightclub surrounded by the flyest latinos. What can I say, I had a great time at this place. On a Saturday night, this place was extremely packed! I’m usually against packed places to the point where it gets tough to maneuver from place to place, but the eye candy made it all better. The space is big enough, not too small. They play house music in one room and in the other they mix it up with reggaeton and hip-​hop. Listening to reggaeton brought me back to the FUN party days. You can’t find that kind of atmosphere anywhere up here in WA so it was great to feel like I was at a place where I was «back at home». Thank you Disco, you definitely met my standards ;)

I went here for the first time last year. It was massive on the inside — lots of space. There’s also an outside lounge area. Music was loud drum n bass, they had some drag queens, and some go-​go dancers. It was your pretty standard gay bar.
