I come here often and never have a problem. The lady who always attends me when I come wasn’t here and the other lady who is always here too attended me. I asked for 4 items 2 of each item. As I’m ordering she was correcting an order from the previous client she screwed up. She gave me 1 item and told me 2 min for the others to come out and charged me. When I get my order she only charged me 1 cachito design hamon y queso. She had the nerve to say in front of me to the other cashier she was going to place a recorder at the register. Hopefully she meant to record people and she can hear how she isn’t getting the orders correct. She was rude. I probably won’t go back for a while.

Lard– Well for most people especially in Miami they don’t care if they eat Lard because most bakeries use more than what people realize because they don’t seem to ask the baker how it’s «really» made. Knowing this I would of thought the French Bread wouldn’t be violated with Lard. I bought two but when I got home and noticed the texture and the outer shell was flaking off I knew this was a sign of Lard. I wrote to Don Pan company to get to the bottom of it and they responded that Lard is «not» used to make the French bread instead they use«margarine». But being in Miami and knowing how bakers cook around here I went back to Don Pan to ask the baker. Well guess what they use Margarine and Lard together. Being Raised in New Orleans where French Bread is a staple like Cuban bread is to Miami I was very disappointed that Don Pan doesn’t honor the French Bread and other ingredients like Lard is added to something that what they say officially doesn’t have.

The food and the place are really good, but they have a big problem with the service. Yesterday, I ordered in the morning a order to pick up in the afternoon. When I walk in at 4:00 pm to picked up, they didn’t have my order ready because they thought that it was for the next day. It was the second time that happened to me in the same place. For that reason, the lost me as a client. They have to be more responsible with the time of their clients.

Outstanding location and very clean inside. I like their location better than when it was in the street since the old location seemed too large. Delicious food and coffee!

WORSTSERVICEEVER! I am not one to complain but seriously, rudest staff ever! I decided to leave and not spend my money here. They need a nicer welcoming staff, than those stuck up bitter ladies!

Their guava and cheese tequenos are sooo good! You have to try one… or two! It’s also a nice spot to sit back, relax and use the Wi-Fi.

Good food, ok prices, slow service, rude workers. For some reason they won’t take orders over the phone. You can expect to wait in line for a good 20 minutes on the weekend, having better things to do than wait in line at a cafeteria style restaurant, I tried calling ahead to which the workers always make it seem like they’ve never heard the concept of taking an order if the person is not in front of them. I keep coming back for the cachapas and arepas but if not I would be long gone.

I fell in love with Arepas a while ago. I have defended their arepas also for a while. Those arepas you get at the Calle 8 festival has nothing to do with Don Pan Arepas. I took my wife now, girlfriend back them to convince her that about the true meaning of arepas. You gottan love the pan de cachito and cakes. It is definitely different for people from other cultures. Many Americans haven’t tried this place and I think they are missing out. Not every meal has to be salmon, brocholli, steak and asparrgus.

Pastry Wonderland! This is the only bakery that I would be willing to die in and go to heaven(just kidding)… I’m like a child when I walk in here! There are other Don Pan’s in the Miami Area, but for some reason, this is it. Woweee!

Don Pan has moved into a smaller location, on Kendall Drive. I reccomend their chicken empanada, shredded moist chicken inside a nice golden breading. The cheese pastilitos are amazing with sugar. Best in Miami. Warning: These people dont speak english and the service here is below standards, ill suffice the poor service for the awesome empanadas.

I had this longing for a guava and cheese pastry. I step into Don Pan all excited for this pastry. They are out of guava and cheese pastries. I am overcome with sadness and disappointment, when I see… Freshly baked plain old guava pastries, but no cheese. Since, it is fresh; I go for the 99 cent pastry. I eat it and instantly carnage in my mouth since it is so hot. It is so good that I do not care about my mouth being burned. I devoured it about 15 seconds, literally. I had to get seconds. I did. I devoured that one a little slower in about 30 seconds. Yes, their guava pastries are the bomb diggity.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I am Venezuelan and I am used to eating authentic Venezuelan food — they have it! I have tried their arepas, cachapas, cachitos, tequeños, etc… everything is delicious and made fresh! Their pricing is not so bad — its actually food for the quality of the food and the serving is decent! I have also tried their pastries and cakes and they are amazing! Their service is great! We usually go on the weekends for breakfast and it’s their busiest time, but they are quick and very helpful! I love ordering with a girl named Barbarita — she is super sweet and always has a smile on her face! The only thing is that I wish they had more places to sit but what my fiancé and I have been doing lately is take out breakfast home!

I am Venezuelan and slowly but surely I have converted my American BF via food! Love the Cachapas with queso guayanes and shredded meat empanadas. Early morning always has its crowd, but the ladies there know how to be quick and efficient! TIP: Perfect treats not just for breakfast, but to the beach or picnics — TEQUENOS

I used to go to the store was in front of kendall drive, the food was good but the customer service was very impersonal, perhaps because the place was really big, now they moved to this new smaller store and more welcoming, is much nicer eat here, and the Venezuelan arepas, the best!

5 stars for the empanadas, minus one star for the surly waitstaff. They seemed standoffish, although that might be partly due to the fact that I don’t know how to speak Spanish. They weren’t very welcoming either. However, the empanadas were the best I’ve ever had. Also, the cubano and romano sandwiches were pretty tasty.
