I was in Miami for work and I found this excellent Italian gelato parlor. Great variety of flavors made with fresh, organic, and gluten free ingredients and not from powder like in many other places. A nice discovery in a business neighborhood.

4.5 What a pleasant surprise! I was walking Downtown on a hot Thursday in mid-summer, frustrated with my inability to find a business that was open… when I ran info(physically) the owner of Eccolopops and his pup. He was just opening his store and he invited me in to check it out. Never one to turn down a popsicle, I gladly walked inside the store to take in the splendor of A/C, the bright white décor and decide what to order. Deciding was a hardship* because there were so many enticing flavors. You can either go traditional or go for a mix. Whatever you decide, make sure to get a couple of samples first**. The consistency evokes memories of the best Italian ice you’ve had — which makes sense given these pops are 100% vegan. There’s no milk; there’s only fruit. After being overwhelmed with all the fresh goodness, I thought I’d settled on kiwi gelato(oh, I didn’t mention? There’s gelato as well.)… but then I saw it: the papaya-lime mix. Done! I was planning on doing some more(fruitless) roaming around Downtown so I thought I was going to have to eat the pop right then and there — which wouldn’t have been a bad thing. The owner intervened and gave me a bag with an ice pack to keep my pop cold. What? Huh?! You MUST be new to town what with the kindness, customer service and all. Please don’t let Miami break you. Miami, please be good to this guy, his wonderful product and his cute puppy. Oh. The popsicle? CRAZY good. I could taste both sets of fresh fruit flavors and the combo was an awesome mix of sweet & tart. This is the kind of dessert you don’t feel bad about eating all the time. It’s frozen fruit. It’s good for you. Eat it and patronize this business! *Yes, first world. **Only do this if you’re going to buy something. Don’t be that guy/girl.

This is just the place I was searching for! An authentic ice cream shop without the use of dairy products. Everything is naturally made. The environment is very welcoming and friendly. This was such an unexpected gem. I wish there was an Eccolo Pops in the South Miami area! I highly recommend this place. You are only going to want to come back for more! Love it, love it !

Coming to Miami monthly for the last 17 years and watching it blossom again is inspiring. This modern beautifully presented shop fits into the new atmosphere of younger people living and working in Miami. I was greeted by a friendly Jack Russel Terrier and visually drawn to the über modern pop carts. I loved the choices of all dairy free pops. The packing design is only to be found in Italy. The service was friendly and quick. Watch out New York Miami is becoming an incubator for creativity in the retail space. They can provide catering with their adorable push cart too. I am glad to have found a new stop off for a cool treat. My favorite was the Orange Pop.
