Green Spot Botanicals

I have been consuming kava for a few years now; however, this place brings a whole new cool side to it! They serve kava cocktails as single and double cocktails with optional flavoring. It’s super affordable and super effective. I should also mention (for those not so familiar with kava) that the guy working at the bar was really nice and helpful! I will definitely be going back!

This place is awesome! Definitely a hidden gem. I don’t give very many 5 stars but they deserve it. Guy working at the front (can’t remember his name.) was really cool and knowledgable. They have pool, arcade/​table games, a cool atmosphere and smoke shop. They could add places to sit and maybe more things to the menu.

I finally had the opportunity to stop by Green Spot yesterday and try their Kava Cocktails and I’m SO glad I did because this place is ah-​ma-​zing!
Kava root can be consumed and the extract serves as a potent sedative and mood enhancer. The cocktails are mixed with flavoring of your choice and served cold to help mask the pungent, bitter taste of the extract.
Based on the employee’s recommendation, I ordered a spiced brown sugar cocktail with one scoop of kava powder. My boyfriend opted for a mojito cocktail with one scoop. The texture is chalky and the drunk tastes herbal despite the added flavoring. I liked how the brown sugar tasted with the kava better than the mojito, but both were tasty in my opinion, however it’s definitely an acquired taste. The effect is almost immediately noticeable and creates a numbing sensation when being consumed that I thought was pretty cool, but my boyfriend wasn’t too crazy about. The space also serves as a small was shop and a lounge with a ton of games, from pool to jenga.
Overall an awesome place to hang out with friends and relax. All the employees were super helpful and knowledgable about their products and services. I think I’m hooked! Definitely coming back again this week!
