Visited this bar recently while at an event with my sister and just had the most unpleasant experience. Did not wait to get in as door staff was friendly, wish I could say the same for inside. Event had not begun and bar was half empty and we were literally ignored by 3 bartenders, as in let me count the pennies in the cash register rather than take your drink order. Odd, as in one would think that a bar is in the drink serving business? They were snobby, obnoxious and rude, did not acknowledge us as would any normal human being that is busy with someone else but that will get to you shortly, instead it truly felt like they were punishing us as opposed to I don’t know, doing their job? Once drinks were served, with the cheapest pour I have ever witnessed, I was floored at how RIDICULOUSLY expensive they were. One expects to pay a premium for the convenience of an easy access no wait bar at an event but not to be swindled. I won’t even document the armed robbery as I don’t want to remind myself, but I found hilarious that the bartender included an 18% tip for himself despite having given little to no service. The worst service and ridiculous prices!

I’ve visited the AAA several times for events, mainly for disney on ice. This place is huge, so come prepared to walk. Every time we go for disney on ice, it’s a mission— mainly because I have a toddler at tow. Between parking, walking to nearest elevator, walking to are where you are seated, it’s a struggle. Aside from what I stated above, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Food items are expensive, but then again, food and drinks usually are in locations such as this. I’ve been seated in high up seats, and also at the very bottom, I would really prefer towards the middle(unless in first row), as it is hard to see if you sit in 4 – 5 row because there is no angel between your chair and chair in front — hope this makes sense. Overall, it’s a good arena, with friendly staff. Could improve on food quality and having more guest service areas where you can drop off stroller — last time I took stroller had to carry my 50 lbs child for blocks. They are children after all, they get tired and we end up having to carry them.

Parking is a b$*ch! The walk up is horrible if u wear heels. Food selection is ok… However, it’s an okay place. I was just really excited about the game!

Hi. I was at Hyde on Monday when the Heat played the Raptors. Here is an overview of the place and my experience: First off there is an air of snobbery which is far from warranted. We did not pay or wait to get in, mind you and had passes but still. When we asked the bartender if we could sit prior to the game to eat, she made it look like it was a big deal. Hyde is empty and is overpriced. Did she really need to fake-ask someone if there was an available table? It’s 6:50. I’m pretty sure no else was coming in to eat prior to the game(tip-off was 7:30). We sat down, had a few rolls and some drinks. The drinks were good and the sushi rolls were tasty. But the drinks are priced in the SET/LIV price range. The sushi is priced at Nobu price levels. Really? I have to wholeheartedly agree with Sabrina Anna’s review. They took an obscure storage space and made it into a «club». Does this space, service and food command $ 18 drinks and $ 24 sushi rolls? Pa-leese. After the game we came back at halftime. The same, wanna-be upscale, apathetic service was provided. They reminded us that certain places were reserved. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes directly at the average looking, subpar barmaid. We had some drinks and returned after the game. As we exercised the definition of insanity we were met with the same nonsense. We were told they would have to «see if we could be accommodated» and«did we have a reservation. Half of the tables were empty. I’ve been to both private and exclusive clubs in Miami, NYC and Europe. I get that some places are more pretentious than others. But it’s ok to be snotty if your establishment actually IS, all that. We easily dropped $ 400 that night for two people I don’t have time for places that falsely think they are fabulous when they are basically a glorified broom closet.

We came hear on Saturday night for a private Bday party for a friend. The party itself was a blast! The club though, was a little on the weak side. Just a storage room turned into a «club». For a «club» at the champs house, this place is def not up to par. For $ 20 a drink, I am going somewhere else.

Jessica, our bartender, who was very courteous, did an excellent job with my AirMail martini and the pineapple Smash. However the vibe in this lounge was not as lively as the rest of the Heat Road Rally. I fear that for any event that you are trying to attend at the Arena, if you go to Hyde then you lose the hype by going to Hyde. You are so far removed it would feel as if you’re not LIVE at an event. Proceed with caution. Also, prices are South Beach + Arena pricing.

The drinks are a little pricey ranging from $ 9-$ 22 for mixed drinks. Bottles service is available along with a food menu that includes sushi, typically during Miami HEAT home games. You can also often spot the basketball players girlfriends, finances and wives mingling at the VIP tables. Overall, a nice lounge to hang out at after games. If you decide to dish out for a skanky VIP table experience it doesn’t necessarily mean you get access to the arena. You remain inside the Hyde lounge, therefore treated more like a watch party. You view the game on flat screens as there’s no view of the court from this«under the bleachers,» lounge.

Anyone that knows what SBE is all about knows that they do entertainment, restaurants, lounges, and night clubs first class. I was excited when SBE ventured into the Miami nightclub scene to see how people would react. I went to Hyde at the AmericanAirlines Arena and was impressed with the layout and the club is somewhat divided into sections. I was able to sit down and enjoy sushi and other tapas there as I watched the Miami Heat dominate the competition. After the game was over, I was able to rub shoulders with a multitude of celebrities that attended the game. One of my favorite was seeing Gabrielle Union and her friends having a good time laughing it up. I was able to meet her and I must admit it was a great experience. If at anytime you watch the games at home and you get a chance to scan the crowd and see all of the celebrities, chances are you will see them in Hyde. Like any high profile club, be prepared to pay to play but with the way the environment is laid out and the beautiful people you will see there, it makes it worth while. Make sure you meet the resident Hype man Little Dave and let him wow you with his antics and for the service there it can’t be beat. I will definitely be going back especially when they introduce Heat games when they are on the road for Heat viewing night, because after that, it turns into that hip night club that all Miami-ans have come to love. Check it out and have a great time.

Dear Hyde, I will admit… I wasn’t impressed. At all. Hyde is just an over-sized storage room of the AAA turned into a «club» with some pretty LED lights throughout the ceiling. We came here this past Friday night after the Heat’s loss to the Bulls. Although we didn’t win, Miami was ready to party and the lines to enter this place were long. My fiancé, having the charm of James Bond, got us into the club, no cover charge/no wait, within minutes, and I’ll be honest, I felt like a rockstar! However, once inside, I felt like I was inside of a gym-turned-club. Your space seems very crammed; there were way too many people inside, and the layout is what I found to be the worst part. The bar is in the middle, however, it basically divides the club in 2, except that the separation does not make it 2 separate rooms, just 1 room that is terribly blocked by a bar in the middle. The DJ booth is basically above/on the bar, which I also though was weird. The VIP tables are crammed against the walls of the space, only differentiated by being atop a 6-inch high platform. The drink prices were also steep, but not the worst I’ve seen. But still, $ 64 for 4 drinks total(1 was a beer), is not cheap… We had our drinks, took in the debauchery, and left. Definitely unimpressed, but glad I had the opportunity to check you out. On a funny note, the night I was here your club had a midget in a cop uniform running around, dancing with all the little girls, bringing bottle to VIP, and otherwise causing a general ruckus, which was a treat to experience! Good luck Hyde. I wish you the best. You know how things go in this town… Better luck next time? SabrinaAnna*
