Tiny place hidden in Downtown Dadeland. Weird sushi combos. Made my stomach hurt after we ate here. The prices are cheap but you get what you pay for. They serve the sushi on little plastic trays which was OK. Staff was nice. Ordering was a little confusing. We sat at the little sushi bar area and we thought you just order with the chef but he looked at us like a deer in head lights as he called out for someone to come take our order. Later we saw someone else come in and they ordered at the register paid and then sat down so I guess that is what you are supposed to do.

The quality has dramatically changed in the past months. Due to the convenience in location, I’ve visited this place at least 2 – 3 times per month since the day they opened. I can honestly say it’s not good quality(food or service) any longer. I’ve given them several opportunities by going at different times of the day during the week & weekends. I’ve tried different menu items as well. While the food is slightly better/cheaper than lets say Publix or Whole Foods Sushi Maki, it’s doesn’t come close to what it was before. Making an order by phone may test your patience. As soon as they answer the call, you’re either directly told to hold after the greeting or you’ll need to repeat your order more than once for them to get it correct. Then when you go to pick up your food, you’ll also receive annoyed faces and somewhat of a bad attitude. That is until you hand them your cash or card to pay. The previous sushi chef(female) was always pleasant, greeted you and provided excellent quality in the all the food she prepared. The person they have now rushes, gives you bad quality food and even smaller portions for the same price. He doesn’t even acknowledge you when you walk in or need to pay. As it stands the only positive side is that if you’re in the area looking to pick-up quick/cheap sushi rolls, they slightly provide a better option than Publix. Other than that, I do not recommend this location.

I love iron sushi! Taste great and great price! Very convenient for delivery! I used to order in coral gables and now this dadeland is as good as the gables one! Love it!

I won’t go here again. They get one star for the sushi which was ok everything else was horrible. We paid up front and gave a tip however we had to get up and ask for plates, napkins, drinks, anytime we needed anything we had to get ourselves. We got two napkins for our party of three. When we asked for extra napkins they gave us two more. We got up over 10 times for things that should have been brought to us. They were out of edamame… how does a sushi place run out of edamame.

Good people, fast service. Quaint little place. The problem is they slice their fish too thick and more than once the rice on the sushi what warm,(obviously just made) which cooked the salmon a bit. The flavor was bland. My co-workers prefer to go to a different place for sushi. The price is good.

I love the volcano roll it’s my favorite type of sushi and I must say I am highly disappointed in the quality and taste of the volcano roll at the dadeland location. They should probably take some notes on how to make a volcano roll from those over at Iron Sushi south beach. But other than that everything else is really good and when the food gets delivered to my job they’re always nice!

I was in town on business and next door at the World of Beer when the munchies it and I wanted food. The WOB doesnt have a kitchen so you are able to order food from the surrounding eateries and they will have it delivered to your WOB table! Sounds great! Right next door was Iron Sushi and it sounded good to me. I like variety so I ordered the«Honey Moon» meal which had Sashimi, Sushi rolls, California rolls, and i got a tuna hand roll for good measure. Well… was not impressed. Fish did not seem fresh, rice was slightly over cooked and the rolls didn’t have much to them. Kinda seemed dry, which shouldn’t be used when describing Sushi. Was hoping for better but this place just didn’t do it. Phatboy tested, palate not approved. :(

It’s OK if you’re looking for something in the area. So-so food. Not great but not bad. Only downside I experienced was when I asked for help getting their ‘free wifi’ — the password was not being accepted regardless of whether I tried upper-case or lower case and although I was the only customer in the place(it had just opened) they had an attitude about my asking about it and ignored my request to verify the password was indeed correct. So much for customer service. There are many other sushi restaurants that would be happy to have my business without the attitude.

I orders some food from iron sushi yesterday. First I have to tell you I had iron sushi in south beach twice. This was more than six year ago. It was horrible, so I told my self I would never order from them, never! My neighbor told me he had iron sushi and it was really good, I thought ok may be that have improve and now they know how to serve quality food. And this is in south Miami. I’m sunset! So I order few things. Eel roll, salmon skin roll, and spicy tuna hand roll. Guess what? It was still horrible, these guys still have not learn how to make sushi, rice was dry, fish had a smell to it, and look old. I again have wasted my money with these iron sushi! That’s it iron sushi Never again I will order from you!!!

When in need of a fast sushi fix. Iron Sushi hits the spot. It may not have the caché of Miyako’s, Sushi Ko, or Akashi but it definitely delivers(pardon the pun lol) their rolls are the standard fare but the fish is definitely fresh. They are also very consistent with their food, you get what you order every time with the same taste. I love their half and half roll, which they substitute for brown rice, like I like it! Their salads are fresh and their ginger dressing is tasty. They are conveniently located next door to World of Beer Dadeland and also deliver to about a three mile radius. I am dying to venture into their soups, which have a great reputation. Guess I am a victim of habit lol I tend to always order the same thing every time. :)

I usually eat at the one by the beach but i decided to order delivery from the dadeland location since it’s near by. They told me 30 – 40 min wait but they ended up taking 1 hour &45 mins! Customer service was horrible, they could have atleast called me to let me know they were backed up. When I called for an update, the guy who answered simply told me that they haven’t finished my order so that the sushi isn’t «lying around».

Where do I begin… Have been ordering from this place for a while now because of how conveniently close it is to my apt, everything through Eat24 so I never had to actually call in to the restaurant. Today I order three rolls, they only deliver two, although I have already pre paid for three. I actually call the restaurant and they say they didn’t deliver because they ran out of brown rice. So because you ran out of brown rice you don’t deliver something I already paid for?! … They say they will deliver, okay no problem. Let me just wait another hour! We actually decide we want to order another roll so we call in again. First call they hang up on us. Second call a man named Jay, J A Y, he was very clear in the spelling of his name, tells me «we know you’re missing the roll it’s on the way we can’t talk» … VERYRUDE! Then a lady gets the phone, let’s not even try to discuss her manners, or lack there of. She says«the roll is on the way, if you’re not going to order anything else I can’t talk, there are people here». I will NEVER order from this place again. Their customer service is really really really bad, please let me emphasize REALLYBAD! Stay away… The sushi isn’t even that great to put up with someone’s bad attitude. I would give it ZERO stars if possible.

Wife and I love this place, the sushi is consistent with their other locations and for the price and world of beer next door, great value. Not the best sushi but it’s above average, saw the back in the kitchen and notices the huge salmon fish being cut for the rolls, no frozen salmon delivered or purchased precut as other places.

Salad was fresh and tasty. I really liked the dressing(it wasn’t the typical ginger dressing with most side salads at Japanese places). The Alaska was fresh and flavorful — typical sushi with fish eggs on top(very tasty!). The Crispy Spy was good, but it was different from what I expected. It was 6 rice balls with the fish and whatever it was rolled in on top. It was a little hard to manage with chop sticks, but it tasted good nonetheless. I’ll certainly be back to try some other options when I’m around here.

I’ve been here twice now. The first thing that stood out are the puzzle and game books that line the wall. It makes for fun conversation and helps pass the time if you have to wait(which I did not). Both times I tried the nigiri & a sushi roll. Both times were pretty consistent. The fish was fresh but not cold, and the sticky rice was alright. All in all I think it’s excellent value for money. You’d have a tough time beating the quality for that price. Miso soup

I’ve come here twice now, and I have nothing to complain about! Sushi was made on the spot, the miso soup was excellent and fresh. Also, it’s very affordable. I mean, what you get for the price, makes it a four star place to me !

Just had a great meal at this place. They had a good selection of options to choose from. I chose the grilled eel bowl and a Jr tempura roll. The food came out very quickly and was very fresh. This is now one of my favorite places to come for a quick meal and get quality food. Highly recommended.

Ordered from this location for delivery at 6:09pm from my work place which is less than 2 miles away. 7:00pm comes along and I call to check on the status of my order only to be reassured that the driver has left and there is traffic. 7:30 comes along and all I can think is, «Is this really how I die?» Thankfully, the sweet delivery man arrives 5 minutes later with our sushi. I ordered the Amigo sushi platter. For $ 21.95, you get a California roll, a dancing eel roll, a tuna roll, a JB roll, and a crunch roll. This is an unbeatable price for 5 sushi rolls. Unfortunately, this place is about quantity over quality. All 5 rolls tasted the same, and the Crunch roll had MAYONAISE in it. Not spicy mayo, no… Miracle whip. So gross. I know it is delivery and close by, but never again will I order from here. For $ 27(delivery and tip) id rather eat at a good sushi restaurant. I feel a little ripped off after waiting nearly 2 hours for my terrible meal. Sigh. I hope management offers to fix this problem.

The sashimi wasn’t out of this world, but wasn’t horrible either. The main reason for giving it two stars instead of three is that I discovered the fish is frozen. How’d I know? One of the pieces was not quite frozen on the inside.
