Their chunky chicken salad is awesome but you have to try it with cheddar cheese on a croissant bleeping awesome.

My first time in this establishment, I decided to look around first to see what looked good. It was lunch time and I wanted something different. As soon as I walked in, at least three employees greeted me. Very friendly. That is why I give them one star. The cake and cookie display case was full and had a wonderful variety. However, nothing looked fresh. Everything looked like it had been sitting there for weeks. I came in on a Tuesday. Maybe they bake everything new closer to the weekend? I don’t know, but nothing looked appealing. When you see cakes that have condensation beads on the frosting/chocolate, it’s a bad sign. Then I moved over to the deli. As I looked at the sandwich menu, my sight stumbled upon he air conditioning vents. They were covered in dust and grease. Gross. The tile walls surrounding the deli were yellow with grease and grime. The tile is white but looks yellow because it hasn’t been scrubbed in YEARS. All the inside looks very old and dirty. The coolers against the wall that held cheese, yogurt and other dairy were nearly empty. And the inside of them looked old, worn or dirty, I’m not sure at this point. The place wasn’t packed, but there were 4 – 5 tables with people and several people inside ordering food. They must be seasoning their food with a healthy dose of antibiotics. They had a nice variety of prepared salads, breads baked in-house, etc. also some interesting(and quite pricey) items, like sets of smoked bacon salts($ 12 for three tiny containers… about 2 tablespoons each!), spices, jarred sauces, chutneys, etc. Another thing that turned me off was that many things in coolers or shelves didn’t have a price label on the shelf, and weren’t marked individually either so you have to go and ask for the price constantly. I looked at their hot food display. Again, the food looked like it had been sitting there for days. Publix deli’s hot foods look more appetizing(and I stay away from those). I am baffled by such great reviews. Even if people say the food is «excellent», my fear of getting Legionarie’s disease from their a/c vents was high enough that I ended up losing my appetite. I realize they have been in business for years and that is wonderful. I just can’t fathom serving food in those conditions.

Had a curry chicken sandwich, which was good — the curry chicken was flavorful but cold and a little dry. It would have been nice if they had given me the option to warm it up. While food was good(4 *), service was really lacking(2 *). Not warm or inviting at all. Counter staff need customer service 101 training. This was my first visit — I’ll give them one more chance.

Joanna’s is a perfect little deli/café/gourmet food spot. It is the great place to meet friends and have a coffee, or enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have a variety of delicious sandwiches, salads, and pre made items you can grab and go or sit down and enjoy there. They also have a dessert counter which looks incredible. When you place your order you can browse all the unique items they sell. Sea and truffle salt, wine, candy, chips, a million different drinks, and olive oil are just a few things that stood out in my mind. The sandwiches are awesome! Everything tastes fresh and I love how cozy it feels inside. They also do catering platters which look pretty awesome because I saw someone picking theirs up. It was relatively busy but We didn’t not wait long for our meal and quickly enjoyed it outside with a green tea. Whoever Joanna is I love her because a place like this is hard to find.

Not sure why I never walked into this little gem before, but its become our go-to after our Saturday morning WODs at Peak 360… They’ve got so many things to choose from but I have gotten their french breakfast wrap on spinach each time, and it does not disappoint. I only eat half, because its that big so my hubby can always eat the remaining half later on in the day. They’ve got all kinds of coffee for you to pour yourself, and different stations — one for baked goods, deli(where I get my wraps), and so on. They seem to have a neighborhood veggie co-op of some sort, but I haven’t inquired details — I just always see people picking up their greens from the boxes outside. The lady at the register is very sweet, and there are always plenty of people to help you with whatever you may need. They’ve got a few little tables inside if it’s too hot to be outside, but also have tables set up outside if you’re in the mood for some Vitamin D. Another big plus is that they also have my favorite ice cream from Bianco Gelato in the grove! What a win! We got 3 last time we went. So convenient! Stop by and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at this boutique little marketplace.

Grrr… WOOF! Both my masters came back talking about this place! This place deserves a Howlingggggg WOOF! They drove almost an hour from South Beach for pastrami… but no pastrami that day so they ordered Corned Beef! WOOF! MY master said it was the BEST Corned Beef Sandwich ever! Something called a Z sandwich… which Mike later explained to us! BEST? YEPPER… New York, San Francisco, LA… the BEST! So tender & tasty, sliced perfectly… the only thing that would make it better? If it was served on Langers(Los Angeles) double baked rye! And a «Double Woof» goes out to Cookoo Red… great customer service! So trust my master(a Chinese M.O.T from San Francisco) when he says the best Corned Beef… well worth the drive… order the #3…a tribute to Zimmerman…

Swung by for a quick breakfast bite before work. I was drawn in by the cozy gourmet deli bakery atmosphere. They have a huge selection of freshly baked goods. The croqueta truly was the best I’ve tried in quite some time. There’s something quite different and crispy, almost panko-like in the breading. Glanced over the menu and prices seem reasonable for this type of locally owned business. I’m definitely coming back to try something different.

We stumbled into this place after a quick Unilocal search for salads and we are in love! Everything is fresh and made in house which is hard to find these days, the service was great and I loved that they let you try things before ordering. They also have a great selection of organic products for sale. We will definitely be coming back for more! P.S try the Cuban cowboy sandwich. It was perfect for any Miamian.

Over priced market with baked goods, prepared foods, etc… Their food is ok. They have the same prepared foods since the beginning of time. You would think they would change things up a bit. Use to be more of a small market when they opened and moved more towards prepared foods. Their baked bread section has increased over the years to complete with the recent artisan breads fad that has caught on here in Miami. Although the artisan bread thing can be traced back the the 1992 book the Village Baker. The staff is not very friendly. Asking the staff questions about their pastries or baked goods or any other prepared food for that matter gets you the evil eye. Probably because the staff person has no idea about the product they are selling.

Went for breakfast and came out disappointed, the scrambled eggs were hard and the potatoes were cold and without any flavor. The lady who took care of me was not friendly and I had to repeat myself a couple of times. Very expensive, i don’t think I will visit this place again

Love this all in one bakery/deli/café! Joanna’s is definitely a local fave. A tad on the pricer side of things, this store carrys many specialty and local items and has a fantastic salads station. The sandwich menu offers delicious healthy and not so healthy choices for everyone. The ready-made warm foods are very good and change daily and the breads they make in store are an experience in themselves. The desserts are absolutely divine and worth a spurge. Close parking to the store can be a bit difficult during lunch time but spaces are available around the shopping center its self. If you haven’t checked out Joanna’s go take a peep, for me it’s always hard to leave without a little treat.

Went in to grab lunch and came out with horrible food that was grossly over priced. For starters, I went to order at the deli and the woman taking my order was too busy talking to the other staff to pay any attention to me. I had to repeat my order 3 times. After waiting 15 minutes(no one in front of me), they hand me my food and I could clearly see it wasn’t the correct order. My «pressed turkey and cheese with totmato» came out as a barely warm«grilled cheese». Not to mention my $ 10.45 turkey and cranberry chutney sandwich which was on stale bread and dry beyond belief. I would have been better off going to Subway and saved myself $ 40!

Discovered this local gem a few months ago from friends. Decided to stop by for coffee and breakfast. I got the French country side, it was so good and fresh! I could only eat half… well I could eat the whole thing but didn’t want to be utterly stuffed so saving it for my snack later. Coffee also was excellent. My only thing was they don’t have wifi… but I didn’t want to take away from them how great it really is. But I was hoping to enjoy my coffee and get some work done for an hour until the traffic let up a little…

This place is outrageously expensive and will tell you the«Brisket is for ten» when it is really more like brisket for 30 but they deliver in South Miami which means they have a captive audience. I have only used them for delivery and have never eaten there but the food came and was excellent brisket and side dishes. Their chicken parmgiana according to my hubby was very good but not amazing.

This place is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Yesterday, I went in and got a Big Fat Greek Wrap that was to die for. The sandwich plus a soda was around $ 12. A little pricy, but the quality of the wrap was really good. I went there for lunch today and was in and out in 10 minutes with a fresh salad with chicken and a ton of vegetables. It might be a little expensive, but the food is always fresh and delicious. This is the place to go for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner.

4.5 stars. I love the vibe and the variety of foods offered here. The spinach croquetas were absolutely delicious, the rye bread good(though it tasted a day or two old?) and the stuffed beignet was ridiculously generously sized and yummy. If I lived closer I would probably rely on the cooked foods section for dinner weekly. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

No time to cook? No problem! Swing by and pickup dinner for the family from their many options. You can even plate it and say you made it! ;)(just make sure to hide the containers!) Really though, I love this place! Everyone is very friendly and attentive, the place is very clean, and everything is delicious. They have a lot of healthy and vegetarian options too. I do a lot of presentations, and God forbid I forgot to order lunch ahead of time. I swing by JoAnna’s to pickup a bunch of sandwiches. Great location! Parking can be a little tricky at times, but I’ve never not found a spot, it’s more so that people are coming and going at all times, and this is right of 67th and US1. Oh — they have 2-for-1 breads before close. I love to take advantage of that!

This is one of my fav places for Sunday Breakfast. Not always do I need brunch, or mimosas. Sometimes I meet a friend there, have an AMAZING blueberry scone, a nespresso, catch up, and off you go! Be sure to shop store. The amaretti cookies or homemade biscotti will be great with nespressos at home later in the week.

All around excellent little market, deli, coffeeshop, bakery and prepared goods place very close to Dadeland mall. Completely obscured from us 1, it is located at the end of a strip mall. Service here is the standout. Everyone is so friendly. Definitely a family place. Will definitely be back.

From my first encounter with them… I’d say they were just ok. I stopped by mid-day in the middle of the week for a quick lunch. I ordered a #28: Turkey Cucumber Brie which is «fresh turkey, brie, cucumbers, and passionfruit wasabi mustard on grilled multigrain bread». The sandwich was just a little too dry for my taste. The passionfruit wasabi mustard was truly delicious, I just felt they could have been more generous with the mustard(and with the brie as well). When I stepped in the store it was filled with a large and quality selection of cheeses, breads, pastries, meats, and prepared foods. It’s a lovely store. Although the sandwich was underwhelming, I will likely be back to try some of the pastries and desserts.

What a hidden gem I wish I only lived closer to this amazing market. I found this place on Unilocal when I was heading south to run errands. First, the staff is extremely friendly. I almost wasn’t sure I was still in Miami. Such a cute little market with fresh baked breads, desserts, and amazing prepared food. I was blown away by the quality of everything in there. I got the chicken salad with cranberry’s WOW ! Next time I a in this area I will for sure be back !!!

A great place for a sandwich, Wednesday Pizza night, bakery goods and all around take and go! For those complaining about the price… this is what is costs for good quality food! This is not a $ 3.99 deli sandwich people! Know that going in or don’t go. My favorites, chocolate chips cookies, they are HUGE and perfectly crisp on the edges and soft and chewy in the center, the curry chicken salad, the bunt cake and the turkey sandwich with cranberry relish, YUM! Not a fan of their bagels, too soft. Being from the north, it’s hard to find a good bagel in Florida, so not 100% their fault ;). So run, don’t walk and check it out, you won’t be sorry!

Oh la la! Have I died and gone to Paris? Located right next to my job, this lovely little café/bakery is the closest I’ve ever gotten to experiencing Europe in the US. After taking a Euro-trip with my girlfriend one summer, I’ve searched near and far for any place feeling even slightly authentic, all to no avail– that is, until I discovered Joanna’s. This marketplace reminds me of the precious, mom and pop bakeries in France. They sell fresh baked breads, a variety of cheeses, exotic jams and jellies, as well as my favorite floral chocolates that i swore id revisit France just to taste again! While a little pricey, their sandwhiches are incredibly filling and delicious. My favorite is the Elena Ruth– turkey, cream cheese, and strawberry jelly on a baguette. I also like topping it off with a delicious coffee from their in-market café. Joanna’s Marketplace, you guys really take the cake! From the beautiful, wood and chalkboard décor, to the wonderful goodies and the courteous staff… What a gem!
