Ok ok. I read the first batch of reviews. Sometimes I get annoyed when I read a really harsh review. So I turned my nose to the 1 Star reviews. With that said we had a similar experience to the one star reviews. We ordered Quinua Risotto with Lomo Salteado. What showed up was rice risotto with lomo Salteado. So they get 3 stars The food was good. The little kernels of corn were very stale tasting compare to Sabor de Peru.

DONOTEATHERE. THEREARECOCKROACHESEVERYWHERE. If I could give it zero stars, I definitely would. This place is crawling with cockroaches. On the tables and in the bathroom. I don’t even want to imagine what the kitchen must look like. Probably infested. Made me want to vomit. The worst part is that they accused me of bringing be roaches with me so I wouldn’t have to pay my bill. They actually accused me of having cockroaches in my pocket or something. These people are a disgrace.

Please save yourself the trouble and don’t come here. I am still so aggravated writing this review. When we first got here, we sat ourselves down and it took about 15 minutes to finally see our waitress. She finally came and she said she was going to be right back. That’s another 5 minutes. The least she could’ve done, was having someone bring us at least some water. Then she finally came, after 25 minutes and offered us water. I thought to myself, finally, at least a beverage. Nope, it took her another 10 minutes to bring us water WITH the menu. Yup, we didn’t have the menu till after 30 minutes of sitting here and having no waitress to be found. Finally we got to order, and mind you, two of the drink orders(coffee) didn’t come. Just the water. And we thought okay maybe the food will be worth it. It took another 45 minutes for our food to come out. Mind you people, this isn’t a complicated dish. It was SANDWICHES. 45 minutes for sandwiches. Finally we were already ready to just leave and save ourselves from the misery. The food came, and I think we had just lost our appetite. The waitress was also rude and acted like she wasn’t lost. I’m truly disappointed. Such a nice place that can have a lot of potential. But terrible service.

Went out to dinner here with some friends gotta admit the food was really good the plate portions were large which we love! The only thing I forgot was to take photos of this delicious meals it was our first time at this place and we will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. I been to aromas del Perú as well and honestly think this place is better from the food you get served to the prices! I also felt like I was in Peru while inside having dinner so that was also a experience something different is always good! Good food humble spot! Hidden gem!

The dinner plates are big enough for two. Every thing is tasty. A bit pricy for a hole on a wall. It’s not a elegant place, very simple and service is o.k.

Went with a group of friends(8 total) on a Friday night. It is tucked on a small shopping strip and it has a market for peruvian products. Nothing fancy about, except the food. They had live peruvian typical music that night. The music was very loud and it was hard to talk. So we focused on the food and drinks. The sangria was very good. We ordered some big plates to share: Choros a la Chalaca, Tacu Tacu de lomo, pulpo y camarones sampler, big Jalea Mixta. Everything was very good. And the prices were very reasonable for a large group.

The one I went to is located on 79 street in north Miami. Flat out this place is average at best. Stop to watch a world cup qualifier soccer match today. There was one older woman zipping on wine, she was the only costumer. I saw an ad on the bathroom about 2 for 1 happy hour beer special but they didn’t honor it. Ordered a crystal beer and a fish ceviche. Nothing special worth mentioning on the flavor. No maiz tostado in sight. You want it, it’s an added charge. Should have gone to the Brazilian restaurant Boteco, down the street.

Ive been a regular for the past 4 or 5 years i came today and ordered«papa a la huancaina» the sauce had an odd flavor which is totally weird considering the food is always good and fresh. I also ordered the anticuchos inca — they just serve né abticichos and charged me for the special one. Besides that the server was lost. Very unhelpful and rude when the questioned the food.

My husband took me here for dinner and we were very happy with the tacu tacu sampler, we got the mariscos. and two of the salto de loma very large portions. Ended up serving 4 people and still had leftovers. Please note the tip is included with the bill. Our waitress ended up getting a 15 dollar tip on a $ 40 dollar meal. The yucca huicaina was delicious. No room for desert

Food took a while to get out of the kitchen but you’ll get served a great amount of food. Tried lomo Saltado and Jalea better off with the steak

Best seafood soup I’ve had in a while– Aguadito de Marisco. Ceviche de corvina and various seafood-delicious! Wine, ceviche and live Spanish music. The place is a hole in the wall but there’s plenty of room inside. Dim lighting with disco ball and lights. Not common in the west Kendall area. What it didn’t like was the service was lacking as far as water refills and they add the 15% gratuity which may not be earned. I gave this place 4 stars because the Cuban guy singing sounds really good, the guy can sing and the Ceviche is fresh. I recommend this place but ask them to leave the pitcher of water!

My most favorite Peruvian place! Great service. I don’t speak a word in Spanish and the waitress spoke very good English and was very nice. Been coming here for years, still haven’t found a place better than this one.

There are like 5 Peruvian restaurants within a ½ mile radius of Kendal Drive. The majority of them are good with the exception of Pietro Lounge(they’re horrific) This was the only Peruvian restaurant that I hadn’t tried mostly because of my horrible experience at Pietro’s which is literally right next to The Bodega! It’s a pretty big restaurant and they have a lot of servers. I was acknowledged immediately and my waitress Emily was great! I ordered my favorite Lomo Saltado which was delicious! Nice size portions and a very fair price. The Chicha Morada was refreshing and also delicious. I see myself returning for more of their delicious food!

This is my favorite Peruvian spot, but due to its increasing popularity, the customer service has suffered particularly on the weekends when it gets chaotic. My favorite dish here is Anticuchos con pancita — beef heart with tripe. It’s my absolute favorite dish in the world.

I used to like this place a lot and never had a problem before, until today. I placed and order by phone. I waited 1 ½ hours for my food. While I was waiting this lady asked to speak with the owner. She was eating a ceviche and almost swallowed a metal wire. She was still holding the wire !!! I was standing next to her and couldn’t believe it. She spoke to the owner and I also asked him discretely to not to create more fuzz what was going on with my order. This is exactly what he answer: how is that people don’t complain when you go to «Macarroni and grill or Denny’s «vienen aca a joder. I was in shock So I asked: Are you serious ? Yes I am ! And he walked away. Really sad how you treat your clientele when you are under pressure.

One of the best Peruvian food restaurants in Miami. Authentic, generous portions, friendly staff. Karaōke on Friday and Saturday nights. I always stop here during trips to Miami.

Just had a Lomo saltado. Some places tend to cook the Lomo saltado pretty salty but this place was great. The attention is good also. It’s right a corner so parking is not that bad. Will come back for some more different recipes

What can I say? This is one of my favorite Peruvian spots in all of Miami. Why am I so fond of it, one might ask: Well, primarily because the food is phenomenally delicious and perhaps the most authentic Peruvian one can find in the greater Miami metro region. Yes, it’s way out in the West Kendall suburbs, but it’s totally worth the commute. Secondly, and nearly as important as the quality of the food, is the lack of pretentiousness of this locale. It’s indeed in a very nondescript suburban strip mall. When one enters, one finds a large dining area with extremely simple tables and chairs. This place isn’t about projecting a particular image of authentic, delicious Peruvian food — it doesn’t need to. La Bodega simply is authentic, delicious Peruvian food. I’ve had two different ceviches there on at least three separate occassions, and each one has been extremely fresh and perfectly seasoned with the right hints of spices and flavor. In truth, the service there is either hit or miss, but for the most part all the waitresses are extremely attentive, friendly, and eager to please. The Pisco Sours offered are absolutely delicious and served chilled. The only disappointing experience I’ve had there is when I decided to try to buy a bottle of Pisco(liquor) directly from La Bodega’s little dry goods area They were going to charge me $ 40 for a bottle that at any liquor store costs only $ 20. In any case, the food there is amazing, the service is warm and friendly, and the overall ambiance is unpretentious, exactly what a place focused on a quality product, not a illusory image, should be about.

The food and service were good. The price/food relation was OK… I try aji de gallina or lomo saltado, both were good. However, i dont like the ambience. The music was so loud.
