CLOSED! This was an extremely well-priced little eatery in Downtown but they closed a long time ago.

This place is pretty good. Actually there’s only one thing you need to know. The roast pork they use for the burritos and other dishes is excellent and made in house. They use whole bone-in fresh hams that they season well and slow roast until falling off the bone. It’s very good. The menu seems a bit weird other than the burritos, and I haven’t been brave enough to try anything else. But why do you need to try anything else when that pork’s so good? The owner and the staff are really really nice. Definitely five star service for a sandwich place

(2.25 stars) Famished after a long morning business meeting in downtown Miami, but lacking the time for a waiter-served lunch, I stumbled upon Lula’s. The concept here is interesting, something they call«pop fusion.» You start with a bowl of mashed white or sweet potatoes(or rice) then select either a protein(chicken, beef, pulled pork) or a predefined combo of meat and veggies. Add-in ingredients are available to complete your bowl. I can’t claim any special talent, as I’ve never experienced this type of cuisine before, but the end-result was quite tasty. Lunch was substantial and flavorful, without being bloating. There are a variety of sandwiches, soups, melts, salads and wraps for those not interesting in «pop fusion» bowl-building. Among the options are«emancipated burritos,» creative burrito combinations available in either rice bowl or traditional wrap presentations. The folks running Lula’s are friendly, helpful and warm– they expect that you will be initially baffled by their new options. The price of this feast, with a fountain soda, was under $ 10, and I was done with a leisurely and enjoyable lunch in a half-hour.

Lula’s was one of those pleasant surprises that appeared from the outside to be completely underwhelming — sort of a double-bonus, since my cheapest meal in Miami(so far) has proven to be the best. I’m not really knowledgeable about the intricacies of this genre of food, but what I do know is that my rice and chicken bowl came chock-full of goodies, including guacamole, salad, beans and rice. It was tasty, hearty and filling and for a total of less than $ 9(with a fru-fru bottled iced tea), was absolutely perfect.

Good food at a great price. Ingredients seemed to be of good quality.
This was a random stop for us, and a good pick. Food was well good, filling, and well priced for the portion size. Staff was really nice and helpful as well.

I walked by this place a few days ago and grabbed a menu. We ordered take out and it was here in about 25 minutes. As soon as we looked in the paper bag we were astounded by the size of everything. I was super excited to try the mashed potato bowls and I ordered the chili one. It was enormous and exactly what I wanted. Tons of mashed potatoes covered in chili. I also tried the Porkito Mojito. This too was amazing. Very flavorful, not soggy at all. My bf ordered the philly cheesesteak, he said it was average. The best part about this place-its SUPER cheap. All that plus a $ 2.00 delivery charge came to about $ 25 after tip. AMAZING! We can’t wait to order from here again. And its open 7 days a week which is sometimes hard to find downtown. Def recommend!

I work right next door so I wanted to check it out. I really wasn’t expecting much. I tried the pork mojito burrito with wild rice, pico de gallo, black beans with citrus dressing and mojito dressing. While they were making my burrito, they had given me a sample of their sweet potato mash with garlic. I found odd but as soon as I put it in my mouth it was creamy and good tasting. The reg mash potato with white cheddar AMAZING!!! I fell in love. The people was nice and friendly. The burrito was also Amazing!!! The way everything complimented and the juiciness of the pork just melting in my mouth. Next time I’m trying their mash bowl. I’m really excited about this place.

I was pleasantly surprised by this new restaurant in the downtown area(in the old Quizno’s spot). I had a really good roasted pork burrito at a decent price. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
