I give them one star only because I cannot give them negative stars! I ordered from them twice and each experience was horrible. The first time I ordered, they completely messed up everything… We decided to give them another try and can you believe it took 4 hours!!! Our food was ICECOLD and when we called the cashier Louisa, she gave nothing but attitude. She constantly stated it wasn’t her fault but honestly, who fault is it! 4 hours for Sushi, Come on that’s not healthy! Never Again, one week — two bad experiences!

This is one of those places where you can’t experiment too much. I always get the same thing. It’s called a CRISPYSPY. It’s a bed of rice with a lot of spicy tuna on top with a little fresh avocado.

Awful! It says on their flyer and website that they are open until 11pm. I called at 10:30pm and they said they were closed. Horrible service!

Terrible service! We received our order after 1 hour and 15 minutes since we placed it. Besides, lady on the phone was very rude and very bad attitude. Food is not bad for the price, but delivery time is unbelievable. The place at Coral Gables is much more efficient.

The worst service I’ve ever had in my life. It takes at least 2 hours to get your order delivered, if you’re not put on hold forever and usually it comes wrong. When you call the place, the woman answering the phone gives you an attitude for complaining about your order. It’s a shame because the food is pretty good, but the service ruins it completely, never ordering from them again.

Congratulations! My first 1 star rating! The food is inedible. And tastes bad. I kinda figured it might, given the location downtown, but I was hopeful. I cannot eat warm, slimy sushi. I tried, but gave up. Even the salad was disgusting. Clearly made days ago. Full of water and soggy. I love ginger dressing, but I don’t even know what this was… Nasty.

Customer service on the phone eas great and fast!.. Although delivery took longer than expected. Estimatate wait time 45min. Food is good for the price. Quantities and qualities wise can become better. Sashimi appetizer and the spring rolls are a plus! Really recommeended if you are looking for quick sushi place to go around this area.

This place isn’t getting nearly enough stars as it should! Anytime I’m craving sushi, which is almost every other day, I always call Iron Sushi! I have never actually been inside the restaurant, but as far as the delivery goes it’s phenomenal! Always speedy delivery but the sushi is the best! Ive ordered from the fancier places nearby but it doesn’t come close to how good their sushi tastes. Not only is it cheap in price but if you like your sushi with a little more meat instead of just a ton of rice then you’ve found your place! Love this restaurant, and it’s always open pretty late!

I don’t usually rate businesses a 1 star. Usually, I just stop supporting them. Iron Sushi deserves a 1 star review and here’s why: I’ve ordered several times. More often than most, it’s been for delivery rather than dining in. The last couple of times I’ve ordered from Iron Sushi, I’ve noticed the quality of the sushi has been on a decline. I figured it could have been for many different reasons so I decided to give them another shot. After today, they’ve lost a customer. I placed an order over the phone, after 3 tries because the lady that kept answering the phone would place me in hold without asking or addressing me. Once she was ready to take my order, she asked if I would be paying with cash or card? I stated I would be paying with a card. She requested my card information; I provided with the information she requested. After the order was finalized, she mentioned that it would be about an hour before I would get my order. I thought that was kind of ridiculous, but she had already charged my card, so I went along. After an hour and fifteen minutes, I call Iron sushi to ask about the status of my order. The same lady who took my order, stated that the driver had left 10 minutes ago, and that he should be arriving shortly. After 1 hour and 20 minutes, the food arrived. When I opened the door, the delivery guy had a pissed off look on his face, I ignored it and requested that he hand over the food. He declined and said, he needed my card. I asked why he needed it, and he said he needed to scratch my card on to a receipt so that they can keep it on file. I immediately declined due to the fact that the ancient way of keeping credit card receipts/records on file is a huge security risk. I told the deliver guy that my card had already been processed and charged. I was willing to let him verify visually but I do not feel comfortable handing over my card so that he may scratch off the numbers on to a blank credit card receipt(aren’t we in 2014). The delivery guy got angry and said that«I should know better» and that«this procedure was explained to you over the phone». I disagreed with him because their ancient and unsecure procedure was not explained prior; I would have never agreed. He said I was lying because that’s their company policy. Since I didn’t appreciate being called a liar, I called Iron Sushi and placed the call on speakerphone so that he can hear. I asked the lady who took my order, if in fact she had explained their procedure. She admitted that she had not explained it. After 5 minutes at the door, arguing with the delivery guy and the lady on the phone at Iron Sushi, I was furious and disappointed in Iron Sushi. Needless to say, they lost a loyal customer. Their childish antics and insecure point of sale procedures make Iron Sushi an unprofessional and inconvinient place to order from. After the embarrasing scenario, I opened the knotted plastic bag, used to carry my order. The sushi was warm. Sushi kept at room temperature starts to develop bacteria. I was disgusted by the smell and the look of the warm sushi. Who knows how long it had been sitting at room temperature, prior to delivery. I called Iron Sushi to request a refund. My request was denied after arguing with them for 10 minutes. This is by far the most unprofessional sushi«restaurant» spot I’ve ever dealt with. Steer clear, don’t risk your time, money and health.

Lots of impatient and perhaps deluded reviewers here. This is the most literal implementation of the phrase«HOLE in the wall.» It seats at most 15 patrons and there is one cashier and one chef. So yes, you might have to wait a little while to have your order taken and served. Maybe if you could see outside your own heads you would notice this. I visit several times per week at different times of the day and am always served within 5 – 10 minutes, but maybe that’s because I’m polite to PEOPLEWHOHANDLEANDSERVEMEFOOD. And my expectations aren’t soaring for a 500 sq ft establishment. Now for the actual food my goto dish is the salmon bowl: 7 pieces of salmon sashimi which is 99% of the time fantastic served over a bowl of rice. Cost? 7 dollars. This is THE best deal for sushi you will find downtown/Brickell. I will say that I tried some rolls before and was not impressed. But let’s face it sushi is not the highest quality in Miami. And these are $ 3 – 4 rolls. /end rant. er review As a side note, I notice a lot of frustrated customers all the time because they have to wait more than a minute to get some attention and it just makes me laugh. Yes, I’m laughing at you.

If it weren’t for the 30 – 45 minute wait to get your food, I’d give them 5 stars. I have never had a bad experience(knock on wood) and I am obsessed with the Iron’s Curry.

Eh, not as bad as everyone makes it seem in my opinion. It’s cheap that’s for sure, and the quality reflects that. But it’s better than Publix sushi– and Publix sushi isn’t even that cheap. No, they aren’t the quickest but nowhere in Miami is so I’m starting to just accept that. And yeah, my rolls have inconsistent sizes of fish in them. The rolls my husband and I had were at least fresh, and they fried dumplings were pretty tasty. My new«I-don’t-feel-like-driving-for-sushi» place.

I don’t know what people are expecting when they order from Iron Sushi, but you get what you pay for and Iron Sushi is pretty decent when you want an inexpensive option to quell your sushi craving. This review is about the delivery. I have never dined in. I order from here probably twice a month and other than long delivery times, I’ve rarely been disappointed with what I’ve ordered. This is fast food sushi, people – not gourmet fare so set your expectations accordingly. The important things are that the food tastes good, rice is moist, prices are cheap, portions are decent and, most importantly, I have never once gotten sick. Stick to the more common dishes when you order. It’s kinda hard to mess up a spicy tuna roll. If you are ordering tempura, just know that the food takes a bit to be delivered so its prob not going to be crispy when it gets to your door. Choose something else instead. Iron sushi is one of those last-minute, in a pinch kinda places. They deliver late(yes, they are slow), but they provide good value for the money. If you want gourmet sushi, go some place else. This is definitely not the place. This is the equivalent of what a Pollo Tropical is to Cuban food: decent, inexpensive, great for a low key meal any day of the week.

I called 53 minutes after we placed our delivery order to be told that we should wait an additional 25 – 30 minutes on top of the estimated 45 minutes to 1 hour time-frame that was given to me when the order was placed. The driver was apparently out on another run and didn’t even have the food on him, we would have to wait longer than 25 minutes for them to return from their pickup and pickup our food to then deliver it, in total over 90 minutes for sushi… When I asked for compensation, we were told that the manager«says no!» and admitted to not even making the food yet! Horrible experience, prices aside, with service and responses like these, its not wonder they are averaging 2 of 5 stars… Avoid if possible!

I haven’t physically eaten at this restaurant, and it sounds like it’s a good thing that I haven’t. This review is just for the sushi that was delivered to my place on one lazy evening. If I’m going to have someone deliver something, I’d opt for Iron Sushi over Domino’s any day. Don’t expect anything fancy when ordering from this place. This is fast-food chain sushi, and when you accept that, you’ll be happier with the outcome. I’ve split the family-style sushi platters before from the South Beach version of this place and was not very impressed — they’re pretty much collections of a large number of less-than-desirable rolls. This time, I decided to pick and choose a bunch of cheap but better quality rolls from the menu. If you’re craving large amounts of sushi(most rolls range from $ 3 – 7), it’s possible to make an acceptable meal this way. Here’s what my husband and I did(I didn’t eat it all myself!!! I swear!): — Seaweed Salad. It tastes the same to me at every sushi restaurant, and Iron Sushi kept to the standard. — JB. I like cream cheese, and that’s what this roll tastes like. — Shrimp Tempura. Just what I expected. It tastes pretty good with wasabi. — Salmon tempura. It came soggy — I wouldn’t recommend getting this roll if you’re opting for delivery. — Avocado&Shrimp roll. Exactly what it says. Nothing more, nothing less. — Fire roll. This was the only complicated roll that we tried this time, and I regretted ordering it. It was pretty inedible. We ended up throwing away the majority of this one. It tasted like horribly hot chili powder had been sprinkled on a can of tunafish. I’ve had the eel and the salmon skin rolls here before. The eel sauce was sickly sweet(not the same quality of other sushi restaurants), and the salmon skin had a gritty(meat-gristle-like) texture. I’d avoid these ingredients at Iron Sushi. I’d recommend choosing the simpler rolls here. Fancy items can fail miserably, whereas simpler items are harder to mess up and can actually be satisfying.

Ive done both to-go and delivery a handful of times out of convenience but it is always a disappointment. It’s just really not all that good and I usually end up regretting my decision. McDonald’s of sushi.

How long should one have to wait to be served? I waited for five minutes without being helped and decided to leave. I returned ten minutes later since I really wanted some tuna. During my next waiting period I saw several other patrons asking for their food. After five minutes I left again. I sat down at Starbucks and waited for the area to clear. When the coast was clear I returned. Again, I was left to look into the establishment, employees looking back at me as I waited and I was still not assisted. They are apparently doing fine without my business and don’t need my patronage. I see no reason to return.
