If you’re looking for sushi with a flare… Kone is the place. The combinations and flavors add a different perspective to the concept of sushi. The choice of spices gives the food a tasty flavor. I enjoyed a variety of dishes, to name a few the rock shrimp, the crab salad and the whitefish sashimi with jalapeños is a must… I can go on and on. The drinks were also delicious. Lastly, to settle your stomach, dessert is a must at Kone. I can’t even begin to describe… lmagine waffle cones filled with chocolate fudge, caramel, coconut and nutella to name some flavors. Exceptionally mouthwatering! The restaurant offers a variety of specials and happy hour daily from Monday to Friday. Kone is also strategically located in downtown Miami, so if you work and live in the vicinity definitely worth dining. You will not regret… it will become an addiction that keeps drawing you back for more

I recently attended a «YEE» here, and this is the review I left: This was another excellent event put on by Cassie and the Miami Unilocal crew. I really enjoyed the sit-down assigned seat family style dinner, and I had a great group of people at my table. Kone is a Krazy cool place that I can definitely see myself coming back to. I liked the Brazilian /Japanese twist that they have going on there. The food was very tasty and was prepared very nicely. It must have been very hectic for them, trying to serve all that food to everyone at once, but the staff did a great job keeping the drinks flowing and the food running. I could have eaten a lot more :) Im looking forward to coming back and trying more things. Thank you Cassie/YELP and the Kone staff for a delicious evening!

Kone has been my go to for sushi since they have opened. I love everything, from their rolls to their Kones. They have also always kept up and provided outstanding service all the time I been there. Now my last time there, yesterday, I was there and unfortunately they were having a private event(actually from Unilocal) and we were requested to sit outside. This was Ok with us since it was a beautiful day and it was not too hot nor too humid. However, there was some construction outside and they were blowing dust all over our drinks. We had to ask politely several times to have a sit inside until they finally agreed. We were grateful for that but neither me nor my friend felt welcomed inside; as if they would rather have us gone instead. After that, everything went well, we had couple of appetizers and sushi rolls and everything was delicious except for their Love Park roll. Now this is one of my favorites rolls, and not sure why or when, but they changed its recipe. Instead of using only salmon, they put crab meat in it. It was okay but being a regular customer, I was expecting my regular Love park roll. They still got great sushi and good service. I would recommend to honestly let customers know that if you can’t accommodate them, let them know about it. We would have no problem coming back another time whenever they are open to public.

I never take the Time To write A review here and i allways thought that it was too easy for people To affect a business. The problem is that i had here my worst Sushi experience ever. And Like rveryone, i allready had A few«mixed experience» With Sushi or any kind of food. But here i think these people are just makin fun of their customers, and even worst, i think their playin With their physical integrity. I had A roll With Salmon With advocado… The very thin and black piece of advocado On top of one of the 6 pieces Was so ridiculous that They brought me, In an extra plate, half of an avocado. So i can maybe prepare the roll by myself directly To my table. I wont describe here the Salmon i had because i dont have the proper words. To Tell the truth, even the rice was ridiculously bad. If your lookin for good Sushi this is, accordin To my experience, the worst place i have seen. If your lookin for good service and hospitality, this is the wrong place. When i go To A restaurant and even In general, i really hate To be taken as A dumb. To finish, dont reply To me sayin that i probably A bad day, cause i was really havin A very good day. Such A good day that the terrible experience i had here didnt affect my hsppiness even if i hate To be robbed. Ps: it was not yesterday or the day before, it was two or three weeks ago. So its not A review i Just right after my lunch upset and mad… Its somethin i write very calm To Tell the people To be very careful before visiting u if They dont want To keep A very very bad souvenir… Best regards

During our trip to Miami, my boyfriend was really craving some Asian food so he made us come here. I think his comment that«I will never go to these types of places again» really says it all. And that when we went during prime dinner time, there were only 2 other tables filled. I mean, there are some fusion places that are good, but not this one. I didn’t even bother to order sashimi here. The rolls that my boyfriend and I shared were dinky and not well made. They were so small! The only thing I liked that we ordered was the poke sampler, but that’s just because I like raw fish. On top of everything being very mediocre, everything was also extremely overpriced. For three items, no alcohol or anything, the bill was about $ 70.

We had gyoza, ceviche sampler, rainbow roll, and chicken fried rice. The chicken fried rice was made really nicely, I would say it was our favorite from this selection. The rainbow roll lacked flavor, and everything else was pretty decent.

The carpaccio was amazing! The salmon melted like butter and I also added jalapeños for a kick. It was delicious. Come during their happy hour(3−7pm) they have great deals. Their Ika Sansai was delicious as well.

First time dining right smack of downtown and I loved this restaurant. It is a casual restaurant with an upscale culinary menu. The service was great, no complaints here. The food presentation amazing and the taste even better. I know, what is more descriptive than amazing. My family and I loved every dish that we had. There was not one better than the other. If you go make sure that you order the house Sakerinhas(I must be weak as just one got me tipsy) and leave room for the sweet Kones desserts. All I can say is that my family and I can’t wait to go back. Parking was a little busy as we had to perk in a public park it lot but if you are lucky you might find parking adjacent to the stores.

Ok so let me start I was planning on getting all you can eat cause I missed poc hours for lunch. So I went online to check this place out and saw they had all you can eat as well. So my first time. I should of called sigh. I walk in and ask they say only for dinner. So fuck it. I decided to try it anyway. I ordered a beer and was hot. I asked the waiter that the beer was hot. He said it was on tap. Great so that was the explanation. So he should of said the freezers don’t chill beer correctly. End trial didn’t ask to take it off check I didn’t drink. So my girlfriend and I ordered several rolls off the menu. Was ok. But one thing bothered me. VOLCANOROLLWITHCOLDCRABTOPPING? Wow. End result I spent 70 $ and still starving. I do recommend place if you want to spend a lot of money for small Rolls and hot beer. I gave 2 stars for nice atmosphere and somewhat decent sushi Again my opinion comparing it to poc. Which everyone needs to go

As a HUGE sushi lover, out of all of the sushi places in Miami, Kone is by far the best in terms of service, atmosphere, and food. They have a rather selective set of different appetizers, rolls, and special Kone’s and dessert Kone’s making everything on the menu a MUST try. The chef’s are always working quickly and diligently, and the waitress, Luana, is very sweet and is always looking to please the customers. The whole staff is extremely kind and committed, and it’s very apparent that they are always paying attention to the customer and will do whatever they can to please their needs. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at this establishment and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Sushi. I regret finding it so late as I live in Miami Beach, but it’s definitely worth a stop by if you’re in downtown Miami and looking for a great place!

I came to this restaurant since i moved to the are and i was craving some sushi. It was lunch time so i decided to try the lunch menu, i ordered one of the combos and which brings a roll, sashimi and sushi. The raw salmon tastes REALLYBAD and even the vinegar rice taste like old wet clothes. The roll was supposed to be a dragon roll with avocado on top, out of 5 or 6 pcs only two had a little bit of avocado. I complained to the server and he gave me excuses saying that sometimes it does sometimes it does not(im from the business and have worked in japanesse restaurants before, i know how a dragon roll looks like). Then he offered to bring avocado on the side. I cant believe this restaurant has 4 stars in Unilocal which is causing to mislead people into having high expectations. Maybe it was my bad luck that day but it was the WORST sushi i have tried.

I was happy to see this place open in Downtown, where it’s so hard to find decently priced, good sushi. They do have great specials during the week and an all-you-can eat option for a fair price. The sushi is good, but if you are ordering from the regular menu, many of the rolls are overpriced and tiny in my opinion. Improve on the size or the price and you’ll get a better rating Kone.

Service was awesome. Katia the pride of Odessa was our server. Sushi is better than good but not great. Located downtown, near the Miami– Dade Courthouse, this place has a nice happy hour menu with 2⁄1 Prosecco and a variety of lite bites. Would I go back? Only if we were starving. They did offer a Unilocal check in bonus of a free desert.

It was one of those nights where a majority of the day was spent traveling. So I tried this place out for takeout after getting home from a flight. I ordered the king of sobe roll, the monster trio roll, and the maguro tataki. Both rolls were tiny and rolled sloppily as the sushi fell apart and the rice was too soft and mushy. The tataki wasn’t great either and after eating $ 45 worth, I found myself still hungry and unsatisfied. I would rather go down the street to burrito San to get a $ 10 sushi burrito that satisfies my hunger and tastes wayyyy better! Skip this place. I have no issue paying more for specialty sushi rolls especially if they are creative and tasty. But this was just glorified supermarket sushi served in a nicer atmosphere. *update* Came back to give them another shot after the owner reached out and graciously offered redemption. Sadly it was even worse than the first time. We ordered a couple hand rolls and were told by the waiter that they were out of masago. Maybe the staff didn’t know what masago was because by the end of the meal the owner notifies us that they magically have masago again. The rice is so mushy and plain. I don’t even think they put rice vinegar into the sushi rice. The fish tastes old and as if it has been frozen for a while and thawed out too long. Sorry Kone, I appreciated the offer to come back but I wish your food was better.

This is the best thing that happened in downtown Miami, in 2015, in the Sushi restaurant business. Plenty of innovations, very warm reception, and all you expect when you go out for a sushi.

I have walked by Kone, I don’t know how many times, on my way to Starbucks. The place has awesome lunch specials and wide variety of Kones :). I went for the magma roll, with a miso soup, and wakkame salad to share with the table. The roll was pretty good. It didn’t completely look like the picture, which looked like it was topped with salmon and had cream cheese in there also. Basically the roll was salmon inside and topped with tuna, that was it. I guess it was not as exciting as I had hoped it to be, but it was still delicious and the fish is very fresh. Oh and the rock shrimp appetizer is a must. I know, fried food is no bueno, but it is totally worth it. The portion is also big enough for three people to share. The staff is very friendly and the place is great for groups.

The is a nice place if it’s wasn’t so dirty, I was here with my girl friend and we ordered and few rules. Wile waiting on the food i went to the bathroom, so gross, that I wanted to leave. I refused to eat my rolls, and my girlfriend did and got sick. I would be careful eating here.

I’m really surprised at some of these reviews or perhaps I haven’t tried this place enough times to experience anything bad… We Moved to Brickell recently and tried almost all of the sushi restaurants in the immediate area and all just mediocre at VERY best. With over a half dozen attempts each time leaves my boyfriend and I turning to each other and saying«well I guess we won’t try that place again.» You would think we would have given up but not so fast… our love for sushi keeps our quest alive! One night we decide to stay in and order food. The craving prevails and I find myself on the hunt for sushi. I came across Kone and decided to give it a try. I was super impressed for a couple reasons: The sushi was fresh and tasty I would give the food 4 stars alone. Order the Magma roll and the OH roll both were different and excellent! The 5th star is for the delivery… I’m not sure if it’s just food delivery in Brickell period or the fact that we live in a new building and that confuses people but we have had the worst experience with that. Either the order is wrong, it’s a minimum of an hour(if we’re lucky), food is cold and soggy when it finally arrives or all of the above. Kone Sushi was quick, order was correct, food was packed nicely and no issues with having to direct he driver. I’m happy to find this place! Will order again and looking forward to also trying out their happy hour.

Came across this place on a Sunday evening with a girl friend when we were craving sushi. We sat outside since it was nice & chilly outside, one of those rare Miami winter nights, & ordered hot green tea to keep us warm. After that we ordered the delicious Hawaiian device as an app. One word: BOMB. If was so good, prob bc it wasn’t like your regular ceviche. The rolls were great too & they were able to switch out a sauce for me since I’m allergic to Mayo. I liked the ambiance of the place; small & quaint. Only four stars because there was no hostess when we arrived & when someone who worked there approached it was only to grab menus so we decided to seat ourselves. & also there was no brown rice available at the moment.

This place is not that good. The waitress always disappears and get fully messed up with our order. We have waited for our salad for like, forever. The food is under my expectation. The miso soup and the chicken teriyaki is way too salty. Well the manager has a decent attitude, which wins some points for this restaurant.

This review should have been posted about a month ago. My experience was so bad at Kone Sushi that I had to write this 1-star review. We ordered a few dishes at Kone Sushi via Eat24 app. We saw this place has many positive reviews, so we decided to give it a chance. The delivery took over an hour, which wasn’t our issue at all. When we got our food. We immediately noticed the sushi looks like rice tossed with some fish and sauces. We also noticed we were missing 2 dishes. Okay, maybe they had a hectic evening and they forgot to deliver all our order. Maybe the food arrived smushed because of the delivery guy didn’t handle it with enough care. Things like that happen. When we tasted the dishes, we realized this is no coincidence. The food tastes HORRIBLE! Not even 1 item we got had a decent taste. Most were inedible! We called the restaurant to report the issue, hoping they would try to solve our issue. They didn’t offer anything that would accommodate our bad experience. We actually had to demand a refund on our meal, since it was the worst sushi we had tasted in our lives(no joke!). They even didn’t offer us a refund on the items we didn’t receive! We had to demand it! We tried explaining to them that keeping their customers happy should be their number 1 priority. Why would a customer have to educate a business on how to serve their customers?! Well they didn’t take our advice and we were only refunded the two dishes we didn’t get. The rest we just threw to be garbage. It was well deserved. I would give this restaurant a 0 star review if I could. Beware of eating here. You will be disappointed to say the least.

DONOTORDERFROMTHISPLACE!!! We saw some good reviews and decided to order an 8 dish dinner from them, which turned out to be a complete disappointment and WASTEOFMONEY! The order came in terrible shape: boxes were flipped over and at least half of the dishes were smooshed and unappetizing, 8 dishes tasted bad, 1 dish was simply left out of our order. Dishes we ordered: 1. gyoza-this was the only item that tasted somewhat okay 2. agadashi tofu– which was straight up inedible 3. veggie tofu roll– I don’t get how can you ruin a veggie roll but this one had bad taste, especially the after taste from the cream cheese, and the rice was just dry and falling apart from the seaweed 4. Salmon cone– came smooshed! Tasted okay 5. Crunchy monster roll– this roll was falling apart as well and tasted bad! 6. Rock shrimp– was left out of our order and the restaurant didn’t even offer to refund it until we insisted we didn’t even get it! 7. California roll– awful! 8. Nigiri salmon– fell apart and was smooshed. We requested a refund for the entire order(if we were sitting at that restaurant, we would probably just get up and leave) as it was a complete joke. The managers of this restaurant declined our request for a refund. It took two phone calls to these people to get a refund for the agadashi tofu(I wonder why.) and for the rock shrimp, which they tried to dismiss the fact we didn’t get. Awful customer service, awful food, this business doesn’t even deserve a review but Unilocalers should know this is a horrible restaurant!

I ordered a delivery and absolutely love the presentation of my orders. One of the rolls I ordered, the protein roll, I asked to replace the shrimp for another fish. That didn’t happen and my roll was super loose and with a bunch of kani around the plate. Other than that, everything else was descent n I would order from here again.

When you’re having a lazy day but still want to have amazing food… sounds like you need to find the best sushi place nearby that delivers! For me that was Kone Sushi and I was also able to use my Eat24 weekend coupon on the order! Ordering was easy, the delivery was fast, and the sushi was great! At first it was impossible to choose which sushis to have. Everything sounded good and everything looked good. So then I contemplated ordering the entire menu… logic sank in and I made some critical decisions. I decided on the Miami Beach tempura roll and the Pure Protein roll. Even for delivery, the presentation was great and the sushi was very fresh. Even though the pieces of the Miami Beach tempura roll are signifactnly larger than the average sushi roll but they are still bite size! Love the crunchiness of the tempura, the thin slice of jalapeño for an extra kick, and fresh ingredients. The pure protein roll was a nice change of pace as a riceless roll. It came with a ponzu truffle oil sauce which I thought really complimented the roll. I must admit, I did order a dessert… I didn’t finish it… it was so good I thought it was worth saving. Since I was ordered from KONE, I went with one of their«kones» for dessert. It was stuffed with dulce de leche goodness and it was perfect!

Since a new location calls for a new review, I’ll gladly go along with that. First time in new location downtown and still delicious. Their cuisine is Japanese, with a Brazilian kick… great combo! They now have a very busy lunch hour, being surrounded by office buildings that they didn’t have at the MB location. Street parking, surely easier to find after 6pm) and a garage right across the street. Their All-you-can-eat, is normally $ 26.95 Mon.-Thur, and on Tuesday, $ 20.oo, for ladies only! They have excellent specials on other nights too and even a Unilocal check in offer! I’d never ordered the all-you-can-eat, before at the old spot, but I’ve also never found myself wishing a restaurant offered LESS food, and SMALLER portions. The offerings on the AYCE menu are tooo generous. I thought I’d receive small plates and could sample more choices. WRONG. Started with the wakame… okay, normal portion, but like gari, it goes down easily. Then what I assumed would be a few tempura veggie bites was a big-azz full sized plate wth at LEAST12 items including shrimp. which in– and– of– itself could have easily constituted my entire dinner! Then,(and I asked) if the rolls were full sized with each reorder or just pieces and I was assured that they were half-rolls. Good, I ordered the Love Park and Ebi Special, leaving me what I thought would be enough room for my favorite Romeo and Juliette dessert kone. Keep in mind, I ordered all of this before they brought any of it. True, the Ebi and Love Park were only half rolls… which probably measured a good solid eight inches of food. EACH! Pleaded with them to only bring me the«mini» dessert cone. …and all was delicious, prepared well and atractivelly presented and served in a timely manner even with a full house. In fact, if you order off the regular menu, I’m sure you’ll be pleased. Their Cusabe sauce is yummy and different. Their Rock Shrimp is very tasty. and did I mention the portions were generous? ;-). Servers Creüsa, the model of efficiency, and Gustavo, warm and friendly, and David, the personable general manager rounded out my first(of many, I hope), experience at their new location. xo-a

Kone recently moved from South Beach to Downtown and I think it was such a good choice to move. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and perfect for a quick date night or a large group of people. They have a special that almost seems to good to be true. They offer an ALLYOUCANEAT special which includes appetizers, rolls, nigiri, hand rolls and dessert all for ONLY $ 28. Even though it’s only offered Monday-Thursday, it’s a great excuse to get out of the house and go on a date before the weekend. The best thing is that they put a lot of there best menu items on the all you can eat. It’s not one of those grimy places that only give you small portions or only a few things off of the menu for an All You Can Eat option. My top two favorite rolls from there are on the All You Can Eat Menu, those rolls are the Shaggy Dog and the Crunch Monster. So that worked out well! As for drinks, they do an awesome job. The drink I always get is the lychee caipirinha. So much lychee, but be careful they taste so good it’s easy to drink them down quick but they’ll have you feeling pretty good after a few! Overall one of my favorite sushi restaurants and such good service every time I go! I would suggest this spot to anyone I know!

Ordered delivery and was not impressed. My $ 14 roll was tiny, with microscopic amounts of shrimp and salmon. They skimp even on the rice(which was overcooked) and mask the lack of seafood with syrupy sauces. My tempura cheesecake was a nice size, but $ 7.95 is a lot, and it was just plain, no whipped cream, no chocolate syrup, nothing to make it look pretty. Also, by the time my order arrived, it was soft, room temperature and soggy. There are far better sushi delivery options in the downtown/Brickell area.
