Sushi was tasty. The big Mack was wild. I was visiting Miami for work and stumbled across this place. Would be good to come with friends but tiny.

I had heard about this place in the Miami Herald and decided to try it while I was in town. Needless to say, I was very satisfied! I started off with an order of Edamame while I was waiting for a friend to arrive. Once my friend got here, we decided to order a variety and taste everything. We ordered an Indonesian salad, three different sushi rolls, and a seaweed salad. The sushi was delicious, especially the Rock and Roll crunchy roll! The other ones we selected were the crunchy tuna roll and a smoked salmon roll. The Indonesian salad was SUPER good. It had lettuce, veggies, deep fried hard-boiled eggs with a spicy salsa and coated in a peanut sauce. They also have take out and delivery options if you like, so you can bring it back home with you or take it to go.

I was directed here after a search for restaurants for dinner in the Omni area and once again, Unilocal Nation did not steer me wrong! The restaurant is small but clean with a beautiful fish mural along one wall and the sushi station along the other. As with most places downtown after dark, it was empty, so we had our choice of seating. I checked in on Unilocal and received a free miso soup(only one check-in freebie per table, FYI). We enjoyed the umami while perusing the extensive menu. It is HUGE and encompasses Japan, Peru and Indonesia. After much deliberation, we ordered the Hawaii roll, the peanut cream cheese roll(do NOT judge!) and a ceviche al olivo. The Hawaii roll arrived first and it was absolutely stuffed with the freshest fish at the perfect temperature! Really delicious and with the fish just a shade cooler than room temp, the flavor really came through. Just as we were finishing that up, the ceviche arrived in all of it’s black olive-y savoriness. Finally, the peanut roll arrived and it was awesome! Totally not something I have encountered before, with the crunch of the peanuts offset by creamy cream cheese. A few things keep it from being 5-star: The food comes on plastic plates and bowls. Aside from being an environmental nightmare, it makes the restaurant feel take out-y. The service was good, but a few missteps — the guy was mopping the floor around us and it took a really long time to get the check because they were tied up taking phone orders. They did apologize profusely for both. Also, while the prices are very reasonable(more expensive items on the menu deliver good value), they do auto-gratuity 18% which I guess is the new normal, but it really isn’t fine dining(see above, re: plastic plates) At any rate, I look forward to continuing my tour of Asia next time I am in the area!

My new favorite spot!!! The food and the staff is amazing. Try the tuna quinoa wrap and the mix carpaccio. I also have ordered a few times delivery and still a good experience. Good job guys keep doing it

Good food, decent price and close by. I think they opened a few weeks prior and we seated ourselves. The server was really attentive and hooked it up with 2 miso soups for Unilocal check in and a Thai iced tea on the house. I enjoyed the food and left full. The iced tea was tasty. I will return when I want a Japanese food fix.

We got to the place around 2pm for lunch, so the place was not empty. It took like 10 min to bring the menu, 15 min to take our order. We had Bento Boxes, they food was good and different from usual bento’s. But the food was cold and we didn’t like the cheap plates they were served on. After a long wait to eat, we decided to have dessert. We asked for green tea ice cream and the machine broke down the day before. I’m definetely not coming back.

I live like 5min from Little Lotus and was hoping for a restaurant like this, and what is like this?(Good food and not overpriced. Professional staff and mannered, if I would advice something it would be the Java, to me it’s the best even know I haven’t tried anything else. My wife got it for me once and I was sold. Ask for Sari or Sandro, exceptional customer service. Thank you.

While the neighborhood is pretty dead at night, the food here is great, and the menu has some great unexpected dishes. Ordered some of the specialty rolls to go and was not disappointed. Food was made fresh so there was a wait. The restaurant itself seems like it does more delivery and take out than dine-in. Quality and customer service is good.

i took a walk and find this little jewel. it wasn’t at all crowded so I didn’t understand the wait however for what I had it was very much so worth the wait. I had a bento box which came with grill salmon, ginger salad, miso soup, and four California rolls and a side of rice. The food was fresh, favorable, and felt healthy. If you looking for good inexpensive sushi try here you wont be disappointed.

I ordered lunch delivered to the office. The food arrived quickly which was great. Something as simple as a Ginger side salad was the best I have ever had. Ingredients used were so fresh and tasty. I ordered the Sushi Lover Combo. 8 pieces of sushi and a California roll. The sushi portions were big, incredibly fresh and tasty. My co-worker ordered the 3 Rolls Combo. Her 3 choices were all delicious as well. Good sized rolls. Very filling. Overall I was incredibly impressed by each item we ordered.

Has potential however my dining experience was horrible. The tables were completely empty when my friend and I arrived so we sat ourselves. We were greeted with menus and we ordered beverages. The waiter was very accommodating as he attempted to make me sweet tea. My friend ordered the popular Sushi Burger. I ordered the Asian Bento Box. It took FOREVER for my order. My friend was done with his sushi by the time I received the Wrong meal. That’s right! I was served a salmon bento box. The waiter didn’t explain until after I was served that he felt like the salmon was overcooked so he had them remake it. And it was still dry. So now, I’m waiting for the right meal. I received a free miso soup, thanks to Unilocal, that was delicious so I waited. This time not as long but our waiter doubled as the delivery guy and delivered 2 orders by the time I was served. My food came out, some of it was cold(the rice). Most of it was warm(the beef and chicken) It was ok. I’m sure it would have been better hot, and promptly made and served.

A coworker and I chose this place because we were looking for good Asian food and sushi. My coworker found this place on Unilocal and after we looked at it, it looked like it’d be a great place to try. It is new(as stated in Unilocal), so we knew that it could still have some growing pains. I won’t speak for her overall dinner because I’m sure she’ll leave a review, but I can speak for my own. I got the Sushi Burger. I’d asked the server if it was a roll(they don’t have pictures) and he said yes. When I got my «roll,» it came in four squares of horribly sloppy sushi with no seaweed used. While the taste wasn’t terrible, it was incredibly messy and not worth the price. I only had water to drink… they don’t have a lot of options for beverages. The worst experience was the server. While he was nice, I’m thinking it was his first serving job. The whole experience was awkward and when my coworker’s order came out wrong, the way he handled the situation wasn’t professional. At one point, he left for 45 minutes because he was also the delivery guy! Needless to say, my water was never refilled. This place may have potential when they work out some issues, but I won’t be going back for a long time!

Just opened downtown Brickle and is still getting their stuff together but the sushi is affordable and very good. The portions are great. Being a sushi lover I am happy that there is a quick place to go and get good sushi and not spend more than $ 20 on a meal. I highly recommend this place. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because the atmosphere is a little strange and dark. I would prefer it be a little lighter, kind of felt like a prison lighting.

Food came late(over an hour) so food arrived cold, but was the delivery service(I guess not their fault). We ordered chicken gyoza, two rolls special, chicken teriyaki bowl and miso. Gyoza: Standard, not bad, nothing special. Spicy tuna(added jalapeño and shrimp tempura) — tiny piece of jalapeño indiscernible to taste. Tiny piece of tuna, like a tiny sliver. Not spicy. Couldn’t taste the fish. Salmon Roll — Same problem here, tiny tiny piece of fish, very disappointing. Tiny piece of cream cheese. Like it was crazy they think that is a salmon roll! Both these rolls were basically shrimp tempura with rice wrapped around them. Nothing like the photos posted, both tasted the same. You’re just filling up on rice. Chicken Teriyaki — Disappointing taste, not a teriyaki flavor you would expect. Chicken was small little pieces(not a pounded chicken breast that had been sliced). And a huge amount of white rice. The chicken honestly looked like scraps. Miso — Average. I mean I’m not going to judge a $ 1.75 cup of miso. Sushi Maki is still my spot. At least they can get it right.

It’s back! Yay! Ordered the 8 Crazy Nites! It was as delicious as I remembered. Can’t wait to come back for my other favorites — Sushi Burger(Big Mack) roll & Snow in Heaven. They have bento boxes too with yummy Indonesian food. I’m really happy that they reopened!

For loyal clients of the old location, you will be happy to find all of your favorites on the menu, including the Big Mac roll and crispy paratha cake. The new location is where 20 Ceviches used to be(don’t let the sign confuse you), right next to Marshall’s on Flagler. Owner Sari has brought in the same great chef team and added some budget friendly Bento boxes, Peruvian and Indonesian dishes to the already extensive menu. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the takoyaki or the paratha cake. The takoyaki(crispy potato balls stuffed with octopus, then drizzled with a smoky BBQ sauce and bonito flakes) here are better than ones I had in Japan. The paratha cake is great for sharing. Warm, flaky paratha bread topped with spicy tuna tartar. I wish I wasn’t gluten-free, I remember it being super delicious. Little Lotus maki rolls are not only the best you will find in downtown, midtown or Brickell, they are also very competitively priced. Brown rice and even quinoa are optional substitutes for white rice. If you have any dietary preferences, like vegetarian, paleo or gluten-free, just ask Sari. She will happily accommodate, even if it’s not on the menu. In fact, some of the best dishes I had from Little Lotus were custom made. Finally, if you like sweets, get the mango sticky rice with sweet coconut milk. It was a huge portion but I literally couldn’t stop eating it. I love that it’s served warm. Om nom nom!

Sushi means rice in Japanese. It will make or break the meal if the rice is wrong or bland. The sushi here is amazing. You can get a simple nigiri from here and it bursts with flavor. Im very happy that Little Lotus is back in downtown. I love to eat asian style and the few asian places in downtown to eat are really terrible. This place has a great variety and everything is always fresh and delishous! !!

Little Lotus is back, and it is fantastic! I went the second day Little Lotus was open with two friends — which was great, because we got to try a ton of items. I would If you loved Little Lotus from a few years back when it was located by Pega Grill, you will recognize your favorite sushi rolls from that era. I had the«Big Mack» which was absolutely delicious. The«Eight Crazy Nights» roll was also top notch. Even better — the menu has now expanded. There are a number of Indonesian dishes that look very tempting. And they serve ceviche, which was great. We also had mango and sticky rice — an excellent option for dessert. The fish was of superior quality and very fresh. I don’t think you could possibly go wrong picking anything from the sushi menu. A final note — the staff here is great, and the owner is wonderful and passionate about the food. It’s always great to go eat at a restaurant where people are fired up and enthusiastic. Bookmark Little Lotus and head there right away. Seriously.
