Christina did my daughters makeup for Homecoming. She did an AMAZING job! Very impressed with the professionalism and the amount of time she spent with her!!! She was at the main entrance counter inside Macy’s at Dadeland mall.

I wish their customer service was as good as their makeup. I brought my daughter to have her makeup done today and was taken aback at how poorly trained the staff was in handling customers. They did a good job on the makeup but were apathetic at best, downright rude at worst. It is a shame that we won’t be going back.

two nights ago, I went to the Mac counter all the way by the exit in the main Macy’s. I was looking at the lipsticks and one of the sale associate stood next to us but didn’t even bother to say hello or asked if we needed anything. since I have manners I said hello to her and didn’t even get a response back. She just stood next to us hovering over us I guess to make sure we weren’t stealing anything. for a good 15 min period she just stood next to me watching me. I then asked her if she had a certain shade in stock which she responded with a plain no as if she couldn’t be bothered. she didn’t even offer alternative colors or check to see if the other macs had them. I was so insulted at this women behavior towards me. I had to leave and go to the other Mac counter. I will never go back to that Mac counter again!

I perfer going to the MAC store in Dadeland than the one that’s inside the Macy’s in southland mall. Two days ago I went to the Macy’s in southland mall and I asked the makeup artist for her opinion on a Lipstick I wanted to get, she looked at me from head to toe like trying to say that the color I wanted didn’t wasn’t going to look good on me, so I got the color and it looks amazing on me. From now on I will def go to Dadeland, the makeup artists there are nicer than the ones in southland mall.

So I love makeup as much as the next girl, but my style of wearing it is different now that I’m an old lady of *ahem* 30. I’ve always wanted to try MAC products deep down… namely the lipsticks and/or blushes. But fear held me back. See, I’m one of those women who sometimes gets the«Pretty Woman» treatment when I’m out and about. Maybe because I’m not rich and I don’t really conform to certain standards of beauty, I don’t know. But I always was a bit curious about the hype surrounding MAC… was it really worth it? I’ve always been more the type to shop at mostly Walgreens and Target for my makeup. The most expensive makeup item I own is a Chanel lipstick which cost a pretty penny. Anyway, I plucked up the nerve to approach my local MAC counter at Dadeland Mall where I was greeted by the lovely Sonia. She immediately put me at ease with her friendly demeanor and professional knowledge. I didn’t feel like she was looking down on me at all. She was just very sweet and helpful, answering all my dumb questions and showing me different things. I actually bought the lip color she was wearing because it was gorgeous and I was also impressed by her down-to-earth attitude… it was refreshing after all the snobs I tend to encounter while shopping or just living in Miami, period. She handed me her card and told me that she would help me in future if I ever needed anything. I will definitely return if she is still there. Her makeup was really pretty too, but not overdone… her lip color was the Viva Glam Rihanna which is a blue-based cherry red and part of the money goes to helping people with HIV/AIDS. I won’t go crazy with buying MAC cosmetics like some women do, but since Sonia showed me that there is no reason to be intimidated, I might make a few more purchases in future. So, 5 stars for Sonia! My next plan is to have her show me how to apply eyeshadow like she was wearing.

I went to the MAC counter at Dadeland yesterday to restock on some makeup and was unpleasantly surprised at the lack of customer service they provided. Out of SIX sales reps NOTONE approached me!(Mind you I was literally the only customer there, not to mention standing right in front of them) So I ended up having to ask one of them to help me grab the things I needed while the 5 others crowded around a mirror and gave each other makeovers. I have never been so insulted in my life! As a past retail sales manager I am shocked they are even meeting their daily sales quotas. I literally wanted to leave without buying anything and that’s sad because I’m usually a very frequent MAC Dadeland customer. I love their makeup but I will definitely not be returning to that counter!

This MAC is OK. I have been here several times and always experience a wait when I need assistance. Even when its not busy-Sometimes it seems they may be under staffed. Also I have come here to purchase something and they are out of it. I prefer the MAC store on Lincoln Road-it’s my favorite.

M*A*C cosmetics, extremely good and useful. Kind of pricey, but totally worth it sometimes. In my teenage years my mother helped me little by little start my collection of their cosmetics.

My all time favorite lipstick is Pink Plaid AB1, it’s so pretty! I came into this MAC and told the guy which shade I needed, he quickly got it for me and I also asked him which bronzer he thought was best for me. He showed me a couple different shades on my skin and I walked out happy with my new bronzer and Pink Plaid! My total was about $ 50.00 for the lipstick and pressed powder bronzer.

MAC Cosmetics located inside of the Macy’s Dadeland store. They have 2 counters downstairs and one upstairs. If you’re in a hurry, I suggest the upstairs counter, since it’s usually not as busy as downstairs. With a purchase of $ 50 worth of products, they will do your makeup for free. I’ve done this at least half a dozen times, always using different makeup artists, and they’ve always done a beautiful job. A lot of the artists can be hired for special events like weddings. I had Tommy come do makeup for my wedding, and he was a dream! We did a trial at the store first, and the day of the wedding he came over to do our makeup. My makeup held up PERFECTLY for over 10 hours.

My daughter was hard set on getting Mac lipstick so we went to Macy’s in Dadeland to the Mac counter on December 30th around 3pm. There were 3 clerks; one was busy doing makeup on a customer, one was walking around and another was arranging the shelfs. My daughter knew exactly what she wanted – the actual names of the lipstick colors. Not one of the clerks came around to help us find them or ask if we needed help. We had to open the drawers of stock ourselves(in plain view of the wanderer and the arranger) to search for the lipsticks(this took a good 15 minutes or more). Finally, when we found what we needed the clerk that was wandering aimlessly came by to ask if we needed help(I’m guessing because we boldly opened the drawers of stock SHE should have been opening). But by that time all she was required to do was ring up the sale. Im thinking that Mac Might as well put up a vending machine and save money on staff since they don’t do anything.

Going to a fabulous party and need to get all dolled up? Well let me tell you, make an appointment with MAC and they’ll have you being the star of the party. I went once for my birthday party, & they did a marvelous job using greens, greys, and silvers(because my birthday is on ST. Pattys Day) my eyes were like WOW… The other was for Halloween another marvelous job! Every time I’ve gone there they have never let me down. =] The only funny part of it is, the MAC station is located in the middle of the mall of Macy’s(Dadeland mall is the one I go to) so when you’re leaving your face is all glamorous, but you’re wearing regular clothes, so people tend to stare… haha All you have to do is buy any of their products totaling a minimum of $ 50.00.
